Expérience fantastique: Really cool architecture and a rally good museum with a beautiful view over the city

Olmo Gucciano 1 year ago

Expérience fantastique: An awesome building! There is a different subject at every floor. At the roof the 9th floor you can see all the city. Latin America floor is one of the best. While you're climbing up the stairs as if you are walking through the history. Ancient times, wedding, history of Antwerp are exhibited in the museum. You can arrive the museum by walking nearby bank of the Scheldt River from Grate Market approximately within 20 minutes. If you Don't want to walk that much you can ride bike or scooter.

Expérience fantastique: Fantastic place. Through the journey to roof (that's free by the way), look carefully and enjoy the pictures on the wall. Outstanding journey but should be done via the escalators. Panoramic View of whole Antwerp is stunning from above.

Expérience fantastique: Must see museum. Whether you want to learn about Antwerp, pre Columbus relics in south America or future of food. It's all here. Storytelling of highest order, engrossing you for hours. And if you just want to see Antwerp from the top? Don't buy ticket, just go!

Expérience fantastique: Take 9 escalators and 1 flight of stairs to reach the topmost floor for panoramic view of the scenic city.

Expérience fantastique: A very interesting museum dedicated to Antwerp and international trade, set in a truly beautiful building. Free access to rooftop viewing deck which is well worth a visit.

Richard Ortwein 1 year ago

Expérience fantastique: Every floor has its own collection. 10th floor is the panoramic view of the city. The most impressive part were the ship displays. Really goes into the history of Antwerp and what influenced its current day politics. The large landscape paintings gave an insight into what was popular during the time were both countryside and urbanization were shown together.

Expérience positive: Well, it’s big, so big that most of the time it feels but empty. Once a while an exhibition interesting to visit. But most of the time, it’s good for climbing all the way to the roof top to enjoy the panoramic view of the city and the harbor. So worthwhile give it a try. : :

Expérience fantastique: Free entry to the rooftop (10th floor) via escalators where you will pass each floor. The high floors have wonderful panoramic views of the city. There are some nice restaurants in the area where you can grab some lunch.

Expérience fantastique: Huge building, great architecture and cheap to visit considering the richness and the quality of exhibitions inside. We liked the one on the pre-Columbian civilization and the one on Antwerp.

Expérience fantastique: Best place to see Antwerp from the top! And it is for free the access to the roof is completely free of cost, just keep in mind you need to climb 1 floor of stairs at the top and rest 9 floors of escalators. But it is worth it!

Expérience fantastique: We visited the Strom Museum - which is beautiful from the outside, and provides a wonderful view of Antwerp from the rooftop. There is no cost to visit the viewing area on the roof. The museum itself has a number of exhibits.

Tammy Owins 1 year ago

Expérience fantastique: I did not visit the exhibits in the Museum but went up to the 10 floor to see the free panoramic view of Antwerp.

Expérience fantastique: MAS, which stands for the Dutch "museum on the river", is situated in the oldest part of #Antwerp's port. This parallelepiped building resembles containers placed on top of each other.

Expérience fantastique: Very beautiful museum. It has a lot of floors and the rooftop gives you an amazing sight of the city! Its not expensive the entry and we were lucky to have found the museum almost empty. Really enjoyed the stands and wished i could see also the paintings they had in the locked cage. We visited quite fast (half a day) but you can spend the whole day inside thr museum.

Expérience fantastique: Only visited after museum hours to explore the Panorama and Viewing Gallery. Wonderful experience.. escalators took us all but last floor.. ever opening vistas .. great images of folk around escalators... glimpses of museum exhibitions made me really want to return. Views from the top across city, river and port were stunning. Huge thanks!

Expérience fantastique: Spent a good few hours here. There was something to see on nearly every floor. Exhibits were very big and detailed; some audio-interactivity in some areas was a bit heavy handed and overwhelming, but if you have a lot of time you can really lose yourself in each of the exhibits. Panorama at the top is worth the long escalator trip to the roof, with a full 360 of the city on offer. The building is an architectural delight too.

Expérience fantastique: The entrance to the rooftop is free for everyone. From there, you have a beautiful view over the town.

Expérience fantastique: One of the most beautiful museums I have ever been. Amazing architecture with attention to details. Free access to the rooftop with panoramic view. Numerous halls with art.

Lucien Glass 2 years ago

Expérience fantastique: This is an architectural gem. Inside and out wrapped in the same stone material. The Mass manages to bring the outside in and the inside out, in a connecting way. There are spectacular views over the city for one to enjoy as you go up and around 10 stories of this public beauty. Each corner opens to a unique view of the city. The double curved glass openings give one a surreal art viewing experience ontop of the journey, inside the journey. Go visit I strongly recommend!

Expérience fantastique: There is an amazing view of the city from the rooftop and the best of it, it’s for free. There are lots of pubs and restaurants nearby. A must if you visit Antwerp.

Expérience fantastique: Very interesting building with a nice panoramic view on the top.If the weather is accidentaly clear then you are lucky...From the 3.floor till the 8.are museums with exhibition. It is some kind of mix of art culture and history of many nation...The entrance is 5 euro which is nothing for this experience.

Expérience fantastique: Divers like the city! Great collection and wonderful temporary exhibition. Beautiful mirror of life, here and abroad. Exquisite view from the 10th floor, over the city.

Expérience fantastique: Great museum, several separate excibitions, themes are very different and super interesting. What I like the most is that there is a logically understandable story behind each exhibition, not just a bunch of objects, like many museums like to do. And of course price is very good!

Expérience fantastique: The building is really beautiful, it’s even a bit shocking see the building with those huge glasses , the inside is beautiful as well and it has a lot of interesting areas, definitely if anybody comes to Antwerpen they should visit this. In case you are carrying a lot of things don’t worry cause they have lockers at the entrance, also the areas are very clean and there’s plenty of alcohol all around the building for you. One more thing that i liked to make the museum more interesting is that you can take a game at the beginning of each exposition that made me focus more on the things I was watching, really cool! Thank you very much.

Expérience fantastique: One of the most beautiful and interesting museum I have been! The building is stunning with amazing view to the river. Each stage presents different show. Some are presenting the history of Antwerp economic and food chain. One show is about Antwerp dancing. You will learn a lot of different knowledge there and it is worth to pay a visit!

Expérience fantastique: The summer vacation has started! There is nothing more fun than going up to the MAS on a day off and seeing the Antwerpen city from the roof? They open the boulevard and the roof for free.

Cal 2 years ago

Expérience fantastique: MAS is a unique experience with a multitude of diverse exhibitions, encompassing the maritime history of Antwerp to global issues. Also worth noting is its architectural design with a curved glass facade. Please be aware that the public area of the museum, including the panoramic viewing platform on the rooftop, could be entered free of charge.

Expérience fantastique: The Mas is a great place to visit. We so many different floors have displays to different topics. The roof offers a great view over the city. We had to pay 10€ per person to enter, outside Corona its said that u can visit the top also for free. Happy days
