Expérience fantastique: Came here for Jazz Night which happens on the 3rd Friday of each month. This was my second time at the High but my first time coming to Jazz night and I must say I really enjoyed myself. The entire museum was open to explore, the music was amazing, and the drinks were flowing. I came with four other ladies, and we all had a really great time. I look forward to coming back for some of the other themed nights at the museum.

Expérience fantastique: Honestly the best membership I’ve ever bought! They have so many events for babies, children & adults! So thankful to have such an amazing museum to go to with so many different exhibits, tours & events. Usually go during the week but the weekends are not that busy most times. It’s always fun to go here & then walk across to colony square for lunch. 10/10 recommend & employees are always kind & helpful.

Expérience fantastique: Nice place with varied exhibits. Have toddler events on certain Saturdays. Was a nice place to spend the day. Accepts free entry for Bank of America card holders on first Saturday of the month.

Expérience fantastique: Can't say enough nice things about the High museum. Friendly staff, low entrance fee, amazing and varied exhibits. Even my teens enjoyed it. We even managed to park outside for free although admittedly it was Sunday.

Expérience fantastique: We always enjoy a day to appreciate good art at the High Museum! We had tickets for the Obama portrait tour and it was pretty interesting to see as we got the full details of the portrait! If you’re around Midtown Atlanta, I highly recommend coming here to enjoy a great day to appreciate all types of art! There is a specific day each month that you can enter the museum for free!

Expérience fantastique: The high museum is an architectural beauty. The building itself is so well designed with sky lights at the top shining light into the works of art. At the moment there is a KAWS exhibit in the museum that was very cool to see along with art by Khinde Whiley. Visited the top floor which has all of the African art which was great to see. Would come back as the Obama portraits are on their way to visit the High Museum.

Expérience fantastique: The high museum is a beautiful experience. A great place to go alone, walk around, relax and admire great art. The floors are really creaky tho which kind of takes you out of the moment but the exhibits make up for that.

Expérience fantastique: A beautifully laid out museum with lots of contemporary art. I went for the Obama Portraits Tour...simply amazing. I'll be going back again soon. I was there for 3 hours but because there is so much to learn and take in, 3 hours definitely wasn't enough. The Portraits Tour took just over an hour within itself as there were so many people. The gift shop downstairs was a nice touch.

Expérience fantastique: Great museum with something for everyone! Loved the modern art as well as the very old French masters! This place is beautiful inside and out and I can see why it is top ranked in the US! Wish we had more time here! Be sure to follow the signs to the parking garage and you can literally take two elevators to get to the entrance of the museum.

Expérience fantastique: Beautiful architecture and art! Conveniently located on Peachtree street, the High has a parking ramp and admission isn’t too pricey. Lots of different collections from paintings and sculptures to furniture and gorgeous pottery. I really enjoyed the silver.

Expérience fantastique: I'm not much of a museum person but my granddaughter asked to go. So of course I took her. She really enjoyed the exhibits. I did too. We started at the top floor and walked the ramps to get to the other floors. I loved the big silver faceted bowl and how it reflects what is going on around it. That was cool. I took pictures of what I liked.

Expérience fantastique: This is a really cool museum located in Midtown in Atlanta Georgia. The pictures are from a particular show which was the light show. However they always have different exhibits running so it’s worth checking out. It is so large and such a wide open space that you don’t feel claustrophobic walking around. Also they have fun nights on Friday night I believe where they play jazz and there’s a bar and you can drink and walk around. Overall this is a great place to walk around and catch some art. Also it brings you into Midtown which is a great part of town and there’s lots of places to eat around there. There’s also the botanical gardens around there which is super cool. Highly recommend.

Expérience fantastique: Loved it! My teen even said, “this is a SOLID museum!” Just an absolutely beautiful place! Especially liked the china/glassware, this (pictured) outdoor art called “Ascent,” and the room with ceramic pots (pictured). Bonus that it was FREE and the staff was so nice/welcoming. Enjoyed it very much!

Expérience fantastique: Wonderful from the outside in! Spectacularly designed building and spaces, compelling and diverse collection, great children's spaces, and a nice courtyard to have a snack. Elevator for accessibility. A place to return to several times.

