Esperienza fantastica: Beautiful full of History and amazing art.
Esperienza fantastica: Lovely place to spend some time. You can enjoy a walk in the park, explore the exhibition that changes from time to time or spend lazy time in the sun. There are several places to buy snacks or drinks. Very good place to spend time with the kids
Esperienza positiva: È molto aperto e arioso all'interno (e aria condizionata!) Ma è anche "restaurato" nello stesso senso di uno scheletro anatomico. Posto bello, non aspettarti un palazzo.
Esperienza fantastica: Bella arte e luogo. Molto tranquillo. Consiglio di visitarlo! Ed era gratuito.
Esperienza fantastica: very spacious
Esperienza fantastica: #VALUE!
Esperienza fantastica: Palacio de Velázquez is a wonderful, airy and truly beautiful space to exhibit art in the middle of the Retiro Park. Whether you like the art on display or not depends on the time that you visit. If you're lucky, your visit will coincide with the exhibit of an artist that you will appreciate. But even if the exhibited art is not your cup of tea, go in and see the space. It's free.
Esperienza fantastica: Very interesting temporary exhibition at the moment.
Esperienza fantastica: They always have interesting art for free.
Esperienza fantastica: Highly recommended if you like modern art.
Esperienza fantastica: It was free to get inand see the exhibition, so you can not complain
Esperienza fantastica: A smaller, but interesting museum to visit for free while in El Retiro Park.
Esperienza fantastica: Always excellent exhibitions
Esperienza fantastica: Sadly, I couldn't visit any exhibition but the architecture is gorgeous.
Esperienza fantastica: The current exhibition is awesome!
Esperienza fantastica: I visited the Palacio de Velázquez during an exhibition of paintings and sculptures by Tetsuya Ishida. Much of the work seems to focus around the de-humanising automation of modern work (because breaking you back working in a field was better?). I loved the way the works invoked a feeling despair by workers struggling to adapt to social and technological changes in contemporary life and working demands. A fantastic exhibition. The building itself is also worth seeing for it's mix of Neo-Classical and Neo-Mudejar, with it's lovely polychromic brickwork and especially two winged lions at the entrance.
Esperienza fantastica: Originally known as the Palacio de la Minería, it was built in 1881-3 for the Exposición Nacional de Minería by architect Ricardo Velázquez Bosco (and named after him), engineer Alberto Palacio, and ceramist Daniel Zuloaga.(Wiki..). Its a hub of art and culture.
Esperienza fantastica: Big palace with some important exhibitions
Esperienza fantastica: A must go free museum in Madrid
Esperienza fantastica: Superb exhibition of paintings by Japanese artist Tetsuya Ishida. Very personal work of expressionless people entrapped by various aspects of modern life. Images of solitude, his subjects are dehumanised and become part of the technological landscape.
Esperienza fantastica: Free exhibitions in a beautiful building in the middle of a beautiful park.
Esperienza fantastica: Huge space for exhibitions in the centre of park Retiro.
Esperienza fantastica: Right now they have a beautiful exposition of a Japanese Artist and I was amazing
Esperienza fantastica: One of the highlights of Retiro. Always nice to stroll through and see what's showing inside.
Esperienza fantastica: Great exhibition. Very well explained by a young lady which made it even more interesting.
Esperienza fantastica: The exhibition of Tetsuya Ishida was beautiful. You should go see it. Powerful!
Esperienza fantastica: Free entrance, great exibit
Esperienza fantastica: A Place to take a stroll and enjoy a free exhibition of art
Esperienza fantastica: The Palacio de Velázquez is a lovely building and event space in the centre of El Retiro.
Esperienza fantastica: Beautiful building, free to enter in a breath taking park. Hosts temporary free exhibitions from the Reina Sofia collection.
Esperienza fantastica: I went to see paintings by the Japanese modern artist Tetsuya Ishida. It wasn't crowded so much for Sunday afternoon and it was a great exhibition. A rare opportunity to see his works in Europe.
Esperienza fantastica: This is an extension of the Reina Sofia museum in the giant Retiro park, offering rotating contemporary art exhibitions. Unlike the main museum building, admission is free.
Esperienza fantastica: If you have a long layover in Madrid, I would recommend this museum. We all enjoyed it.
Esperienza fantastica: The 2 pavilions in Retiro Park: the Palacio de Velázquez and the close Palacio de Cristal are the temporary exhibition spaces of Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía. So if someone is not amazed by the beautiful architecture of these pavilions, and their fantastic setting in the park (especially for the cristal palace) - the well curated exhibitions might do the job. It is a great experience to transfer between the natural environment of the park and realm of the arts, forth and back. The entry is free into both pavilions, and after the exhibitions coffee or ice-cream is close by in the neighbouring café.
Esperienza fantastica: There was a tsutaya ishida exhibition while I was there. Amazing..
Esperienza fantastica: Beautifully lit space for showcasing art at its finest. A great way to unwind.
Esperienza fantastica: Very nice exhibits and a great place to get put of the sun. Free entry and a calm atmosphere
Esperienza fantastica: Loved the artistic vibes .
Esperienza fantastica: Queen Sofia's art gallery offer free admission exhibitions around the year.
Esperienza fantastica: Great architecture masterpiece. The exterior it's especially interesting. The effect of those "azulejos", small pieces of ceramic forming big mosaics is striking and look special (for me personal).
Esperienza fantastica: More of a gallery than a museum. The building itself is very beautiful, though I can't tell about exhibitions - they change
Esperienza fantastica: The most amazing exhibition space for contemporary art.
Esperienza fantastica: Hd
Esperienza fantastica: Fantastic artwork from Beatrice Gonzales. Wonderful collection. Information about each painting in Spanish with a few with English translation so may need a translator to assist!
Esperienza fantastica: A place you should not miss! Cool contemporary exhibits in a beautiful setting!
Esperienza fantastica: Great free collections that rotate frequently. Right in the heart of the beautiful Retiro Park, the jewel of Madrid.
Esperienza fantastica: Great exhibit when we visited....lovely builying..
