Expérience fantastique: Like a special junk shop where you can only look. Amazing random yet organized collection or rare products. Must see!

Expérience fantastique: I love this museum - small but excellent !

Expérience positive: Not my kind of museum. You can find a couple of interesting artefacts, but most objects look like a collection of a crazy old lonely person. Have a strong feeling of datcha, where you keep all the things you'll never ever use, they are of no historical, artistic or design value, they are not up to date anymore, but you are too scrooge to throw them away. Luckily I visited this place on Museum Sunday and it didn't cost me a penny

Expérience fantastique: I was pleasantly surprised at how many interesting things are on display! Definitely worth a visit. There are many everyday objects on display, such as crockery, some furniture, souvenirs, toys, tools, etc. from the past century, so you can get a better idea of how everyday life was then in detail. A clear recommendation from me!

Expérience fantastique: Very nice little museum that could almost be seen as a continuation of the Bröhan Museum in that it explores the development of the same kind of everyday objects from the beginning of industrial manufacturing. The information provided was really interesting, and it's of course fun to look at all the random objects in the collection. Entry price is totally reasonable and it makes for an enjoyable place to pop into on a rainy or cold afternoon.

Expérience fantastique: Small but very interesting - one of my favourite museums in Berlin so far because it's about regular everyday things and how they are produced, perceived and organized

Expérience fantastique: Very interesting tour through german design history. If you are not interested in the history there are a lot of random fun little things on display.

Expérience fantastique: A unique museum! For design fans, you cannot miss the opportunity to visit it. Admission is € 6, for students € 4. They have lockers to store backpacks or bags and coat racks for jackets, free of charge. There is accessibility for wheelchairs from the elevator or if you have the strength, enjoy the stylish stairs. It's only two floors. When I say that it is unique, I emphasize it. There is no other similarity, its arrangement and organization is based on type of materials and times. All arranged in showcases and informed by numbering with their respective explanation. It is a journey through time and moments with objects that you thought were forgotten. At the end of this tour, there is an exhibition of Bauhaus works wanted to never be left over.

Expérience fantastique: Small, fine museum of contemporary German history. With many "things" I feel like I have been transported back to my own childhood and can highly recommend the museum!

Expérience fantastique: For those who like small museums, this is just for you, the museum of objects in Berlin, interesting, evokes nostalgia for the life of the past and the objects that we also have in our homes today. warmly recommended.

Expérience fantastique: A surprising museum for the collection it brings together, offering a good overview of Germany's history told through the history of the objects. Spend a long time looking at the windows. Read the texts and relate to what you know about art, economics, politics. People's lives revolve around small things, wars are also aesthetic wars and taste is not exempt from a position, from a point of view, from taking sides with something. This museum makes us realize that.

Expérience fantastique: Interesting, all kinds of things!

Expérience positive: What an unexpectedly diverse collection of stuff! We spent there quite a bit of time with my friend, not just looking at the things and being amused, but also trying to figure out what some of them were! ???? i took a lot of photos to do some research later. I wish there was a guide to tell fun stories of the things, but in any case, it was worth a visit! The area has some amazing Turkish pastry shops and restaurants/bistros.

Expérience fantastique: Industrial design shapes a lot more than you think - that was the recognition of the visit to the Museum of Things. An exciting collection, many "that-still-know-of-... stories, a gem in the middle of SO 36, which you should visit Attention: High nostalgia factor!

Expérience fantastique: Quirky collection of "things".

Felix Hahn 4 years ago

Expérience fantastique: An extraordinary museum! Very interesting "things"! :-) We were missing from time to time descriptions of things. Unfortunately, the ladies at the box office were not very friendly. Despite this, the museum is worth a visit!

Expérience fantastique: Things are organized by its use, material and color. It was helpful to study design and origin of things.

Isabelle Boudreau 4 years ago

Expérience fantastique: Very fun, a looooot if things, but not super long to visit :)

Raphael Günther 4 years ago

Expérience fantastique: Definitely worth a visit, as there is a lot to see and a very nice collection of things from past and present shows. But it takes a lot of time to look at everything, we were there on the long night of the museums, but a visit is well worth it. Everyone will find something special there that they have never seen before. We are happy to come back with more time.

Expérience fantastique: Very interesting and decidedly quirky museum, it's definitely not for everyone but if you're interested in design or oddities and the history of things this is one for you

Expérience fantastique: Incredibly interesting. Super great things discovered from my childhood. GDR

Expérience fantastique: A museum not to be missed! Seriously, you might easily miss it, you have to enter the courtyard a bit and go up to the 3rd floor. A small design museum of original mass production objects, whose official thread is the philosophical approach of a group of 20th century German designers, but whose real ethic is "to understand what is beautiful and good, first you have to find what is ugly and kitsch. "

Kevalin Saksiamkul 5 years ago

Expérience fantastique: A small museum collects tons of memories. Very nice for those who interested in German design and industrial design history. Highly recommend if you have about an hour to stop by.

Expérience fantastique: The Museum der Dinge has been collecting everyday objects since the 1970s and now it holds over 35,000 unique items in it’s vintage museum. The space is arranged around an “open storage” model that is continually updated and reconsidered. The objects on display are endlessly eclectic, but all share a sharp and austere quality of design. There are scientific instruments, Nazi propaganda pins, and children’s toys. Some of the objects are organized by color, some by theme. Most museums strive to preserve the more distant past, but the Museum der Dinge is focused almost exclusively on the 20th and 21st century, and the mass-produced, product-based culture that so often defines it. Starring at the shelves may compel visitors to ask themselves: why do people like objects? The Museum der Dinge is a perfect study site for design students, an inspiration for creative people and a delight to the eyes of object lovers!

Expérience fantastique: Very nice museum. Back to the past.

Expérience fantastique: Lots of stuff, heaven for a hoarder (or, you know, anyone who likes old things). In all seriousness (though the museum definitely has a sense of humour) the exhibit was well put together too, and pretty interesting.

Expérience fantastique: Very nice museum with a surprisingly large exhibition about the work and goals of the Werkbund. And that for a fairly moderate entrance fee. In any case, you should read the brief explanations on the showcases (there are in German and English) before you look at the content. Then the exhibition here is very informative. A special highlight for me was the original Frankfurt kitchen! The only "negative" I can say is that the museum is tucked away in a not-so-trustworthy corner of Kreuzberg where you would hardly suspect it and only notice it if you look for it. A definite recommendation for anyone interested in art, design or modern (cultural) history!

Expérience fantastique: Not just a Werkbund archive but a physical history of Germany through the century.

Expérience fantastique: A nice collection of little things, objects with symbolic value that remind us of a recent era. Fascinating collection of everyday items. Carefully curated objects of notable design, worth a visit for a few hours.

Expérience fantastique: Really cool, hidden gem of a museum. If you have even a passing interest in design and the way it shapes everyday life, this place is worth checking out. Well curated, well designed, and very nice staff.

Expérience fantastique: Amazing collection of objects, a must see for design lovers

Alastair Tse 7 years ago

Expérience fantastique: Learn about the werkbund and the struggle to make companies and manufacturers design products and not add "kitsche".
