Expérience fantastique: Beautiful, modern Art Gallery. Highly recommended! Small, but perfectly formed, surrounded by a landscaped garden - which are in themselves a piece of art!

Expérience fantastique: We visited the Gormley Expo which was insanely good. Sadly it was the last day of the expo but I cant recommend the artist enough. The venue is unique. It's a grand and quiet place, outside of De Haag. I can't wait to visit again and I probably will, because Rinus Van De Velde is next up!

Expérience fantastique: Great modern art museum close to The Hague. Perfect with children.

Expérience fantastique: Very lovely museum, but pity it is so small and does not accept museum card. As the museum is small, it is hard to attract people to visit without new exhibitions. I do need to say it is quiet busy even in normal weekday, mostly elderly, and I assume locals. The separate restaurant really is a golden goose for the museum because it feels like another business. The museum is simple designed but with care and in detail. Pity they could not give more information about the history of museum because it is very interesting. As I mention it is small but the pieces that they put in are very interesting, especially the highlights. The description of the pieces are put in a small booklet. It is sometimes a bit busy, especially due to small museum. Staff is very friendly and the facilities are very design done (like the restroom, especially the fire hose). The land of the museum is giant! Especially with the scavenger hunt of Antony Gormley in the dun and forest area and also the road from gate to the museum. For those who do not have visited the Antony Gormley exhibition, it is mind-blowing when you search online it does not feel much but Voorlinden did a crazy good job of course with Antony Gormley. I do need to say the restaurant is really a place just to get stuff if you really need to, and you will know you get ripped off! But the staff is lovely but do not know why service is slow even though they are doing their best.

Expérience fantastique: An amazing art museum, wonderfully curated. I got a feel good vibe, made me happy. Pictures don't to justice. This must be live enjoyed

Expérience fantastique: Great modern museum with a wide variety of art plus very good temporary exhibitions.

Expérience fantastique: Fantastic parc, fantastic collection, So far, one of the best museums I have seen in the Netherlands. It's totally worth the price and the drive there. This is the only negative point actually: you need a car to be there, no public transports can get you there and this is a bit sad when you don't drive. They could arrange minivans from The Hague station. just saying.

Expérience fantastique: A short walk through a beautiful and well maintained and designed park/nature area brings you to one of the best modern art museums of the region, if not the country. Mostly modern art, with some Instagram -worthy art pieces, as well as great exhibitions. Sculptures, paintings, movies: this museum has something to offer for any one. The juxtaposition of the almost clinical white, modern building in a green, lush environment makes the experience even better.

Expérience fantastique: The park surrounding the museum is free and deserves a visit. The museum's building is also deserving of a visit. The museum is also excellent with a fantastic permanent exhibition and temporary exhibition, however the cost is €17.50. No Museumcard applies.

Expérience fantastique: This incredible place is definitely worth a visit if you’re into modern art. Kind of reminded of me “Depot Boijmans” in Rotterdam. The swimming pool exhibition is crazy and the room with glow in the dark lighting. No need to pre purchase tickets. Taking public transport is easy, it’s only a 5-10 mins walk from the closest bus stop which takes you directly to The Hague central. Go in the morning. Spend the day on the relaxing on the grass after or at the cafe.

Expérience fantastique: The whole place and gardens are lovely, you just pay if you go inside the gallery. Nice destination for a bike ride on a clear day.

Expérience fantastique: A wonderful experience, excellent installations, artworks and architecture. The park and the views are amazing and peaceful. We had a really good time walking around, there's a lot to see for at least 1 hour or 2 hours depending on your speed of course. We will definitely come back to Voorlinden Museum to spend more time, discover more facts and just enjoy quality content

Expérience fantastique: Modern art: Boring? No, not this exhibition. A lot to look at. Starts traditional with paintings…hmmmm! But then it get more and more interesting. You are even allowed to go into several of the installations - exiting. I will recommeng this for all ages.

