Expérience fantastique: A quiet gem we stumbled upon while in Corpus. They have some interesting pieces in an interesting building at the end of a nice city park off of the shore. What's not to like?

Expérience fantastique: Such a glorious place. Wonderful works displayed along with very kind people. Entry is free until the end of 2022 thanks to HEB

Expérience fantastique: Such a cool place, and free until the end of the year! This was the 3rd time I've been since they started doing the free visits. You have to see the movie portion of the impressive

Expérience fantastique: I loved the viewpoint of a museum on the water with a large collection of contemporary and international figures and painting. You need to take a day to just relax and unwind.

Expérience positive: I had higher expectations as far as number of exhibits, but it was free admission and there was some nice things on display.

Expérience fantastique: Directly on Corpus Christi Bay, you may not expect to find such a large Art museum, so that's a nice treat. There is a free "First Fridays" admission special, and for the remainder of 2022, HEB is sponsoring free admission every day, so come and experience a little culture. There is work from local and regional artists, and exhibits which I assume may rotate from international interests. Wide open spaces allow you to enjoy the art from near or far. This area of downtown is full of interesting things to see and do for adults and kids alike. The views of the Bay and the USS Lexington are fantastic. There are large green spaces with statues and water features.

Expérience fantastique: Whether you live in Corpus or just visiting the Art Museum of South Texas should be on your must-see list! One-of-a-kind architecture seated directly on the bay makes for stunning views both indoors and outdoors. They have a permanent collection with over 2000 works from hundreds of artists so the exhibits are constantly changing, as well as several traveling exhibits each year. Something new to see, you never know. The staff, volunteers, and Cafe workers are kind and welcoming. Yup, I said Cafe! Elizabeth’s at AMST is a delicious Mediterranean inspired space complete with unique dishes, in house baked bread, and craft cocktails. Don’t miss out on the finest place to view fine art in South Texas.

Expérience fantastique: Or visit as very nice. My Grandson was very interested once we got him in the door..17 year old boys art is usually not their first choice of an activity. Once he started looking around he had to see everything. Wonderful staff.

Expérience fantastique: Solid art museum in a nice facility. I enjoyed the cafe and its view of the harbor, too. It is a fully-fledged restaurant, and far better than many of the typical museum cafes you find elsewhere. This facility is an all-around good place to visit when in Corpus.

Expérience fantastique: I went on Saturday, February 28, 2021 and found that admission was only $1/person. It took almost 90 minutes to walk through and see all of the art on display, stopping to read about pieces that caught my eye. There were quite a few exhibits of local students’ work on display which I appreciated even more than the “professional” artists’ work. Many of these children are quite talented. All in all a really positive experience. I would have gladly paid full price (whatever full price is - I imagine it’s not $1) to walk through.

Expérience fantastique: We visit a lot of art galleries, but museums - not as many. This was a great experience for the kids and myself. They had beautiful pieces and a open clean environment. One thing I’d like to see more of is local artist collections, at least a small area for it. There was so much of one particular artist, if you weren’t in awe of his work then it left something to be desired. Still lots to see! Worth the visit and great staff! Price of admission is low so if you want to show the kid’s some culture or just want to view some beautiful art - this is a great place for it.

Expérience fantastique: I love the art museum! They have some beautiful permanent pieces but a lot of the museum is changed out often so you will always see something new. You can also walk up to the roof where they have some statues and you can take Beautiful pictures of the city. The building itself is like a piece of art it is so pretty.

Expérience fantastique: Beautiful exhibit "ACROSS THE ATLANTIC" American Impressionism through the French Lense. Wonderful way to spend the last day of 2020.

Expérience fantastique: I love this museum! One of my favorite in the state. It’s such a cool building and location. And I love the selection of art. Really enjoyed the current exhibitions. I didn’t expect to love “Luster” as much as I did, as I’m not much of a Motorhead, but gah the hyperrealism is astounding. Also the William Wilhelmi collection! So fun and massive and just NEAT. The folks at the front were super nice too. Such a great place!

Expérience fantastique: It's smaller than I expected but the pieces there are powerful, witty, and thought provoking. I enjoyed it so much, and the staff was so polite and informative. I had such a great experience, I recommend everyone going at least once.

Expérience fantastique: Had a great time with the family. There are several different areas to pass through and honestly, the first area you enter into wasn't quite my style. But the things picked up as we moved to the other areas and my 3 year old was even captivated by some of the art. Reasonably priced. Interesting works. Indoor and outdoor stuff that inspires. I would suggest it for a lazy but memorable day.

Expérience fantastique: Architecturally speaking, this museum is a work of art itself. It is an absolutely majestic facility with tons of visual interest, not to mention the beautiful location overlooking the water. I'm certain any artist would feel honored to have their art exhibited in this facility. When we visited there was a large exhibition by William Wilhelmi. It was an impressive exhibition of his body of work that spread throughout the gallery, however there was still room for other pieces which I imagine were part of the museum's permanent collection. I would highly recommend this museum to anyone who enjoys art museums, or even just beautiful architecture. It's $8 each for an adult for free for members of the museum.

Expérience fantastique: Honestly this museum is almost better than the houston art museum. There's a great spot outdoors to look out on the water and a lot of variety within the actual art.

Expérience fantastique: When me and my partner visit new cities we like to check out the local art, this place did not disappoint we even got a discount with Groupon the bay views are perfect the art was perfect just wish they had a bigger selection of modern abstract art.

Expérience fantastique: The kids always have an awesome time when we come to the Museum. To help with the cost they have dollar days that help share the experience with everyone. Thank you guys for keeping the Museum so awesome!

Expérience fantastique: Cool little museum. Just a little bumbed that the water feature out front was not on. I believe admission was $8 per person.

Alex Adame 4 years ago

Expérience fantastique: Really contemporary, well designed museum. Filled with lots of 3D media compared to most museums I've seen. We found a great deal for admission of 2 on Groupon if you're a group of 2 or 4. Highly recommend seeing the Lawrence print in the main lobby. We also went on a Sunday afternoon and there was hardly anyone there - kinda nice for looking at art in my opinion.

Expérience fantastique: Loved my visit to the museum! The diversity of exhibits, combined with lovely views out on the deck, made for a most memorable time! Whenever I am in Corpus Christi, I will make it a point to stop by this top-notch museum to pour over their latest exhibits!

Expérience fantastique: Went with my boyfriend on a quick trip to Corpus. We actually had come for the coffee at Hester's (A+ on our drinks!), but we were drawn to the exhibits you see before the cafè. Architecturally it's a stunning place, the service is kind, fast, and you can't beat that coffee shops' oceanside view.

Expérience fantastique: Great location, besides admiring art collections at the museum, the views to the surrounding attractions just as impressive.
