Expérience fantastique: Having lived in and around the Leeds area most of my life, I have never been to this museum before. I had an hour to kill, with my short attention span 8 year old son, so I decided to visit. What a pleasant surprise, the museum is both interesting, informative and fun. It kept myself and my son entertained for an hour, which is a feat in itself, considering how quickly my son gets bored of things. Its also free, they do suggest a donation on the way out, which I gave as I thought it was entirely earned. Highly recommended a visit

Expérience positive: A decent little museum in the centre of Leeds. There is a good display on the history of Leeds and a range of smaller collections that will be of interest to people with different interests.

Expérience fantastique: I love this place! So much to see and learn about it great city and all for free. (donation is suggested near the museum shop). Shame that some of the exhibits were broken, but for 'free', I'm not complaining. My granddaughter loved it too, at 2 years old. It is an excellent place to take young, and older kids to. And adults will find it fascinating too. It has a good shop on site too. I was sad that the cafe isn't open at the moment. When I've been before, it was child friendly and great value too. I hope that the council reopens the cafe

Expérience fantastique: Loved everything about this place. We had a good 2 hours in the museum, it is absolutely smashing the kids love it, it's free entry but you can make a small donation if you would like to (it all helps go towards the museum) everything the museum had for you to see is absolutely amazing.

Expérience fantastique: This was a highly pleasant museum to visit, where I was greeted by friendly staff at the entrance who let me through at the same time they were talking with other visitors. I found it really interesting to see the replicas of so many animals on display, alongside reading the information displayed about them. Other models like the spacecraft and teeth were a welcome addition, while the replica that stood out the most was the colossal one near the start of the museum.

Expérience fantastique: We attended an event during insect week and my 4 year old LOVED it. It was so well planned and well organised. The gent running the event was fabulous and wonderful with the children. We each learned new things and my daughter really enjoyed the activity. The museum itself is really clean and well organised too, it feels entirely Covid secure. The exhibits are all available excluding the obvious ones that can't be open right now such as the kids corner or some if the tactile things have had to be removed. We had a lovely time being back in the museum and are grateful to all the staff that made it possible.

Expérience fantastique: Leeds City Museum, originally established in 1819, reopened in 2008 in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It is housed in the former Mechanics' Institute built by Cuthbert Brodrick, in Cookridge Street (now Millennium Square). It is one of nine sites in the Leeds Museums & Galleries group. Wonderful and unique excibits, especially the real 3.000 y. old mummy. Very friendly and informative staff and amazing space for children to explore with lots of things to do, touch and explore for little hards. Lot's of hand sanitizer available through out the museum and also very cute gift shop that will not disappoint. Definitely recommend Caffe please to eat or drink on the ground floor with again very nice and polite staff and with 50% off everything on the menu between 20-31 May. Don't miss this opportunity. I would definitely recommend this museum to families and not only as it will put you in nice mood and will enrich your knowledge.

Expérience fantastique: It's a free entry to the museum. Leeds City Museum is conveniently located in the centre of Leeds City and is about 10 minutes walk away from the train station. The museum has a wide range of information available together with interactive way of learning. The collection ranges from fossils to arts and culture to technology to history. These are divided into three floors and are well presented. There is a gift shop which has a wide collection of gift items you can purchase as a souvenir from this place.

Expérience fantastique: Good place to spend 1-2 hours between their 3 main exhibitions. Decent collection of items from the classical Greece/Rome/Egypt in the 3rd floor along with a detailed exhibition of the history of the city in the 2nd Not as big as for instance Liverpool museum but still worth the time Entry is free and they have a cheap and tasty Café in the ground floor

Expérience fantastique: A fun, free, enjoyable museum spread out over four floors. Lots of exhibits and interactive displays. I particularly liked the Life on Earth in the lower ground floor and the Leeds story on the second floor. There's quite a big gift shop on the ground floor too.

Expérience fantastique: A great place to visit it has a great collection of things and activities for the kids it's just the right size as well not too big so the kids don't lose interest and it's free even if you had to pay a small entrance fee ie £5 it would still be worth it and when my grandson who's nine keeps asking to go back you know you have found a gem
