🗣️ Noordbrabants Museum: Opinioni
Esperienza fantastica: Loved the museum, how wonderful to be able to admire Rembrandt De vaandeldrager . The museum is an exquisite architecture and the art collection is rich.
Esperienza fantastica: Excellent museum and great cafe
Esperienza fantastica: One of the most beautiful museums in the Netherlands and certainly the most beautiful museum in Brabant. Masterpieces by Van Gogh, Breugel, Rubbens. Not just art, but a versatile museum with the history of the region. An extensive audio tour. The museum garden was a bit disappointing, with mainly modern works of art by (to me) strangers. A statue has been made as a tribute to Van Gogh. That's a nice gesture.
Esperienza fantastica: The temporary exhibition at the moment is amazing; many worldwide famous artists, fascinating works
Esperienza fantastica: A very beautiful and versatile museum in the middle of the old city centre. The collection is nice and for people that aren't that knowledgeble about art, like myself, the different art styles are explained by signs. On the top floor there is an exhibition about the history of Den Bosch, with cool and interactive artifacts. When we visited, there was a temporary photo exhibition about nurses on the IC during COVID, which was impressive to see. Overall, this museum is definitely an educational and culturally enriching activity to visit!
Esperienza fantastica: Really appreciate the effort curators put into the English write-ups - beautifully written. I can't think of a regional museum that positions itself more smartly than Noordbrabants does through its curatorial execution - the Discover Modernism exhibition was organized in such a logical manner via the effective use of space, while allowing the North Brabrant rendering of different schools and styles to be woven in gracefully. While the museum itself doesn't have a large collection of van Gogh's works on display, the van Gogh show was spinned in such a way that the artist's works and upbringing became a vehicle to showcase rural North Brabrant's way of life in the late 19th century. Overall very intellectually engaging. Thank you!
Esperienza fantastica: Museo molto bello. Mi è piaciuta molto la zona della storia di Brabant. Ha anche un bel cortile di campo all'interno.
Esperienza fantastica: Lovely museum to spend a whole day
Esperienza fantastica: One of the great provincial museums in the Netherlands. Especially good in introducing and presenting very interesting contemporary artists to a somewhat larger audience. (In this respect the province of Brabant is very well endowed with at least three stellar museums. This one, the Van Abbe museum in Eindhoven and, last but certainly not least, De Pont museum in Tilburg.) Moreover the location of the museum is spectacular: wonderful building situated in what must be one of Europe's best preserved historic City centers.
Esperienza fantastica: A very nice museum with beautifully composed expositions, always.
Esperienza fantastica: The garden concert was a lovely experience.
Esperienza fantastica: Beautiful location in the centre of Den Bosch, take in art by Dali, Jospin and others...a True Favorite it will be!
Esperienza fantastica: Had fun learning and embracing art.
Esperienza fantastica: #VALUE!
Esperienza fantastica: Beautiful museum. Great van Gogh exhibition.
Esperienza fantastica: Nice selection of art and some vincent van Gogh work. The van Gogh part was very crowded though. I also liked the regional exhibit which are above the van Gogh part.
Esperienza fantastica: Lot of interesting objects to observe in this museum especially the painting. The museum displays seasonal masterpiece from painter all around the world. The paint is so mesmerizing to see. Worth to visit especially if you have museum card
Esperienza fantastica: Den Bosch is a great historic city. Museum is a beautiful piece of architecture. Great exibitions.
Esperienza fantastica: Very nice museum. There was an exhibition about the province of Noord-Braband with very innovative systems that let you chose which information you wanted to display. This way you didn't get flooded with text, but at the same time keeping a high level exhibition.
Esperienza fantastica: This museum in Hertogenbosch is just wonderful....very near the market Square....and don't forget to have an Bossche Bol with coffee or tea there: lovely restaurant...
Esperienza fantastica: Lovely museum with artwork and historic objects. Wheelchair accessible.
Esperienza fantastica: Amazing museum on north brabant's history and the famous local painters. Very informative, and the interactive devices are very helpful.
Esperienza fantastica: The museum has a permanent collection that includes Jan Slijters works. It also features art from present day artists with ties to the region. I visited to see Van Gogh and his Intimi. It was wonderfully curated. I used an audio tour in French along with a French language guidebook. I also viewed the work from the Exhibition Kimono’s. The museum is connected to the Design museum and a restaurant is located on the premises. Lockers are provided free of charge. The inner court yard garden has a lawn and large trees.
Esperienza fantastica: Beautiful museum with Dutch heritage collection, mainly from Brabant area. Paintings from Van Gogh, Sluijters, Vanderheyden, Breughel, Mark Manders and Jan Fabre. All placed in a spacious and lightfull building. You can end your route with coffee and cake. :)
Esperienza fantastica: Great museum! Always very interesting exposition. Today is opening of Jan Slijters expositiin. His paintings are saying got itself...
