Expérience fantastique: Osgemeos exhibition is a wonderful colour bath

Expérience fantastique: Cover local and international artist, most times has two or three exhibitions of different artist at the same time.

Expérience fantastique: A great contemporary art gallery with several temporary exhibitions featuring Spanish artists. Probably not to miss if you've got an itinerary that includes great art here in Malaga. It was good for a quick visit on our first day here before the more ambitious art explorations of the week!

Expérience fantastique: I simply love this place! Every time I am in Málaga I go visit it and it is always wonderful..

Jay Abbott 1 year ago

Expérience fantastique: The current temporary exhibition, OSGEMEOS' "When the leaves turn to yellow" is incredible

Expérience fantastique: We loved our visit to the CAC in Malaga! It is free entrance regardless of nationality and the exhibit hall is quite large! We really enjoyed the paintings and artwork that were on display in September 2022 - the main exhibition being by Osgemos who have some very funky work. The only negative I can think of is that we struggled to find the bathroom in the venue despite it being signposted - we had to leave without visiting the bathroom in the end.

Expérience fantastique: Nice museum and great temporary exhibition, wish it was bigger.

Expérience fantastique: Good space to display art. Cool and calm and very relaxed. Would be good to get a better coffee shop, that is open at 10am, rather than a restaurant which does coffee but doesn't really open until after 11. Also a shame we could not sit outside. Also this is the first gallery I've been to that doesn't have a shop! For a free gallery they are definitely missing a trick.

Expérience fantastique: Five stars because the museum is free (it’s hard to complain when it’s free). To be objective, I could’ve been lucky to get into the free exhibition. Nevertheless, the place looks modern inside with lots of contemporary art. I would recommend to visit the place

Ella Hillyard 1 year ago

Expérience positive: Good museum to visit, it’s cool and only one floor so very easy to visit in 1 hour or less. Check what temporary exhibition is on beforehand because I’ve been several times: sometimes they’re great and sometimes they’re a bit naff. The annual exhibition doesn’t seem to change ever so you’re not so inclined to go back that often

Expérience fantastique: Interesting modern art. Free entrance. Had a great 30 minutes!

Expérience fantastique: Really a museum with a lot of modern paintings and other things. Sometimes really big paintings.

Expérience fantastique: Spectaculair spaces with inspiring art.

Expérience positive: 8/10 This museum is great fun for people who like big art in big spaces. Modern art. Pop art. Some of it could make its way to places like Saatchi or Tate Modern, some was quite cheesy - but that's modern popart really. Disabled access is ok - I believe most of not all stairs are skippable.

Expérience fantastique: A great place if you like contemporary art. Showcasing Spanish artists from the last 30 years. It's free to get in also.

Sarah R-H 2 years ago

Expérience fantastique: Excellent exhibitions here when I visited in Feb. Was so glad that we didn't miss it on our visit to Malaga. Plus it's free entry so what have you got to lose?! Bought a book of one of the artists on display there when I went - a beautiful and interesting representation of the female form.

Expérience fantastique: What a spacious beautiful museum. Entry is free and the cafetería excellent. The collection of art is sprays interesting The only comment artists make is the lack of benches, chairs to sit enabling visitors to observe (and maybe draw or paint/ learn) the paintings at ease.

Thomas Babayode 2 years ago

Expérience positive: There were several paintings by different painters and some individual collections. These are the ones that I enjoyed the most. I guess they could have got more paintings in as the place is quite big, and it seemed the space was not utilized to the maximum. Having said that, it was quite an experience. Their restaurant next door was quite busy, but the book and gift shop was closed

Expérience fantastique: Recently has a look inside CAC Málaga. The center of contemporary art. Opens late and no entry fee. 3 large rooms featuring both international and local artiste. If you have time, worth having a look.

Expérience fantastique: A (free) place that belongs to the list to see in Malaga - and more often, their exhibits change often! Friendly, roomy, just take your time - and just round the corner is Óleo Restaurante - an excellent place to have a lunch or so!

