Experiencia fantástica: Very nice experience. It reflects the customs, culture and idiosyncrasy in general that the Andalusians have. Incredible how there is so much cultural wealth in one place. It is quite central. It has drinking fountains with cold water and working toilets.

Experiencia fantástica: Muy lindo! October 28. They have a tribute to the Andaluz region. Sooooo wonderful! Also, I believe this museum is a must before jumping into any other sightseeing of the region. It explains the roots of the Andaluz customs and traditions. Plus, la Andalucia is the most friendly region in Spain and this exposition highlights it very well! Bravo!

Experiencia fantástica: Emblematic building full of charm. It is always a pleasure to visit this ethnographic museum, which has interesting collections to its credit, through which it is possible to learn more about the customs and way of life in Andalusia, and how they have evolved over the years.

Experiencia positiva: Not my usual type of museum and not one I’d rush to recommend. Perfect introduction to the daily life of Andalusian people in last three centuries and due to the bank holiday we got free entry, however I think if I’d have paid admission I’d have been disappointed.

Experiencia fantástica: Visit it! Even if you only see it from the outside, it will be worth the time you dedicate to it. The building itself is already an architectural marvel. Memory of the Universal Exhibition of Seville in 1929. It is right in front of the Archaeological Museum, from the same period. And nearby are the pavilions of Mexico, Colombia and Guatemala. Of course also the Plaza de España.

An impressive part about regional handicrafts with workshops of each handicraft - guitar, olive dam, alfar, tanner. Experiencia fantástica: This museum, especially the basement exhibition, is great if you're interested in a historical look at the local daily life. It's a bit dark down there, but everything important is lit well enough and labled in english as well. The film about porcelain manufacuturing was only in spanish, but you'll still get the gist of it if you don't understand everything what they're saying.

Experiencia fantástica: Good way to get a picture of one style of life, that happened in Andalusia once upon a time.

Experiencia fantástica: We had fun. We learned many customs, situations, objects that were used and that today are updated and with improvements. There were others that we continue to use or that I have at least seen in old houses in Seville. Also in the case of the exhibition of animals and how they cared for them, it is totally different from today, taking as an example that previously dogs had them to expose them and take them to their maximum physical potential ... Today being an animal domestic and in some houses as family. Other of the exhibitions that they mounted, was the one of culture and religions of each Country. With a great display of content and information from such sites. The exhibition of good material and didactic was full. I recommend it to go with the family, to enjoy with friends a quiet, inspiring place, and move to the not-so-distant past that both your grandparents and great-great-grandparents had as a habit lived day by day here in Seville, the most beautiful city of all.... Greetings

Experiencia fantástica: Slow down in the embroidery and lace exhibit while it lasts. Move in close and study the details as close as you can get. This exquisite art. Contemplate how many tight stitches there are, yet the underlying cloth is not stretched or distorted in the slightest. What finesse! Exactly the right tension repeated by hand tens of thousands of times. They closer you look and think, the more you will appreciate the skill.

Experiencia fantástica: It was a surprise to enter this museum to be honest, we left delighted with the visit, bounced in the good direction of the archeological site opposite. Located in the Plaza de las Américas, in the middle of an impressive landscape. The museum shows us how our ancestors lived, in a not too distant time in history and shows us their customs, how they cooked, the work of the time, children's toys, weapons, utensils, ornaments, clothing, etc.

Experiencia fantástica: The Museum of Popular Arts and Customs of Seville, is located in the Plaza de América in the María Luisa Park of that city, next to what is popularly called the "park of pigeons" having in front of the Provincial Archaeological Museum. It is centralized in the Mudéjar Pavilion, a Neo-Mudéjar-style historicist building built in 1914 on a project carried out in 1913 on the occasion of the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929, the work of the architect Aníbal González, also author of the other buildings erected in the same Plaza de América where this museum is located. It is built in exposed brick with ceramic applications full of motifs full of fantasy. During the Iberoamerican Exhibition it was known as the Pavilion of Ancient Art. This pavilion, before being used as a museum, has been chosen for other uses since its construction date. In principle it consisted of two plants on an aeration chamber to avoid humidity. In the 1960s, an improvement was made to the main floor, which was over twelve meters high, dividing with an artificial floor (corresponds to the first floor) according to a project by the architect Antonio Delgado y Roig. Some time later, in 1972, the floors are joined with a large spiral staircase designed by the also architect José Galnares Sagastizábal, work that was carried out after the construction was designated to house the museum, in the Museum Creation Decree of Popular Arts and Customs of Seville, dated March 23, 1972, constituted as a section of the Museum of Fine Arts. Its functions as a museum have been developed since March 4, 1973, the date on which it opened its doors to the public.
