Expérience fantastique: The exhibitions are incredible, they have wonderful pieces of indigenous art. As well as an exhibition of books and a more contemporary exhibition that makes us reflect on migration and the impact of urban tribes on the traditions of indigenous peoples.

Expérience fantastique: Interesting but never anywhere to park

Expérience fantastique: A very underrated museum. There is currently a very good exhibition of contemporary crafts from all over the Mexican Republic that is very worth knowing. There is also another photographic exhibition of indigenous people in urban areas that is very good. It is very easy to access by taking the METROBUS that runs along Paseo de la Reforma TRES CULTURAS station.

Expérience fantastique: In August two new exhibitions are inaugurated but for now there are two rooms, they are small but it is more than enough to get closer to indigenous cultures, there are clothing, music, instruments, clay items, among others, as well as infographics and screens. The building is very nice and well preserved. There are guided tours and admission is free. It's worth a visit if you live nearby.

Expérience fantastique: A very well-kept, guarded and colorful place.

Rojas Sánchez Diego 1 year ago

Expérience fantastique: Although it only has two exhibition halls at the moment, it is a place with important information about the different indigenous cultures, each clothing, toy or mask had a lot of information about its origin and year of creation. Just like the place is beautiful to take photos in an urban environment but where you feel great tranquility.

Expérience fantastique: A small space, but very very nice. A museography that aims more at an interpretation center, whose selection of pieces (dating back centuries, barely five years) beautifully and perfectly portrays the diversity and richness of Mexican indigenous art. For a complete experience, it is recommended to then walk towards Tlatelolco, lose yourself a bit in the housing complex to go out to the Plaza de las Tres Culturas. A simple and unique experience.

Expérience fantastique: The building is original from times. Also the importance of unworthy culture, very good.

Elias Li 1 year ago

Expérience fantastique: The building, built in the 18th century, began as the customs office for the pulque that arrived in Mexico City, later it had various government uses until it was declared a national monument in 1934. It is impossible to express all the information, traditions, language and culture of the indigenous people of the country, but this small museum manages to give a great introduction and context of the indigenous people. At this time (June 2022) there is a permanent exhibition and 2 temporary ones. The staff is friendly and willing to help you at all times. Photos without flash are allowed and it is completely free, even guided tours. Just a comment, to the guided tour staff a little (really little) of knowledge about the building. Unfortunately it has very few visits, it is important to visit it, in order to learn more about our past and preserve these buildings with so much history.

Expérience fantastique: Small but well installed Museum. It has temporary and permanent exhibitions. It is also home to many cultural activities.

Expérience fantastique: It is a small but charming museum, receives few visitors and has been on the verge of closing. Among its interesting characteristics, Santa Ana was imprisoned there and it was a Diplomatic school. The building underwent changes due to the opening of Avenida Reforma but you can still appreciate its architectural style, highly recommended.

Expérience fantastique: The place is small, but very well organized and beautiful. Everything is very well taken care of and in a way exposes the indigenous culture of Mexico. The security on site is very polite and attentive. It's worth the visit.

Expérience fantastique: Museum that allows you to learn about the life of various indigenous groups in Mexico, on its walls there are family trees of the different languages spoken in Mexico and has many pieces of popular art. It takes a couple of hours and access is free, so it's worth your visit.

Armando Trejo 2 years ago

Expérience fantastique: Free from Monday to Friday from 11-5pm It is small but very incredible, a general explanation of indigenous peoples, music, indigenous languages, clothing, objects, costumes for festivities, and some characters that contributed to INPI.

Expérience fantastique: I loved!!! Moreover, I loved him for being well taken care of, impeccable and for having the pieces in display cases, the information is very complete, I sincerely enjoyed reading and observing in detail the objects and pieces they exhibit, I enjoyed the two exhibitions that It was inside it. I was shocked to be inside a site that dates back to the 18th century.

Expérience fantastique: Neglected museum with few rooms for exhibition. Located in front of the Tlatelolco housing unit, almost on the corner with Manuel González. The property is old but keeps mysticism of the time, it was an old customs. The exhibition is interesting but it is not very extensive. Room walls full of saltpeter and in poor condition. The indigenous theme is wonderful!

Expérience fantastique: Admission is free, you just have to register at the entrance

Minerva Silva 3 years ago

Expérience fantastique: Historic building dating from the 18th century was customs and in 1753, the Pulque tax was collected. The exhibition is small with enough information to start in the knowledge of the large indigenous sector of Mexico exhibits of crafts, dances, clothing and indigenous traditions of our country, recommended to visit, near metrobus 3 cultures on Avenida Reforma corner with Peralvillo.

Expérience fantastique: Museum that rescues the different manifestations of the native peoples in the central zone of the country. Access is free and the location is next to Reforma and Peralvillo avenues. It is recommended to go during the week and ask for the guided tour, especially if you go with school groups, since recreational activities designed for the enjoyment of children are offered.

Expérience fantastique: Great conservation work and an incredible history of the enclosure but the collections are small and little changing. The best thing is its live cultural displays, mainly at museum nights, as well as its indigenous film performances.

Expérience fantastique: Learning from our culture is not that difficult, you just have to wake up, walk and run in order to admire and know the roots that each one of us has forged in our skin, clothing, footwear and food, that we are not different, that we exist in these times of discrimination when we should feel proud of ourselves, of our people, go out to live, know and not discriminate, be ourselves and feel proud to carry a sign that says "I am Mexican" on our forehead.

Expérience fantastique: Very nice museum!! Full of tradition!! The only drawback is that it is very small, although the important thing is what is presented in it

Vanessa Solis 6 years ago

Expérience fantastique: Small museum, but very important to preserve. Several times they wanted to close it for lack of visitors :( You can learn a lot about the different indigenous peoples of our country, their vision of nature, of the land and of the traditions that we should not miss. Do not miss their museum night , is beautiful.

Expérience positive: San Bartolomé Atlatlahucan

Cheryl K 9 years ago

Expérience positive: Quite disappointing and it's sad that others think it's worthy. The fact that it took until 2012 for a museum about the indigenous Mexicans to open contradicts all the propaganda stated within. Add that it's a small museum with only 2 rooms and there is no cohesion of the items and info on display only worsens the situation. It's as though a few people were sitting around a table one day trying to come up with a reason to create yet another museum in this city and they said, "Hey! Ya know what we don't have? A museum about the indigenous!" There isn't even a map showing Mexico and where all the indigenous tribes are located. Sad. The room with 3 video screens is a waste because each is so close to the other that you can't hear what's being said. Better if the indigenous had opened a museum about themselves.
