Experiencia fantástica: Finally, I got to visit the Rembrandt museum and experience first hand what his paintings and etchings looks like. A must go, if you're in the Netherlands.

Experiencia fantástica: This museum focuses on his studios, living quarters, and etchings. Fabulous way to experience life in early Amsterdam.

Experiencia fantástica: Such a beautiful museum...

Experiencia fantástica: I don't even know how to start this review. Located in the center of Amsterdam, this house (and now museum) is where between 1639 and 1658, the well-known Dutch painter Rembrandt van Rijn, who also had his studio and art dealership there, occupied the building. The museum is set up like the house. They were able to redecorate it similarly to how Rembrandt had it based on his own paintings, and drawings. It is spectacular!

Experiencia fantástica: This was a cool museum, in that it was his actual house and was furnished the way that it would have been when Rembrandt live there. There are not a lot of his paintings in the museum, but there are several of his original etchings and many reproductions. It was cool to see his work as well as a 16th century home. There are steep steps, and I did not see an elevator.

Experiencia fantástica: An amazing experience to see where this icon lived and created. I loved how it was restored to near-original condition. Takes about 1-2 hours to tour. You have to go up and down steep stairs, so not ideal for elderly or handicapped. Definitely stop in if you have the time!

Experiencia fantástica: Superb mansion. Very didactic and nicely setup. You would hardly be surprised to see a 17th century master come into the room to greet you. Well done!

Experiencia fantástica: Book in advance Similarly to the Anne Frank Huis, this museum is a combination of Rembrandt's original home and a mondern museum. The exhibition of Rembrandt's work and the special exhibition about PoC in European Art was very fascinating! 10/10 would come again

Experiencia fantástica: It's a house where Rembrandt live and worked some period of his life. Nice museum, gives you the idea of how it was at that time. Audio guide is included in the ticket, which is awesome. Having IAmsterdam card really simplifies the flow. Just quick scan - and that's it.

Experiencia fantástica: I had no idea Rembrandt led such an interesting life. The self-guided audio tour is great. You can do it independently without getting pushed along in a group. Also quite reasonably priced admission and close to good food.

Experiencia fantástica: You get an experience about the daily life in that era. Everything is explained and you have a lot of detailed infos.

Experiencia fantástica: It was nice view of Rembrandt life and consequences in his paintings and life. The automatized audio device was perfect, really great stuff and easy to handle. It is for about an hour to spend and get to know more about this famous Dutch painter and art business man.

Experiencia fantástica: Included on the top floor and nominally intended as "just" a live demonstration of Rembrandt's painting materials and their sources and the challenges associated with transforming those materials into the various oil colors brings this museum absolutely alive. The demonstrator was hugely interactive and repeatedly provided tremendous insights, well beyond the pure mechanics of the painting process, into Rembrandt's life from initial work through acclamation to later criticism and bankruptcy and final departure to modest quarters.

Experiencia fantástica: Great museum! You walk through Rembrandt's house listening the free audioguide and learning about how he was living and using his house. You also have the opportunity to the some artistic techniques in video. That was a really great visit, we loved it! Plan approximately 1,5 hour for the visit, it is quite small, it's a house after all.

Experiencia fantástica: Had a lovely hour long wander around the house. The staff are all excellent - the guided tour is a great way of getting lots of information across. Loved the paint making demonstration. The gift shop has lots of not very expensive gifts which is a great way of giving the museum some more money. Also, a big thank you to the staff for realising that I had left my purse. They had looked in CCTV to locate us and safely kept it until I returned to collect it. Well worth a visit.

Experiencia fantástica: Defenitely a must place to visit in Amsterdam, wether you love painting or not. This place located behind waterloplein flea market. The museum has lot of Rembrandt's collection and also the biografy of himself. Entering this house, will take you to the 16-17th era of renaissance. This museum also has the collection of Rembrandt which were not only painting, but some antique and "weird" stuff the he bought from different countries. He spent a lot of money to buy these kind of "weird" things! It's quite close from Amsterdam Centraal, you can just walk via The China town to Nieuwmarkt area. Or take the route from Double tree hotel, cross to Prins hendrikade . There are a lot of cafe nearby this museum to hang out, or just checking the antique shops

Experiencia fantástica: Nice architectural building and tools for hundreds of years ago, I highly recommended

Experiencia fantástica: Really neat experience. The ticket comes with a free audio tour device that's available in a bunch of different languages. The audio tour itself is really informative and is worth listening to. The house itself is really interesting and there is a fair bit of art displayed in the house. I wish there had been more Rembrandt work as a lot of it is contemporaries and students of his. There is a separate gallery that displays a rotating collection at the end of the tour.

Experiencia fantástica: Amsterdam, the financial and cultural capital of the Netherlands. The best way to experience Amsterdam is on a traditional canal cruise. These glass-topped boats offer unobstructed views of the splendor of Amsterdam. city tour glimpse share in attached pictures

Experiencia fantástica: I really enjoyed this museum! It is beautifully restored and you feel as if you walked into the back door of a friend’s home while they were at the market. You literally step back in time!! You see his etches on his desk in his studio! You see the light he painted by in the salon! It is incredible! The narrow, winding wooden stairwell is an architectural masterpiece in its own right. It was a joy to visit! There were an individual audio device available in many languages for your private viewing pleasure.

Experiencia positiva: Very nice museum, beautiful paintings and objects from Rembrant's life. I recommend setting aside at least 3 hours for a museum tour. I also recommend that you buy a ticket online, it's more convenient and you can be sure that you will really see the museum at that time. the staff was nice and helpful. You can buy a themed souvenir in the small shop.

Experiencia fantástica: Very interesting visit to Rembrandt's house. An audio guide (in different languages) takes you throw the different rooms decorated as if it was the XVII century. You will discover many histories about the master, his career as well as his prived life. It's worth to do a visit.

Experiencia fantástica: My man suggested we should go here, I was a bit skeptical due to that I’m not that interested in art and history. But it was a really cozy and interesting tour. It was definitely worth it!

Experiencia fantástica: It was a pleasant surprise how much I enjoyed Rembrandt House Museum. This is a self guided tour and was not crowded when we visited. We were able to see two live demonstrations: color mixing on stone and printing making with etchings. Both were really insightful. The house itself is amazing and you get to learn about the life and works of Rembrandt and his pupils in each room. I liked that it was self-paced and leisurely. We got to roam around in no particular order, unlike Anne Frank House. I would recommend the I Amsterdam City Pass as this was included in the available attractions.

Experiencia fantástica: Me and my mate loved it. Some interesting stuff there like he's private collection, where he slept etc. Very nicely set up tour every room you can listen about individual rooms what they used for. I would recommend it.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent insight into life of one of most famous painters as well as his apprentices. Don't expect a lot of paintings, but you'll see plenty interesting facts and get to admire original sketches which are rotated with modern prints. Audio guide is included in the ticket price so make sure to use it!
