🗣️ Queensland Museum: Reviews
Love the Queensland museum! Lots of free exhibits but sadly the dinosaur exhibits are closed and being renovated for a bigger dinosaur show in March, 2023. Nonetheless my kids love this museum, especially the outdoor dinosaur play area. What I love was the gemstone areas because it has a room of gemstones and minerals in display. I think it would be better if there are more interactive display but it was nonetheless great for kids, considering it’s mostly free entry.
My 2yo and 4yo looooove the museum. We can't wait for the dinosaurs to come back! We came for the Magic of Disney Animation and were not disappointed! Kids got sketch pads and loved looking at all their favourite movies and how they came to life!
I love this museum! Access to levels 2, 3 and 4 was free and we could see a very large collection of insects and animals from Australia, million years old fossils and a live green python. I loved the fact that most animals and insects were real. There was also a stunning collection of minerals found all around Australia with some from private collections giving the public the opportunity to admire unique pieces.
Very well organised, great educational museum with lots of things to see and learn for kids. Highly recommended for kids to visit and see what they have!! Wonderful place to learn lots of different animals and species.
All the exhibits were informative. You'll really know how diverse Queensland is in terms of wild life resources. I haven't tried the paid exhibits.

Great Museum! It is an awesome experience. Several exhibits to chose from. The dinosaurs are also a favorite. We went during the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing celebration and exhibition. It was great to see the excitement.

So much to see and do very wonderful family activities and 4 levles all exhibits are free. Some visiting activities are at cost.
We came here for the Disney 100 years of Animation. Such good exhibit, a must see for everyone. my 35 year old son took me for a date to see it. Such a lovely trip down to memory lane recollecting where he was, how he felt, who he was with on every Disney movie l. We had a great time. Photos are a little dark on some, flash is not allowed. Booking is not necessary but to avoid delay it is a must esp on weekends. Paid parking is easy here there are 4 large carparks around but the most convenient is below this museum suitable for older people like myself.
I would definitely recommend a visit to the Queensland Museum. I had a look at all of the free exhibitions and there's something for everyone. The Anzac Day war exhibit was super informative and interesting with all of the artefacts from the era. The mineral had some great items too if that's your bag. And then the animal section was fantastic. Huge preserved sea creatures, skeletons, Australian wildlife, and live insects and a snake.
Awesome Museum! Great ammenities, modern, large. The natural exhibits are awesome. Great place for a monthly family outing! Multiple areas around to eat and to be entertained. Bonus is easy access with loads of close parking.
The kids LOVE the museum and there's always something new to see and enjoy! the highlight (naturally) being the dinosaur exhibit for our 5yo and 4yo we always have a good few hours walk abouts with a little picnic at the end in the dino playground on the bottom level. Would recommend to any family looking for an educational and affordable day out. ALSO $17 parking all day? why not!
What a great day at the museum. Heaps for little and big kids to see, even for the shorts retention span they may have. Free entry but for the Lego you need to book and pay. Dinosaurs and Australia wildlife were defiantly highlights for the kids. There was a great Torres Straight exhibition too. If in Brisbane make sure you give it a look.
We attended Queensland museum for the first time on Saturday 29/01/22 & specially booked for the Brickman Lego Wonders Of The World & very impressed with the overall displays. Booked online AUD $19.50 each. The Museum is defiantly worth visiting & give yourself a few hours to take in all the displays & read so much info.

This place is amazing and I rate this museum to be one of the best in Australia. Free to get in and wow you will be disappointed. Please do take your time when you visit this place and allow a good 3 hours of your itinerary.

Fantastic museum to take children or enjoy yourself. The animal and dinosaur visits were our sons favourite, though many other aspects were well loved. For a free viewing experience I would recommend attending at least one. The gift shop is a bit pricey, but that is to be expected I guess given the free entry etc.
Both myself and kids spent a great afternoon here. $59 for a 2A2C family ticket. Should have learnt about this exhibition earlier in June so I could get thr unlimited pass. Each Lego exhibit has some funny figures doing silly things. Great to discover all these. Don't forget to spend a few moments to watch the video about the Brickman and his team.
This place has many free exhibitions and café. Also there has beautiful river side views and so much to see walking outsides. Furthermore, next to the museum, library is so nice, we can be seating there and looking out side river view and reading books. Good place to go relax and spent time there.