Expérience fantastique: Highly recommended! The garden, the building itself and the art both in and outside. Just stunning. Staff is friendly, only downside can be the long waiting lines for lunch. The permanent collection has some must sees! I would book a plain ticket just to visit this museum

Expérience fantastique: Fantastic museum. Such an impressive building (spacious and the lighting is so well done), beautiful green surroundings, art works get all the space they need. Loved the Anthony Gormley exhibition, it's quite an experience! Enough parkingplaces (free), good lockers (don't need a coin) and clean toilets. Two restaurants. Steep entry fee (no Museumkaart), drinks and sandwiches at safaritent not great for price, but nice to sit in the field watching the birds fly over.

Expérience fantastique: I walked to this amazing parc around the museum, you can find the statues a bit everywhere in the parc very interesting exhibition

Expérience fantastique: A thoroughly enjoyable experience. I won't lie and say I know much about modern art but that did not stop me enjoying the museum in full. There are some very interesting and thought provoking exhibitions in an architecturally stunning building.

Expérience fantastique: A very entertaining museum. I don't want to spoil it, you have to see yourself! I took a walk at the park after viewing the exhibition. The brownie was also a satisfaction.

Expérience fantastique: Excellent museum and well worth finding it in Wassenaar. Exhibits always changing so never gets boring

Expérience fantastique: I liked the museum! Some interesting artworks. Spend 75 minutes there. Less then Google mentioned as average (2-3 hours). Surroundings of the museum are also nice. You can take a stroll, or get lunch in the neighbouring restaurant. We walked to the beach afterwards (1.5 hour walk)

Expérience fantastique: Great Picasso - Giacometti exposition! There’s a fair amount of rooms you can explore and learn from. Highly recommend.

Hanna Rul 2 years ago

Expérience fantastique: Incredible experience, my favorite contemporary art museum so far! Very respectful attitude from staff and visitors towards the art. _ I was also lucky to attend a temporary exhibition of early works by Pablo Picasso and Giacometti!

Expérience fantastique: Impressive private collection (and exhibition facility), made accessible to lovers of contemporary (conceptual) art. High enter- and infotainment value, and therefor fit for children as well. Nice building, good (out-door) catering, beautiful garden, situated at the edge of the Zuid-Holland dune area of Wassenaar.

Expérience fantastique: Great Museum and cafe. The museum has a great array of pieces of multiple mediums by a compelling array of artists. The surrounding gardens are also quite nice to walk around.

Expérience fantastique: A must for contemporary art fans and Instagram enthusiasts! Definitely one of the best art museums in the country. Though it has its cons: If you travel by public transport then it’s quite a walk by foot, they don’t take Museumkaart, it gets quite crowded so you better come in early if you want to see the mirror room. It has so many nice and unique pieces that make the trip worth it.

Expérience positive: A thoroughly enjoyable experience. I won't lie and say I know much about modern art but that did not stop me enjoying the museum in full. There are some very interesting and thought provoking exhibitions in an architecturally stunning building. Staff are friendly and helpful and the grounds/gardens surrounding the museum are beautifully done and maintained with expert care. We cycled which was ideal as the weather was lovely, but it is a bit of trek from the nearest bus stop (20 walk), so perhaps it would be best to drive there if bringing kids or older folks!

Expérience fantastique: The quality of the art in this museum is very high. Despite the amount of tourists, it isn’t busy at all. Voorlinden is placed outside the city and the architecture is already impressive together with the area. I had a great experience at Voorlinden.

Expérience fantastique: This place is magnificent. The building sits peacefully surrounded by a beautiful forest, connected to nature. The inside to outside edge is none existing. The swim in the pool, was a whole new experience. Going deep down with out getting wet. Looking up at blurry faces looking down. The art is alive, creating such a fun atmosphere with laughter and sounds from the deep belly. There are some wise words from a little mouse, stop and listen, take those thoughts home and into action. The people sitting on the beach are larger than life, quite literally, so real but not alive. Walking into the labrinth through the curves is indeed a journey with in and with out, the corners come and go and than you find yourself. A room where the sky is the painting, now that's a thought. To stand surrounded by lights and water, one feels part of the universe. For everyone who has been traveling around the sun, I say pop in, you will be taken back to yourself, to the very beginning.

