🗣️ Museum of Prehistory and Archaeology of Cantabria: Opinioni
Esperienza fantastica: Very nicely organized and interactive. So much history.
Esperienza fantastica: Solo wow! Espongono la vita preistorica in un modo incredibile! Iniziano a migliaia di anni a.C. e ti guidano attraverso l'evoluzione del mondo fino ad oggi .. Dirò solo wow ..
Esperienza fantastica: Excellent.
Esperienza fantastica: Beautiful well-structured museum, concise information, very well organized, the guided tour very well. Everything is very clean, well explained with its panels. Very modern museum. I recommend your visit. Friendly staff.
Esperienza fantastica: Excellent. An interesting, informative and up to date interpretation of local archaeological finds. Well put together and easy to follow.
Esperienza fantastica: A museum of moderns, of which you can touch some things. There are interactive displays and many instructional videos. Very nice and cheap: €5 for adults. The children I think were €2
Esperienza fantastica: An essential visit if you travel to Cantabria and a necessary complement if you visit any of the caves in the Community. Spectacular content, interactive screens and a very educational and attractive itinerary. Absolutely recommendable is the tour guided by expert museum staff, who make a great effort at communication that is as rigorous as it is enjoyable.
Esperienza fantastica: Great for an afternoon visit. Very enjoyable and interactive even if you're not a big fan of history
Esperienza fantastica: Very well designed museum, where history is exposed from ancient times to Roman times in the Cantabrian region. The guide who explained the passage of time and the findings of different objects did so with great interest and dedication, which is appreciated by the visitor. One thing worth mentioning is the virtual reality glasses that are exposed at the beginning of the visit, where you feel that you are transported to the caves of prehistory, especially the children who experience it as something magical.
Esperienza fantastica: It was closed
Esperienza fantastica: It is just below the Eastern Market. You enter through a corner. Photos without flash are allowed. It has toilets inside. Spectacular and modern way of presenting history and archeology to children and adults. Very interactive and visual, with the original jewels in a display case very close at hand and some replicas to touch. From prehistory to Roman times. It is worth seeing and coming back.
Esperienza fantastica: A very interesting museum, very well explained, ideal to go with children. From the Paleolithic to the Roman era, decorated with great taste and with many original pieces. On Sundays from 5:00 p.m. it is free, you have to book, although they did not ask us for anything at the entrance
Esperienza positiva: Museo molto grafico, ovviamente allestito con grande attenzione e creatività, con mostre che vanno dal paleolitico a tempi romani. Modelli di grotte reali creano davvero l'umore. Niente di troppo speciale. Forse mi aspettavo più pezzi dall'età paleolitica e bronzo poiché è Museum of Prehistory. Ma non ero certo nemmeno insoddisfatto. Personale estremamente disponibile e cordiale
Esperienza fantastica: I loved it, a spectacular space, with very professional guides, don't miss the virtual trip.
Esperienza fantastica: A real pass!! Until you see it, you don't realize all the deposits and utensils found in Cantabria. Very well organized by the different periods, accompanied by different explanatory videos and interactive screens. Not to be missed!
Esperienza fantastica: The entrance is hidden (side of the market), part of it is under renovation, it's small... but the experience IS GREAT. Very didactic. Really. I spent at least 2 pleasant hours there... and I left because it was lunchtime, otherwise I would have spent more time there. Don't miss out!!! VERY GOOD!!! Great curation. Interactive. For all ages.
Esperienza fantastica: Great museum really enjoyed few hours there very interesting exhibits staff friendly and helpful Would highly recommend a visit.
Esperienza fantastica: Really well laid out with detailed explanations and descriptions in both Spanish and English. Well worth a visit.
Esperienza fantastica: Really loved to visit this amazing place. Cantabria has a rich history footprints from prehistoric times and this museum has persevered and presented nicely.
Esperienza fantastica: The MUPAC has a state-of-the-art museum facility. It treasures material record recovered in archaeological sites (paleontological remains, stone tools, pieces of movable art carved in bone and even ...) such as El Castillo, El Pendo, La Garma or Altamira. Visiting the museum is a very enjoyable way to immerse yourself in the past. It is a pity that with the covid theme, the interactive panels are not active.
Esperienza fantastica: Highly recommended if you like History and Archaeology. It is very interactive and goes from prehistory to Roman times in Cantàbria. Very interesting how it explains the work of the archaeologist. The only flaw is that it is very hidden. There are hardly any indications of how to find the entrance door or the place where the enclosure is located. If you go, look for the side street of the market that appears in the Google photo and you will find a door and a sign that can only be seen depending on which side you come from the street.
