Expérience fantastique: A very valuable museum that displays many relics of civilizations, for example, the Ishtar Gate, which was in Iraq, Mesopotamia, which is considered one of the oldest civilizations that emerged, such as the famous Hammurabi obelisk, which established the first laws of mankind and the Sumerian civilization, in which the Bismarian writing was discovered, which was the first in ancient time.. and civilization Gilgamesh and Arcade, the ruins of Babylon, and the hanging gardens that cross from the seven wonders of the world

Expérience fantastique: It would be enough to have only the Babylonian city wall and the parchment altar here, but not only that!

Expérience fantastique: The Near Eastern Museum is accessible (like all museums on Museum Island except for the Bodo Museum) via the James Simon Gallery by star architect Chipperfield (opened in 2019). It is located in the museum complex of the Pergamon Museum and owes many of its treasures to James Simon, who was advised by Bode. With its great treasures - mostly before the birth of Christ - the museum shows what people created great things with the means of that time - worth seeing and experiencing! The heart beats faster with joy, the lyrics make connections understandable.

Expérience fantastique: A collection of amazing and mesmerizing historical works. Along with the Louvre in Paris and the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, I found the museum to be complementary to other museums. I recommend everyone to visit these historic museums in Berlin

Expérience fantastique: Excellent, marvelous, enchanting, these are the treasures of the Orient, whereupon all humanity is proud .... rescued by the destruction and annihilation of people and history, what Isis, Iran and Kriminal Assad do in the Near East ...

Expérience fantastique: Got here late in the evening so didn't get to see much, beat myself up so bad for this and found myself unconscious in the dark ally way after. A bit like the British museum in London if that is a relevant reference point for you. As with London I would prefer to be looking at these mind boggling artifacts in their original locations.

Expérience fantastique: One of the unique expositions in the Pergamon Museum is the Ishtar Gate, which is the main exposition object of the Pergamon Museum of Western Asia, which presents more than two hundred exhibits from Syria, Mesopotamia, Anatolia. The most famous of them is the Ishtar Gate - a huge arch, bounded by no less large-scale walls, overlooking the Processional Road. The procession road is also in the museum, but not all of it. The Ishtar Gate is dedicated to the goddess of the same name and was built in 575 BC. e. by order of King Nebuchadnezzar II in the northern part of Babylon. The gate is made of brick covered with blue, white, yellow and black glaze. The brightness of the colors here is no less striking than the size of the building itself. The gates are well preserved, despite their age, unlike similar structures that have survived to this day in ruins. Today it is one of the most famous architectural monuments of the Babylonian kingdom. Works of art and household items of Assyrian culture are also exhibited here. The oldest of them are over 6,000 years old! Of particular interest are the Assyrian reliefs. It should be noted that this part of the museum was especially interesting for me, since Assyrian blood also flows in my veins. So I was lucky for the first time to get in touch with a piece of a disappeared state that left a deep mark on world civilization. It was as if something stirred inside and I greedily swallowed the surrounding museum atmosphere. Stories popped up in my head that my grandmother Shura told me - in girlhood - Shmuni Dzhvamirovna Sado. It is difficult to describe my inner state in words. But, this is what I am ready to experience again and again. Assyrian sculpture has a pronounced individual character, the style of the reliefs cannot be confused with anything. All objects of worship had a distinct ritual symbolism. They represented the gods or the process of worship, but, most importantly, people believed in the effectiveness of such images, that the image could replace the prayer of a living person. The Asiatic collection of the Pergamon Museum is represented not only by exhibits reflecting the culture of the Babylonians and Assyrians. Here you can discover the disappeared mysterious civilizations of the Sumerians and Hittites. Numerous sculptures and bas-reliefs, decorations, religious objects amaze with their technique and deep meaning embedded in them. Before you open a whole layer of human history, rooted in antiquity.

Expérience positive: Great museum, but the exhibition was not that good. The exhibit are marvellous and deserves to be highlighted in the right way. The audio tutorial of the museum was great. It was in many languages, so understanding the exhibits is not a problem. All in all a great museum that holds a part of the human heritage from the east.

Expérience positive: In my opinion art is amazing but museum could really work on better exposition. Quite disappointed for lighting and little English information, and over all display.
