Expérience fantastique: Very nice and free... It is our culture and you have to know it

Expérience fantastique: Clear and very significant artistic exhibition for our Argentine society. Understandable for those who, like me, do not know much about the history of our painters. Very well preserved place, the cost of admission is very affordable for what it represents. Very friendly staff.

Expérience fantastique: Very nice building with a lot of history, the Romero family is impressive, especially the collection of father and brother Barros and Rafael, teachers of Julio Romero.

Expérience fantastique: What a treat to visit the museum and see the exhibitions organized by each trend of interest, very good attention and impressive locale. Good flexible hours from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., except on Mondays and holidays, as well as on Sundays it closes at 3 p.m. The only thing that is needed is an elevator for the elderly who have difficulty climbing stairs, but everything else is very good

Expérience fantastique: Small but interesting collection of works of art housed in what was the old Hospital de la Caridad. In the Plaza del Potro, through the same entrance, you access a beautiful and well-kept patio where you find, to the left, the Museum of Fine Arts and to the right, the Julio Romero de Torres Museum. If I have not misunderstood the receptionist's explanation, the family of Julio Romero de Torres bought the building, which they converted into their home. At the Museum of Fine Arts... I loved the Aurelia Navarro exhibition! What I have read about the life of this woman, her paintings, the looks on those feminine faces, her transgression... she was ahead of her time! A great artist of the Cordovan bourgeoisie rescued from oblivion. Great!

Expérience positive: A small museum showcasing local works. Worth a visit if you love art. €1.50 entry or free for European citizens. Be careful to go to the right museum. The person at the ticket desk, or rather near the ticket desk chatting to someone, told me to go inside to the right and insisted even when I asked again. That turned out to be the entrance to the Julio Romero de Torres museum which costs €4 payable only by card. It might be fine, but it wasn’t what I came to see. I went back to the first ticket booth and ended up getting an entry ticket to the museum of Fine Art which is what I came to see. It shouldn’t be that hard to enter a public museum. Some of the reviews here and the photos are actually about the Romero de Torres museum so I don’t think I’m the only one who has been directed to the wrong entry

Expérience fantastique: Highly recommended. Negative that they do not allow any photo even without flash. In the last remodeling they have removed all the personal objects of the painter that were exhibited. I have missed them. The bathrooms lacked the basics, and it has been seen for a long time. Even with those negative notes, I will return

Expérience fantastique: It's a rare museum experience when all elements fall into place so perfectly. El Museo de Bellas Artes of Cordoba (Fine Arts Museum) brings together location, beautiful surroundings, great exhibition space, history and a fine collection. Don't just visit for what is exhibited. Make sure to also focus on how and where it's exhibited. The museum is free for EU citizens and costs a Euro and a half for others. Yes, it's a small space, but it's well worth the visit.

Expérience fantastique: Museum where only payment is by card. They do not allow taking photos. Museum with great paintings by Julio Romero de Torres An aside: better monitor what people take photos... and put it in different languages and if they take photos without flash

Expérience fantastique: Located in a Renaissance palace, it houses interesting and quality works, you can enjoy a Typical Cordobes patio that joins it to the Julio Romero De Torres museum located in front of the Fine Arts. The charming staff and well prepared in the attention.

Expérience fantastique: Free admission, exhibition of paintings, especially religious themes. In the sculpture room, Seneca's has an impressive dramatic force, he is literally telling you his suffering, those eyes follow you everywhere. Just to see it is already worth the visit, I was impressed and delighted with the visit.

Expérience fantastique: Two museums sharing a patio and can be confusing as you have to pay two entrance fees. Both museums are very nice a no photo policy is unnecessary they need to step into the new century

Expérience fantastique: A unique and unmissable opportunity to get to know the work of one of the painters who has best reflected the Andalusian environment and its women. In addition, the museum is located in the Plaza del Potro, a secluded place, but at the same time full of beauty and charm.

Expérience fantastique: Very well organized, not to be missed, you are imbued with the magic of how the painter saw women, the traditions of the time, the cante jondo ... And the patio of the house and the studio pure inspiration.

Expérience fantastique: Sharing location with the Julio Romero de Torres Museum in the Plaza del Potro, is the Museum of Fine Arts of Córdoba that presents an interesting sample of Cordovan art from the 14th century to the contemporary period. It is certainly not very big, but occupying what was the old Hospital de la Caridad, it can be toured in a short time, even one of the rooms is housed in what was formerly the hospital chapel. Of course there is no shortage of works by Julio Romero de Torres.

Expérience fantastique: Small museum, but well appointed. Their contemporary art selection is surprisingly good. Considering that the entrance is free for EU citizens, I highly recommend going there even if for only a small time. The building itself is worth a gander, with nicely decorated ceilings.

Expérience fantastique: It is a small but precious museum. These museums make good cities. A city's dignity can never be enhanced without art. Since Cordoba's city value seems to be limited, it is desirable for the city government to actively support such museums to increase their value.

Expérience fantastique: Small museum but totally worth it. It is an essential visit to understand the contemporary paintings by the local master Julio Romero de Torres. Unfortunately no photos allowed.

Ben Jerue 6 years ago

Expérience fantastique: A small but fantastic museum focusing on the work of a little known but talented painter. The painting mix somewhat subtle eroticism, Catholic faith, and a live for Cordoba, it's art, and culture. The museum can be visited quickly, but really does deserve one's time!
