We arrived around 9:30 am and we were able to tour the castle with little crowds. The torture chamber tour is worth the extra cost. Beautiful place to visit.

We loved the castle. We didn’t have many expectations going in, and were really pleasantly surprised. It felt so cosy and cottage-y, it felt like a cob house with little recess shelves and nooks. It was SO busy, so I felt a bit rushed through to not hold people up. Adult tickets 60lei and you can add tickets to see the torture museum.

Walking through the narrow corridors and winding staircases, I couldn't help but feel transported back in time. The interior of Bran Castle is equally captivating, with its well-preserved rooms and authentic furnishings, giving visitors a glimpse into the life of the past inhabitants.

A lovely, well-kept and tidy place. You pay entry at the machines at the entrance, free entry with a disabled card. Besides the entrance, you can add a payment for the time elevator and the torture display

Really nice exhibits. The add on for the torture stuff was worth it. The Time Tunnel or whatever was not worth the extra cost. We spent about 1.5 hours there and took time to read most things. Lots of stairs and low doors. Watch out if you are tall.
I visited Romania and took a day trip to Transylvania. I visited Bran Castle, a beautiful building full of history and the views are stunning. The best way to get there from Bucharest is by car. There are many stalls with unusual items (not tacky) at the roadside and the option of being able to stop is a must.

Very beautiful place, most visit if you are around. (We were at the end of the winter) The Dracula story and the history are very interesting. There are few rooms there that you should pay extra money to see, must say that it is not so necessary to see.

A castle that seemingly is carved out of the rock.. the time tunnel tour was a waste of time. .. was 20lei per person so not expensive but you do get a chance to buy a photo at the end which was pretty cool and also only 15lei. The torture room experience was much better and was only 10lei each..some horrid devices !!

The views are spectacular and it's a really great castle to visit. It was a bit crowded the day we visited however it worth it and the village there has lots of amenities. Great little souvenir shop and lots of information about the Romanian culture. Definitely would visit again!
It's a cool castle located in a beautiful countryside. If you buy a ticket online in advance you don't have to wait in a line outside (costs about 9-10€). I was expecting it to be more "Dracula themed" but it has little to do with that besides the few pictures and some notes from the writer. It has an interesting Museum of torture (you have to buy a separate ticket to enter that area it costs around 2€) It was a bit crowded when we were visiting.
Lovely castle with a huge garden and nice park. I will recommend to be visited in summer as it looks great. As it's promoted as Dracula's Castle I think it would be nice to have more details about the history of DRACULA. The tour doesn't take too long and at the end you'll find a gifts shop for buying some souvenirs.
It's a beautiful castle and it's been turned into a real tourist attraction. The grounds all have signs to shops, restaurants and inside the castle you follow a set path. All around the castle are little Souvenir shops and some snack stalls. We went on a Thursday and arrived at 4:50pm, there was a really long line. The castle stops selling tickets at 6pm, but it seems that people who get in late can hang around and explore. We got in around 5:30 and were able to explore and shop at the museum shop even at 6:30pm. It took us 1 hour to see everything, but others definitely stayed around a bit more. By the time we left the restaurant was closed, so if you want things to be open make sure to get there early as parking around the area can be tough in high season. Some stairs and hallways are very small so if you're claustrophobic be aware. The castle has 2 additional add on to the standard self tour: tower/tunnel that looks like a long elevator down and the medieval torture devices. We did the medieval torture devices add on and it was a few rooms with replicas and some legitimate devices and explanations. The history and the views are worth it :)
It's okay. Very nice and well preserved castle. I don't like the atmosphere there. Vampire story is just made up to bring more tourist to the castle and get as much profit as they can. If you really know the history of king Vlad, nothing makes sense and actually then you discover his castle is even in completely different place. Fact that some American guy (current owner) just made some cheap and overcrowded attraction from this beautiful historic place is sad. Ticket price is definitely too high comparing to what you can see in other castles in this region. Is it worth to see? If you love castles as I do then you may consider it. There is plenty of tourists and kids making this place hard to enjoy. But there are some quiet places, especially at the gardens :)
