Expérience fantastique: Very pleasant experience. If you have a few hours to spend then this is a fantastic place to be at. Not expansive but they carry some very good pieces. I found work of Robert Longo, of course no modern art museum is complete without his work now a days. Another very interesting finding was Clyde Butcher (famously called Ansel Adams of Everglades). Highly recommended if you are in Orlando.

Expérience fantastique: Absolutely beautiful place. The entire building was completely pristine and elegant from the inside out, exuding the perfect "art museum" atmosphere. Exhibits were sprawling, detailed, and had fantastic explanations. A large selection of displays that rotate on a regular basis have left me excited to revisit in the coming months. The interactive areas for children, while few and far between, were very cute and only further added to the welcoming atmosphere. One of my largest fears with art museums has always been a sense of pretentious gatekeeping, particularly in terms of price; this was not at all a problem at OMA, and prices were very reasonable for admission. I love that it's in the same plaza as several other museums, including the science center. The adorable gift shop was the icing on the cake, with tons of local goods. Looking forward to returning!

Expérience fantastique: I spent a couple hours on a Saturday afternoon in this museum and it was a very soothing experience. This museum is not too big, so not a lot of walking needed. It had a wide variety of items to look at: historical artifacts, sculptures, painting (classic and contemporary), domestic and international artists. And photography also. Overall, great place.

Expérience fantastique: Great experience. I really enjoyed the exhibits. Love Clyde Butcher! I wish there were more prints on hand to choose from, especially from the less known artists. I would of bought several. Love Franklin Evans.

Expérience fantastique: It’s a small but beautiful museum that has evolved so much over the years. Once a rough gem, now a shining one for sure. It’s a pleasure to visit, particularly for special events. Glad to have this special museum in Orlando!

Expérience fantastique: Always a treat to visit our beautiful art museum! I attended an event to look at potential acquisitions and the art took my breath away! So many upcoming, talented artist! Loved every minute.

Expérience fantastique: During my visit, the facility was in the middle of remodelling one or two of their show rooms. So over all, it was one of the smaller museums I've visited. But all the same, it made for a very relaxing day trip that lasted a little under an hour. The art there is all beautiful, very influential artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat and Rembrandt. And an incredibly astonishingly large glass sculpture from Dale Chihuly as a center piece. I hope one day to visit when the entire museum is completely full, but until then, I still enjoyed my time visiting. It's worth noting there was also a student discount for admission.

Expérience fantastique: We had a great experience at this place. The permanent exhibit was great as was the new exhibit of Michael Basquiat. The place had handicap accessible parking, although, the parking lot is made of bricks so maybe difficult for some wheelchairs. Overall positive experience very open inside and accessible. Great gift shop and helpful personnel. Tickets, a tad pricing but they do have discounts for veterans, and seniors. Veterans that are currently serving are free!

Expérience fantastique: My daughter and I came to this museum on a whim as we had some time to kill before a play at Orlando Shakes. I was so glad we decided to come here. At first I was a bit hesitant because I saw the entry fee was going to be $40.00 for the two of us, then I saw Military Veterans, with ID get in for free. So in total, it cost us $8.00 for admission, as my daughter gets a discount as well for her age. Coming in, I knew we made the right choice as the art is phenomenal and displayed with great care. The museum is very well maintained, clean, with professional personnel. Gift shop folks are very helpful as well. All in all, I would get myself a membership here for my family if we were local. They told me they have a Banksy exhibit in the next few years. How cool! Go visit this museum.

Expérience fantastique: I've visited this museum multiple times since I was a baby! Their exhibits are always fantastic! Staff is always kind and everything is socially distant. Highly recommend. It's affordable too

Expérience fantastique: Awesome way to have a down day from a trade show. No Theme park kids or their families and quiet. Just the perfect size and collection. Thank you!