Expérience fantastique: Certainly one of my top 5 museums! The location is stunning, the garden alone is worth the visit! Building is beautiful, the arrangement of the exhibit is very clear and streamline. The collection itself is a terrific and engaging selection of artworks. Staff is very friendly and helpful too! An all-around great experience!

Expérience fantastique: Very nice modern art museum. The pieces are surprising many times - because of the originality, the craftsmanship on them, or the dimension. The environment around the museum is super calm and with quite some pieces of art to see while taking a stroll, that's also a very good thing to do with good weather!

Expérience fantastique: Think this is one of the best contemporary art museums in the Netherlands. A very solid and well balanced collection. Amazing building that was build to celebrate the art. In the middle of a park which is privately owned but publicly accessible, which is beautiful to have stroll through. (you even have view of the sea behind the dunes) great restaurant as well. Nothing short of amazing.

Expérience fantastique: I really enjoyed my visit here! It’s a fantastic museum with beautiful contemporary art collections. The collections are not too much that you feel like you have to rush through each one of them, but are not too few that you feel it’s not worth it to come. The route is designed nicely and the staff members are very helpful. The museum itself is very pleasantly designed too, the lines are finished beautifully and the layout of the collections is great.

Expérience fantastique: Absolutely love this museum. The art displayed is beautiful and interactive in a way. Refreshing and highly enjoyable. The grounds surrounding the museum are also lovely. Well organised too. I've just left the place, but the happiness it gave me will stay with me for a long time :)

Expérience fantastique: This museum is without doubt the best museum I have ever been to in my life. The way that the main building has been designed relative to the surroundings, the stunning gardens and the light inside the building was amazing. The quality of the installations and art was visually impressive and engaging. The staff were all really friendly and took the time to explain everything and engage meaningfully. I recommended this museum to as many people as I could and they all raved about the place. This is definitely one of the best places to go in the Netherlands.

Expérience fantastique: Fantastic museum! They have a permanent exhibition and 2 changing ones. At the time of writing I liked the permanent the best. They are big and interactive and very special! This isn't your classical "art on the wall" museum. The price was well worth it for me. Everything also looked clean and tidy. The museum is in a nice park which is also worth taking a walk through.

Expérience fantastique: Beautiful museum, great exhibits, lovely gardens. It's just a shame there is a simple way to get visitors who don't have a car or a bike. Still, worth it

Naomi Cheng 4 years ago

Expérience fantastique: Even if you’re not a fan of modern art, I would strongly recommend you check out this museum because it just might change your mind (the way it did for me!). Many of the exhibits are thought provoking, the layout of the space is excellent, and there are also informative booklets/paper guides to provide context to various works. I spent about 2 hours here and went through every room. Note the Museumkaart isn’t accepted here.

Expérience fantastique: The best and most unique museum I have ever visited. All artworks are perfectly combined into a great museum. You really experience the art. It's interesting for all ages. 5/5.

Erik K 5 years ago

Expérience fantastique: One of the best museums of modern art that I have visited! Just entering the building is impressive, the hallway is big and tall, and so are the rooms with the art. The art is of very high quality and need to be experienced to be fully appreciated. The museum shop is great and so are the toilets. The restaurant is ok. This is a must visit if you are in the Netherlands.

Expérience fantastique: We enjoyed a light lunch at the restaurant (beautiful interior - soup less impressive). The museum itself is a beautiful building. Some interesting exhibitions and some of the permanent pieces was truly impressive. The surrounding gardens are beautiful, all in all a nice outing for a rainy Saturday.

Expérience fantastique: Very beautiful place, impressive building in a nice park and the exhibition is really interesting! An experience for the family! Children love it! A bit expansive for grown-ups but it worth it.

Expérience fantastique: What a great modern architecture, unexpected matched next to the original voorlinden castle in the forest, outskirts of Wassenaar. Be sure to come with a car! Next to the building itself is the exhibition a delight for photography and/or modern art lovers. I added some pictures of the current exhibitions of course check the website to see the most recent ones. The building (built 2016) will however stay as beautiful as it is together with its surroundings, great combination to a visit is a forest walk.
