Expérience fantastique: MASP is an imposive minimalistic building of pured concrete which looks like floating on the side of Avenida Paulista. It's really a breathtaking sight. Right now hosts a interesting exhibition of sculptor Maria Martins which worth visiting. We enjoyed our stay too much and the price ticket is reasonable. For sure we will come back one day. Note: All descriptions are also in English which is something you don't see often in Brazil.

Expérience fantastique: Perfect place for art and culture lovers. The exhibition contains cultural artifacts and beautiful paintings. Some of the paintings are the creation of popular artists like Raphael, Pablo Picasso and Vincent van Gogh.

Expérience positive: The building is really starting to show its age, and getting in was a bit confusing. Luckily I found someone that worked there and was able to help me purchase my ticket. Tickets must be purchased before hand, as they do not sell at the door. Web site does not load in English and is a bit of a pain to navigate without help.

Expérience fantastique: Great collection and interesting presentation. I got a tour by Andrea on Airbnb and I felt like I understood much more than I would've. The building also has spectacular architecture. And the museum showcases a diversity of artists and techniques/methods.

Expérience fantastique: Incredible art exhibition, impressionism with Monet and Cezanne, post impressionism with Van Gogh, baroque with the great Rembrandt (though not the Night Watch). It was like walking a timeline of art from A good surprise from the most modern to realism and classical.

Expérience fantastique: Every Tuesday Free admission by appointment on the website, metro Trianon Masp. The exhibitions are constantly changing by artists, everything organized and air conditioned and great artists with great works. The place is beautiful, modern, very well planned in all aspects. It currently has world famous works on site. I went without knowing what I would find and I was definitely surprised. I will be back, without a doubt. Care in relation to the pandemic is still in place, fully and efficiently. I highly recommend it!

Expérience fantastique: One of the most beautiful collection nicely located in the city center of Sao Paulo, rich diversity of known painters of 19ies and 20ies century as: goya, Delacroix, frans hals, van Gogh, Renoir, manet, monet, Gaugin, matisse, magritte, and many others. The building is great architectural monument as well and the technique to hang the painting is original. The museum is a must for art lovers.

Expérience fantastique: MASP is such a cool place. Generations of Paulistas and paulistanos frequented this place at some point. Lots of places to sit bellow it's arches A nice view from Sao Paulo city center can be seen from the MASP "gap" Lots of homeless people and Hippies also hang around the museum/art gallerybut just be aware of this and be mindful of your belongings that you should be fine. Nice place to visit if you are around Paulista Avenue and you can also go to Rua Augusta, Park Trianon MASP, Sesc, Casa das Rosas,Japan House and conjunto Nacional are all walking distance from the Museum/art gallery. The Paulista Avenue have a bike line that is cool to bike at and also very good for skating/longboarding. Enjoyv the chaos!

Expérience fantastique: This is probably the coolest thing we've don in Sao Paulo. It was a tad expensive but it was so worth it. The area is cool and trendy and has lots of cafes and restaurants too. The museum is an icon of the area not just just because if its funky design but in what it represents. Freedom of expression and the ability to step outside the status quo. The following MASP has is electric and you can feel it throughout the community. It's a must see and do for anyone traveling to Sao Paulo.

Expérience fantastique: I went here with my girlfriend and it was a great experience to see some beautiful art from modern to renaissance. I was very pleased with the variety and quality of the art. It was a little bit of a wait to get in but definitely worth it, great environment and staff. Thanks for the experience and I hope you can continue to bring more art to the public.

Expérience fantastique: Super interesting museum full of displays in glass stands. The museum is a famous building an worth a few pictures in and of itself. We didn't go to the restaurant here but heard good things. I highly recommend spending your morning or evening here while wandering the city.

Expérience fantastique: Very open and nice, up close and personal. Free on Tuesdays.

Pamela Almeida 3 years ago

Expérience fantastique: One of the best Brazilian museums, you’ll have the chance to see some of the great local artists like Tarsila do Amaral and Cândido Portinari and also other modern names. They have pieces from Raphael, Botticelli and Rembrandt as well. Great space where you can focus on the paintings and then go around to see who is the artist. The place is highly crowded for tourists, if you want to avoid that go later in the day, 2 or 3 hours before they close, always works. Every Tuesday is free, so enjoy as much as you can. They are offering an audio guide for some of the art works, unfortunately only in Portuguese, but is also great. Enjoy the suplicy coffee if you have the chance.

Expérience fantastique: The permanent art here is so decadent and sophisticated and I loved the installations on feminism and woman empowerment. The way the movement and message is conveyed is like no other and I cannot sing its praises hugh enough

Monica Gomes 4 years ago

Expérience fantastique: One of my favourite Museum in earth so far. Masp is huge and has an underground theatre where I had few classes with one of the curators, during my studying years

Michael Kantor 4 years ago

Expérience fantastique: The exhibit we went to was beautiful. We got a feeling of struggle and chaos. We resonated with the art

Expérience fantastique: Fantastic museum. Great exhibits. European Masters and Brazilian painters together. Very neat way to show paintings- crystal easel. Had great temporary exhibit on afro American centric theme. Well done. Great restaurant in level -2. Dont be scared by homeless on ground floor or look of building. Definitely go!

Expérience fantastique: Absolutely amazing museum filled with a large variety of artwork collected from a diverse time range and artists. From modern pieces changing the definition of art to more classic pieces showcasing classical Brazilian techniques, this museum has a lot to offer visitors of any age or nationality. 4 levels and a very interesting open air design for the stairwells, the architecture is one of the most unique in the area. Low admission prices and friendly staff make for an absolutely impeccable experience.

Expérience fantastique: Definitely a 'must go' in SP. Great expositions, great collection. The building itself is already great! The great space under it (I mean, at ground level) is the spot for the most important political demonstrations.

Expérience fantastique: The Museum of Art in São Paulo is fantastic! The art on display on the top floor is amazing and so well set up. The ticket to get in cost approximately $10 usd which is worth it in my opinion. There is a nice cafe and shop located downstairs below the ticket booth. And there is a nice restaurant as well. Definitely worth visiting!

David Maddison 5 years ago

Expérience fantastique: The remarkable top level takes you on a journey through time with an introduction to a Greek marble, then over the course of the next couple of thousand years, you get to observe the peaks of artistic flair across the world. Notably, within the last century, how basic expression has come in more contemporary pieces. It’s a nice contrast to observe and encourages thought about the impact of world war, globalisation, religion and technology on the subject matter and skilful creation of pieces.

Galadriel Gonzalez 6 years ago

Expérience fantastique: The most stunningly avant garde curatorship I have seen. The building itself is incredible inside and out, and the way the art is displayed suspended in glass makes viewing the collection a unique experience unlike any other.