Expérience fantastique: Really enjoyed this museum! The Basquiat exhibition was fantastic. It was the perfect way to get a more in depth look at the artist and his work. Can’t wait for future offerings. We will definitely be back! Tip: If you get the membership, it’s only a little more money and you get to visit a lot of their events for free (such as their special event the first Thurs of each month). You also get free admission to other local museums in Florida.

Expérience fantastique: My wife and I went to the Annual Festival of Trees exhibit. In addition to hanging art and sculptures, there are several Christmas trees and wreaths decorated in traditional and nontraditional styles throughout the museum. Fun for the whole family! Don't forget to grab lunch at the Cafe 101. Their pressed turkey and cranberry sandwich was very popular.

Expérience fantastique: Visiting this place was absolutely inspirational. I was lucky to see one of vibrant, quilted portraits (Wangari Maathai, 2020) of my very favorite artist Bisa Butler and also a collaboration between the museum and the American University in Cairo, featuring works by Iranian artists showcasing their immigration journey through art! “A Boundless Drop to a Boundless Ocean” Amazing glass beads from South Africa. Oil paintings from The Dewis Collection, LC. And much more.

Expérience fantastique: Admission is respectfully fair, considering all the great art you experience from the moment you enter. Me and my family enjoyed our time here and it was well spent!

Expérience fantastique: If you are a fan of museums, are visiting the Orlando area, and want to do something different to the theme parks routine, this is an excellent alternative. It is very well organized and pretty spacious. We visited in October of 2021 and the exhibitions were very good and included a Raphael, a Reubens, a Cezanne, and a O'Keeffe, just to name some. We really liked it.

Expérience fantastique: The Christmas Tree Festival was great! Very beautiful displays and watched a dance performance outside. Everyone was considerate and practicing social distancing/mask wearing inside. The art exhibits themselves were interesting and unique! Will definitely come back.

Expérience fantastique: You’re after year the Orlando Museum of Art put on an incredible Festival of Trees. Hundreds of designer trees and wreaths deck the halls of the museum in hopes of being purchased by one of the thousands of visitors that come through to enjoy the incredible visual experience that this festival brings

Expérience fantastique: Beautiful exhibit , we went during the festival of trees and it was amazing with all the christmas trees, wreaths and gingerbread houses. Almost everything was for sale or being raffled off, and there was great gift shops/ boutique with unique gifts, great place to get some christmas shopping done. Wonderful experience

Expérience fantastique: Beautiful exhibits and a great chance to admire world-class art. I always learn so much about the pieces on exhibition and I walk away having learned so much of the artists themselves. Definitely a treat for anyone looking to spend a few hours in quiet awe. I have a great time whether I’m here alone or with friends and family.

Expérience fantastique: I had the chance of visiting Orlando for a few days, but the idea of dealing with long lines and the crowded spaces of the entertainment parks was not really appealing to me, so I decided to visit instead the Morse Museum and the Orlando Museum of Art. After walking through the aisles of the second one and getting the chance of checking out both their temporary and permanent exhibition, I can say I did not waste my time by making the choice of visiting this location. I can say this was my first time getting the chance to see in person the work of Louis Dewis and Edward Steichen, both part of their temporary exhibition that are definitely breathtaking. They also have a good section dedicated to Mesoamerican and Native American Art, that is definitely accurate in its curation (I can speak as a Mexican that has visited endless archeological sites). The museum is full of activities, a great staff and a museum shop that is extremely cute and full of cool souvenirs that will make great gifts that are very rare and unique. I definitely recommend the visit if you’re looking for something else other than the big commercial parks in town.

Expérience fantastique: Participated in their 1st Thursday of the month event, Hollywood Horror was the theme. There was really fascinating and cool art on display, lots of people in great costumes, fun live music and much more. I had a wonderful time and am considering volunteering for more events!