Expérience fantastique: Who does not love a free museum? That was a pleasant surprise! The displays that were open were small but very interesting and a pleasure to see. We love this area of Malaga and this museum is perfectly set in it.

Cheryl Monson 2 years ago

Expérience fantastique: Amazing art museum! The art is so fun and colorful right now. It’s a small museum, but many cute photo opportunities! They will hold your bags/jackets/belongings for you. And, it’s FREE!

Alex Makridin 2 years ago

Expérience fantastique: First of all, visiting of this museum is free. Secondly, the exposion is partially changed every 3 months. I and my family were there two times and both visits were worth it and we are going to visit it again. Today there was an exposition of the Canadian artist Don Bergland and before it, there was Rafa Macaron's exhibition.

Expérience fantastique: This is a good place to visit if you like modern art. When we visited there was 2 permanent exhibitions and 2 guest exhibitions. I really enjoyed one of the painters but the sculpture artist was a bit far out for me. You can visit the gallery for free, so well worth a visit.

Expérience fantastique: Great modern museum in the city centre, a good place to spend an hour or so. It was a smaller space but definitely had a variety interesting and unique painted pieces and sculptures. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Expérience fantastique: This is a great gallery (its also free admission) with lots of exhibitions. Just be wary they do close from 14:00 to 17:00 for siesta so plan your visit around those times

Expérience fantastique: I adore this contemporary art museum. During the last 20 years CAC Málaga has brought to this beautiful Mediterranean city the most relevant contemporary artistic proposals covering big part of the international scene. Gilbert & George, Anish Kapoor, Cristina Iglesias, Bill Viola, Anselm Kiefer, Kara Walker, as well as a very large lust of current relevant artists have been exposed in this amazing space that let us enjoy the latest plastic art tendencies.

Expérience fantastique: It depends on the exhibition, but there is no entrance fee.

Expérience fantastique: Super nice! Impressed by the Don Bergland collection (last two pics). Surprised it’s a free entrance museum.

Expérience fantastique: This small museum few hundred meters off the city center displays 20th and 21st century visual art works. We were the only visitors when we got there in the morning. Entry was free. I had to leave my backpack before entering. It was quiet. The artists may not be famous, but many of the works were very interesting, and I enjoyed the visit no less than the one at the Picasso museum.

Craig Jones 3 years ago

Expérience fantastique: Amazing place, right outside our hotel on the edge of the city centre. A huge airy gallery with a diverse exhibition of hypnotic art. I can't believe it's free entry, a must for art lovers, and people that are amazed by art. I'm the latter

Expérience fantastique: Free to visit, with some wonderful exhibitions that change every month. Highly recommended.

Expérience fantastique: A lovely art space, a good break from the heat of the streets, a calm oasis with art to soothe the soul from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Keena Duffy 3 years ago

Expérience fantastique: Nice exhibition, good for a 20/30 minute wander.

Liz Blackborow 4 years ago

Expérience fantastique: Wonderful gallery with a wide range of talented artists - some world famous and some up and coming. It was well curated in a fabulous space with plenty of room to view the art works. I was surprised and appreciative that there was no charge to enter. In any other large European city you would probably have to book in advance and fight the crowds to view each work. Visit now before it gets too popular!

S Hille 4 years ago

Expérience fantastique: Cool exhibitions where you can take many pics. It is very cheap to enter, if not free, and it is definitely off the beaten path.

Expérience fantastique: Very interesting exposition, always a pleasure to walk around the rooms discovering new artist and new art pieces

Expérience fantastique: I saw some fantastic work at the art gallery. Modern art can be hit or miss and this was certainly a hit. It felt relaxed and was a lovely temperature compared to the heat outside. I could also walk right up to the pictures and really soak them in. The sculptures were cool as well, a few looked like bean bags that you sat on, which I nearly did until I realised they were art installations. I'm a huge huge fan of blade runner and one of the artists had a homage to the film or architect designer of the tiles / buildings in the movie.