Esperienza fantastica: Nice and kind people. Very good exhibition. Great location. My son loves the bones and worked stones.
Esperienza fantastica: A really fascinating museum that is well worth the cheap entry fee. The pieces of prehistoric art were incredible. A must see in the city.
Esperienza fantastica: Excellent. Many objects excavated from the pre historic local caves are to be found here
Esperienza fantastica: Great place to visit and learn about prehistoric times here in Santander Spain.
Esperienza fantastica: È stata un'esperienza molto buona. Molti interessanti scoperte archeologiche. Big Stone "Estella" della vecchia civiltà prima dei romani e del Celtico. Molto da vedere in dettaglio. Se sei studente metà del prezzo all'ingresso
Esperienza fantastica: Such a great archaeological museum, with really neat exhibits! €5 for adults, €2 for students, making it a very affordable stop!
Esperienza fantastica: Very good displays. Only downside is that the written information is quite small and difficult to read.
Esperienza fantastica: Well organised, clear and trilingual explanations, nice and kind people helping you...a pleasure to visit..!!
Esperienza fantastica: If you like history this is a great place for you.
Esperienza fantastica: Absolutely worth to see it
Esperienza fantastica: Excellent display
Esperienza fantastica: Thoroughly interesting and well organized.
Esperienza fantastica: Beautiful museum focused on local history, with an extraordinary collection of artifacts very well arranged. The displays are in English, French and Spanish. Time flew. I just returned from the National Museum of Archaeology in Madrid and this one was comparable - better in prehistoric samples and Cantabrian history. I loved it.
Esperienza fantastica: Excellent experience, how museums should be done, tour guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, exhibits and videos interactive and stimulating and all for just 5 euros. Splendid.
Esperienza fantastica: This is one of the best museums I've ever been to. It's laid out very well, so that you move through human history chronologically, from the evolution of hominids up until the Roman conquest. The museum felt like it was the perfect size, with very concise and informative descriptions for all of the displays (in multiple languages). If you are interested in history, this museum is an absolute must-visit if you're in Santander! We stayed until they turned the lights off on us. Bonus that Sunday afternoon visits are free.
Esperienza fantastica: Great exhibits and very good for kids
Esperienza fantastica: A great museum for any age, exhibits are well later out and avaliable in multiple languages.
Esperienza fantastica: Most up-to-date museum I've ever been in. Made good use of all kinds of present-day techniques.
Esperienza fantastica: Great experience! The guide knows it all, the explanation a little bit too long though.
Esperienza fantastica: This is such an inspiring museum, one of the best of its kind that I've personally visited. As a student that is studying heritage conservation, I am amazed by how well of an interpretation this museum offers. It is absolutely a highlight of my visit to Santander. Design details. Most info is presented in three languages (Spanish, English, and partially French). Explanation boards are tilted to fit human versions, and low enough for children. Well designed visitor flow in chronological order. The use of technology serves its educational function well. The digital screens which shoulder the responsibilities of presenting are highly interactive and engaging. Rather than simply displays, it involves games, animations, sound, scene replications and beyond. I highly recommend families to visit this museum, as it will greatly spark children's curiosities on archaeology, anthropology as well as history. (While visiting, there was a museum interpreter working on site showing a group of school kids around, he is very good and friendly(speaks Spanish/English), highly recommend on booking a tour). There is much more to say about this wonderful museum, but nothing explains better than one visiting by its own.
Esperienza fantastica: This is the best museum that I have ever visited. It has well thought out, ingenious exhibits, and with English descriptions as well. Such wonderful artifacts from early Iberian man to medieval times. Excellent disabled access.
Esperienza fantastica: Unique exhibits shown in a fun and interesting way.
Esperienza fantastica: Great museum. Everything is well showcased in an excellent way. You see a lot of things and learn a lot all in an easy peasy way. It depicts the history of mankind in the area from the begining to the occupation of the Romans in Cantabria. Videos and representations are easy to watch and very useful! Really worth a visit!
Esperienza fantastica: You must go and visit this museum! This museum is one of the very best in Spain of this type. They have multilingual boards for almost everything. Their prehistoric is wonderful and they use a lot of technology. While not as big as the one in Madrid they have many amazing pieces. My favorite is the 500-1000ad. Very good collection. At the end there is a lovely exhibit of photographs in video form that goes from the caves to the medieval churches.
Esperienza fantastica: One of the best museums I've been to. You learn about archeology, human evolution, Roman occupation in Cantabria. It's a lot to take in but very much educational and entertaining.
Esperienza fantastica: Very interesting, interactive museum. I thought, it is another one of the same old same old prehistorical museum, but this is definitely worth to visit if you're in the area.