Expérience fantastique: I attended a charity event here for the Gail Foundation, and I was really impressed. Of course it's easy to get to, and there's ample parking, but the venue itself is really cool! The main event was held in a circular room with a glass ceiling. Right in the middle of the room there's a Chihuly glass sculpture that's just spellbinding. The museum also had another area of exhibits open for us to view. It was a great way to take in some art & culture while having a fabulous time for a great cause. #GailFoundation

Expérience fantastique: Orlando should be proud of its spacious museum and its strong permanent collection. It should be even prouder of the work of the museum’s curators in their presentation of individual artists. We were stunned by the quality of the Purvis Young exhibition, with its aggregation of works for maximum impact and its integration of video, adding historical context to the series on view. We were also impressed by the harmonious selection of the works of Winifred Johnson Clive, an artist whose work we had not encountered previously. It would have been nice to have a scholarly critique of her work provided to us as a link or brochure alongside the personal exhibition.

Expérience fantastique: First of all..... 5/5 for the modern art exhibit filled with beautiful black art. The museum even features works by Kara Walker. It was an honor coming here last weekend. And any other time that I've come to visit. I also heard about the relocation! I hope that more works from notable artists will be featured at Lake Nona!

Expérience fantastique: My friend had his wedding and reception here, it was such an amazing place to do this! it was classy and it felt like it was a movie, having a wedding in an art museum was just awesome, now I need to go back and visit the museum, so I could enjoy the art work even better and think about the memories from that awesome wedding!

Expérience fantastique: My favorite of the museums in the area. I try to visit the new exhibitions at least once a month. I am a bank of America member so I go for free on the first weekend of the month. The Purvis Young showing was of the my tops to find because I'm originally from South Florida. Beautiful curator here.

Expérience fantastique: Pretty cool, variety of types of art, mostly modern. I found the African and South American artifacts interesting. Adult ticket is $15 and children (17 and under) are $5 so that's pretty reasonable

Expérience fantastique: This museum is beautiful. The location is great, the facilities are impecable and the staff is very friendly. I enjoy when the museum has contemporary art shows, like the annual Florida Prize. It's difficult to see high quality contemporary art in Orlando, so this show is very appreciated. If you like local art, the museum has every month an event called "1st Thursday's". Stop by to enjoy Florida grown art, live music and great food.

Expérience fantastique: High quality collection of contemporary art. I really enjoyed it. Also good more traditional works, mostly American I think. As others mention, it is smallish. Although I thought it was big enough. The biggest gallary was closed when I was there. Definitely worth a visit. 15$ entree fee is cheap.

Expérience fantastique: ... "The perception of art is more valuable than the art itself".!!! ... If you've never visited an Art Museum before, because you always thought they were "Too Stuffy, Too Boring, Too Much Walking, Too Intellectual, or Too Everything that you felt were against"... Well think again.!!! ... This IS the Art Museum that you need to visit.!!! ... Its Not Huge, so you can enjoy your stroll through the galleries and let your eyes wander open your mind to interpitations of other people imaginations.!!! (but if you truly enjoy a walk, the museum is situated and surrounded by a beautiful and lush green blend of tree covered rolling hills and flats perfect for a picnic). ... Its Cozy and Intimate with places to sit and enjoy the exhibits while you decide what to make of what you're looking at... And on "First Thursdays" ,(the first thursday of each month) they have small gatherings and exhibit openings with food and drink available, with interactive displays to enjoy for an impromptu fun and romantic evening.!!! So if you're looking for something to do and expand your mind, open your eyes and make you think... Check out the Orlando Museum of Art any day of the week, even if just to enjoy the quiet setting and color around you.

Expérience fantastique: So I won 4 tickets off the radio station and I have 2 say that this was one of the best prizes I have won off the radio. The staff us so amazing! The way everything was set up was so beautifully displayed. I would go again. Everyone should at least go once to the Christmas special. It's called Festival of Tree. I may have uploaded a lot of picture's but wanted you all to see what it's like and show you a little bit more of hiw beautiful it really is.
