Expérience fantastique: It has not been a very long visit, we have gone to an event where they presented two thematic essays and it was very well organized. The theme had to do with an exhibition that can be seen in the museum about the birth of hip hop in Spain and its protagonists. Very informative and very complete. The museum staff, very attentive

Expérience fantastique: FREE FOR OVER 65. A museum with unique objects from many parts of the world 2. Excellent that they use spaces to attract the youngest... They were freaking out with the graffiti expo... How about one of the tattoo? Tattoos have ancient history

Expérience fantastique: I didn't know about it until I found the free exhibition on the history of graffiti and hip-hop culture in Spain. Taking advantage of the visit, we visited the rest of the museum, which did cost €3, but if you have a youth pass it is free.

Expérience fantastique: Cool museum. Would've loved to have learnt about local anthropology rather than just African, Asian and American.

Expérience fantastique: Small but very charming museum It may seem small, but it is a museum in which you can spend days. What happens is that you have to find out something, because if you don't, you don't understand the value of the pieces and the cultural importance they have. I recommend booking with the mediation service. We had a woman named Alicia who explained the entire museum in an entertaining and fun way.

Expérience fantastique: Although it is small, it has temporary exhibitions that can be interesting. It takes an hour to visit if you go easy. Free for students and young people always.

Expérience fantastique: A must see for all who come to this beautiful country. It is a journey through the different relationships of human beings with their peers and between other cultures, and incidentally the chronicle of Spain when it came into contact with them through its history. Everything in excellent condition and in a logical order, which will give you enough content for a couple of hours at most. Highly recommended.

Expérience fantastique: The museum that deals with our adventures as human beings. Although it is not very, very large, they have three floors, dedicated to different cultures and their manifestations. They offer workshops for children and adults, conferences, also free guided visits to temporary exhibitions. Sometimes they exhibit the works of their workers, such as the MOMA, and you can also have an artist as a guide. Of course, it is better to see it commented to learn more about the richness of its contents. Recommendable.

Expérience fantastique: Doctor Velasco studied fossils and human life on different continents. He started collecting many pieces and built this building in 1875 already 150 years ago. What are we going to find ?. Utensils of daily life, weapons, clothing, religious Fossil remains. For example, the body of the Badajoz giant, which was 1.35 tall. Dr. Velasco offered her 2.25 pesetas a day, in exchange for donating her body. He died young at the age of 26. Manila's contribution of its customs was a good legacy. Then you go up to the Africa room, culture of many tribes, and different points. The origin of the Orisha, very curious. Today's exhibition is by Joaquín Sanz, his works full of the colors of illumination, or of the sweet silence, will transfer you to your own ego. I know it's going to transport you. This museum is a part under renovation. Although now you see a curious part, its data.

Expérience fantastique: The collection is good, well organized and with a modern outlook. The pieces are diverse and interesting for the most part, although it is not too extensive. The museification is a bit poor and something could be improved, although it is not bad. The treatment of the staff is correct, friendly and cordial

Expérience fantastique: My goal is to visit all the museums in Madrid I visited this museum I was very pleasantly surprised The relatively small it has presented artefacts very well Using both Spanish and English language for all things exhibited I very much enjoyed learning about the cultures connected with the Spanish empire of the past In particular I love the way photography of the present-day was used with the artefacts of the past

Susana Ruiz 3 years ago

Expérience fantastique: When I went it was a free day, the staff was very friendly. Inside the museum there are several floors, on the ground floor they tell you the history of the museum and there are things that are very curious. You can see the history of the human being in different countries, I found it very interesting. Then they also have a temporary exhibition.

Expérience fantastique: One of the only 3 good places of that city... other that those you will find pretty impolite people

Expérience fantastique: It was very entertaining! We learned a lot about the indigenous tribes and how they lived, and various religions they had! We spent 2 hours more or less here, and we completed the whole museum, so very recommended if you just want to spend an afternoon learning. Also, look for the prices, because if you are a minor, or a student, etc, you don't pay!

Expérience fantastique: Very thoughtfully curated. The special exhibit is definitely worth checking out. The location across from Atocha train station makes it a perfect place to kill time if you're waiting for a train or have arrived in Madrid too early to check in to your hotel

Expérience fantastique: Really impressive exhibition on the Himalayas, polite staff add to a relaxing atmosphere. Regardless of your interest on the stuff around you will find something interesting in every corner. A hidden jewel in the heart of Madrid, made for the smart tourist or local.