Expérience fantastique: Amazing Museum with a lot of history and culture. It can take you 2 hours to go through this or just 45 minutes depending on your pace. Next time I'm in ATL I will be stopping by for sure.

Expérience fantastique: I love the High Museum of Art. My favorite time to go is on the first Friday of every month for High Frequency Fridays. They have a live band and a bar. It’s definitely a place to take a date or have a cute sophisticated night with friends. Staff is always polite and even on its busiest nights, the wait to get in is never long. Also, the membership is totally worth it! You won’t regret buying it, even if you are new to the art scene like me.

Expérience fantastique: Enjoyable experience, but the security felt like it was breathing down our necks a little. I get the need to protect the art however so I understand. All the art here was in the main exhibits floors 1 2 and 3. On LL there is a poster exhibit full of interesting posters, however I didn't get any pictures. The being oval mirror was also a favorite for me and many of the people there. My favorite part is all in the architecture of the building. One complaint there being the noisy flooring. All around well made exhibits and as i said, an enjoyable experience.

Expérience fantastique: The museum is perfectly designed for art lovers, you enjoy spending around three hours around. The building consists of 3 floors. You can find many exceptional art collections. Also there is a shop at the ground floor in case you want grab some souvenirs. You can use the elevator to get the 3rd floor and then get down by walk.

Expérience fantastique: Lovely art museum in Atlanta. I go every year, and this years visit was for the Picasso + Calder exhibition. The exhibit was well curated, and I loved seeing the juxtaposition of the artists work. My only qualm was the formation of lines outside the museum were extremely unorganized with no signage or employees informing us where to go. I would just suggest getting there a bit early to make your window!

Expérience fantastique: Spending 3 hours in this museum is still too short for me. There are a lot of interesting exhibitions / displays. Sure you can get many great ideas and be inspired / surprised with all creativities here. Don’t miss the chance to visit this place if you visit Atlanta.

Expérience fantastique: My visit to the High Museum of Art 2020. Went with my fraternity brother and had a great time. Always great to take a second and enjoy art

Expérience fantastique: When they are not filming the TV series “The Resident” this place is a wonderful museum. We just went to the traveling Calder-Picasso exhibition which is absolutely mesmerizing. Great description and exhibits. Then be sure to see the rest of the exhibits from contemporary to folk art. This is an Atlanta “must see”, and at less than $20 a head), is a great deal. I’m sure discounts are available. Great staff and gift shop. Parking can be a hassle, but the quality of the museum is well worth the effort to find parking.

Expérience fantastique: There’s certainly a lot to see at this museum, and they have a good variety of art from the classics to the modern. The building is kind of in a goofy layout, but it just adds to the ambience of an art museum. Definitely take advantage of the free weekend entry days. It can be crowded but tolerable, nonetheless.

Expérience fantastique: Visited the High Museum to see the Calder Picasso special exhibit. Was my first time there and was blown away by the fresh architectural presence of the museum juxtaposed in a rapidly modernizing part of the city of Atlanta. The exhibit itself was finely curated; it unraveled a tale of two artists and their evolution as told by both of their grandsons. There were warm and kind ushers throughout the museum - a rarity for many musuems. It was not stuffy, despite the rich array of collections. Women's wing and BIPOC artists were present in some galleries - more than at most modern art museums in the US, but still left wanting even more. A wide array of material and media in each gallery kept the attention and eagerness to see what was around the next corner. Gift shop was eclectic as every fantastic art museum gift shop should be. Pricey. Cafe was meager and lacking but it is pandemic times. A wonderful 2.5 hr experience and I likely only saw 1/4 of what the museum had to offer. The campus was family friendly with open areas outside to explore and run, but some possibly unsafe on-street parking options behind the museum.

Expérience fantastique: Beautiful and incredible museum. I’m so happy I visited this place!!! If you like/love art, you should definitely come here (and even if you’re not into art, I’m sure you’ll like it after being here)

Queenb Mimi 2 years ago

Expérience fantastique: Its nice. There are three buildings worth of art. (2 wings and the light exhibit in the building across the wall way). The art varies from photography to scrap yard art. The museum embodies people from all walks of life. They have a nice play area for kids 2 different rooms. I think this is a great spot for a date or family outing. Some of the art is explicit though. So beware.
