Expérience fantastique: It’s quite an interesting place for those who like art. You can spend a lot of time studying every piece or have a quick glance - I’m sure you’ll enjoy it anyway You have 4 floors to explore. Everything is written in Spanish, Catalan and English, so it’s very convenient Second floor is my personal favourite, btw Their temporary exhibitions are also pretty neat. And the best part is that you never you buy a ticket, you can come back to museum within 9 months for free (if you bring the ticket with you and show it). I think it’s really nice, because in this way you can see temporary exhibitions for free or come back to the part that you found the most interesting

Expérience fantastique: A wonderful museum! They did an amazing job setting up a compelling narrative across most exhibits. The items they have, along with the write ups create a story and are not just a random collection of objects.

Expérience fantastique: Very underrated museum! I’m surprised it didn’t have more people, but I guess the Gaudi hype takes away from all of the other museums. Museum was quite empty which was nice. They had a really cool ceramic exhibition when I went; I hadn’t seen pottery applied in those ways before and it was cool to see what artists made from the clay! The permanent collection is 4 floors, including graphic design, decorative art, and fashion. Being a fashion enthusiast, the fashion collection was most interesting for me. The collections all followed a theme of showing how art styles changed over time (for fashion they split it up by time period / style, for graphic design you could see how GD styles changed over time especially with the introduction of technology).

Expérience fantastique: Design Museum, Barcelona, Spain. The museum is always clean, You need to make a reservation according to covid restrictions. The details and designs from 80s or even when the printing started, can be seen here. A must visit for everyone interested in design – you’re sure to be inspired.. Interesting museum from an architectural point of view. Please note than on the website you may be able to get the tickets for free as the first Sunday of the month is free of charge. You'll be surprised to find out how many objects have originated in this part of the world. Hope you have a wonderful trip..

Expérience fantastique: The museum is in a modern building in a less crowded part of the city, and was almost empty at the time of our visit (late Sunday morning). A great place to get away from the noise and crowds! At the time of our visit, the ground floor was an interesting showcase of Spanish industrial design, definitely worth visiting if you are interested in this topic. The rest of the floors had exhibitions on illustrative design, historic design, and fashion.

Expérience fantastique: Endroit charmant. Bonne ambiance. Rempli d'informations. Situé à côté de l'un des plus grands centres commerciaux de la belle ville de Barcelone. Pour les touristes, c'est un endroit à visiter absolument. Le dôme de gloire est souvent illuminé et il est magnifique la nuit.

Expérience fantastique: Excelente museum with a nice selection of expositions. We as architects had the opportunity to visit the Enric Miracles house furniture exhibition and we're delighted with the beautiful organization. There were also a Balenciaga hats exposition that was extremely enrich.

Expérience fantastique: Extraordinary museum, it has a lot of historical items ranging from 3rd century up to XX century. Easily the best part were the dresses and bras. It was like something from a movie. I was astonished by the quality and design choices of them. Some of them were quite hilarious for example the rainbow like dress. Never the less it's been a pure pleasure to visit this museum I would recommend this 100%

Expérience fantastique: Beautifully designed building in a unique setting. Interesting exhibitions about product design and graphic design in Spain, shown in a global context. A must visit for everyone interested in design – you’re sure to be inspired!

Expérience fantastique: In a very unusual dark shape the design museum of Barcelona is a modern building with collections distributed on multiple floors, a small cafe and a library (at the lower ground level). The permanent collection is subdivided into four different floors (contemporary object design, historical design and techniques, fashion and graphical design). While the object design floor was a bit conventional exhibition (objects laid in the space a bit too crammed and without a clear logic or theme) I found the fashion exhibition very well organised, with different areas showing evolution in the dress and in the focus on different parts of the body through different historical periods. The collection of different colorful corsets hanging from a wall as a sort of biological table is quite incredible, possibly a piece of art on his own. Also the graphic design, with graphics and posters from the 80s and 90s was really enjoyable. To be noted that ground floor cafe has some nice table outside, and just outside from the entrance there is a number of deck chairs which are amazing for relaxing.

Expérience fantastique: Very interesting cozy museum with 4 floors. Each floor shows the history of clothes, graphic design, art. Advice for visit, you will enjoy!

Expérience fantastique: It was okay for what it was. Entrance price was a little steep and parts were sectioned off due to a conference. Interesting to see the different aspects of design throughout the ages, bit just modern and midcentury designs

Dor Zuberi 4 years ago

Expérience fantastique: Wow, this is all I can say! The design entrance fee is very low (4€/person), and with your ticket you can come back again within 6 months for FREE! The exhibits are very interesting, for industrial design to clothes design. You can see all the ideas and the people from Spain who designed those amazing things some of us use daily without knowing. It has also a nice coffee shop on the ground floor. If you are in Barcelona and you like design or simply a curious person - go see this museum!

Expérience fantastique: This is a really nice design museum, and it's easy to follow through the exhibition because the museum is well designed itself. There're product design, fashion design, graphic design, antique design..you name it! It was free on the 6th of January, and it was a 4 story building. I also enjoyed the cafeteria with a friendly staff and good food

Expérience fantastique: Last time I was here I wish I had had more time to spend here. I came back to visit the fourth floor which was closed the first time around. I definitely would recommend slowly viewing the first and third floors, the object exhibition and the clothing displays were very well organized. There are curious ceramics by Miro and Picasso as well.

Expérience fantastique: A must visit museum if you are into design. The space alone is worth the very reasonable 4euro entrance fee (for those under 30).

Expérience fantastique: A great museum focusing on catalan designers who really made a difference. You'll be surprised to find out how many objects have originated in this part of the world. Where do you think the first hand mixer was invented? Take a wild guess! Also love the poster design collection on the top floor.