Esperienza fantastica: Very nice museum, excellent collection. Modern addition is complementary to the historical city. Their Hieronymus Bosch exhibition is better than the private museum in town.
Esperienza fantastica: Very nice museum with loads to see! Very kids friendly with activities for them to participate in with parents. Was a bit crowded today on a Sunday. Be sure to allocate sufficient time for the visit.
Esperienza fantastica: Good museum with a nice variation arts and historic pieces and stories. From Brabant from the middle century, early paintings of Van Gogh and modern art. The exhibitions do change regularly so it is worthwhile to come back.
Esperienza fantastica: My preference is modern and conceptual art. It was a surprise to see it in the old town of Den Bosch. A few paintings by Van Gogh when he lived there. Be sure not to take pics in this section would spend more time next visit.
Esperienza fantastica: Gives also access to Stedelijk Museum. Has a nice garden with restaurant. Collection is rather broad. Varies from classic art to modern art
Esperienza fantastica: Beautiful museum with a fantastic collection of art from a variety of periods. The Kamagurkistan exhibition was great!
Esperienza fantastica: Wonderful China exposition! Very neat museum.
Esperienza fantastica: Must visit! Chinese Journey exhibition was great. Permanent collection is also good, if you would like to learn about the history of Noord Brabant. Once you are there, you should definitely have a drink at their cafe's beautiful garden.
Esperienza fantastica: I just love these kind of local musea situated in a beautiful building. The collection shows paintings of the old Den Bosch, early van Gogh's, a DAF automobile and lot's more.
Esperienza fantastica: A friend and I went to visit the Sigg Collection which was beautiful! We walked from the station to this museum, it's not a long walk and you go through cozy streets to get there. The museum had a lot of Dutch history presented in the most modern ways imaginable (upstairs part)
Esperienza fantastica: Honestly a really cool museum with a very interactive way of displaying the art and information. In terms of art they have a little bit of everything as well as historical artifacts pertinent to the area. I would definitely go again. If I lived in the area I would buy membership.
Esperienza fantastica: Amazing museum with lots of expositions. Art from medieval to modern ages. Beautiful modern art expositions.
Esperienza fantastica: We visited the wonderful exhibition "Claire Morgan, The sound of Silence".
Esperienza fantastica: Very diverse portfolio of art and history, recommend it
Esperienza fantastica: Wonderful museum: paintings, temporary art exhibits, large section of local history. Well done, very interesting
Esperienza fantastica: Beautiful paintings and drawings with way too many people. Being very patient was helpful. It would have been great if the personnel at the museum would have done something to insure the crowd moved along. It was a little annoying that people needed to read the catalog in front of the paintings due to the low light conditions in the room, but due to the age of the paintings I don't know how that could have been helped. The audio visual part: the films of the paintings that enabled you to see details, and also the way the altarpieces came together was truly masterful. What wonderful art! We went to the show twice.
Esperienza fantastica: The exhibition is absolutely awesome .. the research underlying it is thorough and groundbreaking identifying details of Bosch's technique, creativity, and capability; the curator who managed to assemble 19 of 21 known drawings, and 20 of ~32 known paintings for the first time since Bosch's death 500 years ago deserves recognition. THe quality of restoration gives life to paintings that makes you feel like you're seeing them in BOsch's time; and the fact that all of this is accumulated and displayed with excellent lighting and in the very village he lived and executed them in adds an incomparable emotional layer. 6 out of 5 stars!! The only negative: if the museum staff gives you any advance information, get it in writing or they won't honor it.
Esperienza fantastica: We were there for the impressive Jheronimus Bosch exhibition, so we did not see the standard collection. But that must be worthwhile or else there staff would not have been able to set up a world class exhibition like that. The museum is in a nice part of the inner city.
Esperienza fantastica: Intense! The exhibit of Bosch and related works was outstanding. Yes, there were a lot of people, as other raters have mentioned; but for such an exhibit, not unusual. The museum had timed slots for entry, its about an hour to see everything so its pretty well organized. Bosch's works are small and detailed so you need to stand close to really see them and at peak times you may have to wait a couple if minutes at the really important ones. Still a five.
Esperienza fantastica: Great museum now famous for pulling off great Bosch exhibition without owning single Bosch piece themselves. The whole town can be seen as the continuation of the exhibit. Catalogs are sold online - so don't burden yourself with catalog at the museum shop.
Esperienza fantastica: The Bosch exhibition was so much more than I was expecting. The screens showing the detail were an excellent value-added element and encouraged you to see even more in the wonderful art works. It was particularly wonderful to see the sketches. I think the museum missed some good marketing opportunities. For example, the English language catalogues (and other language versions too) were out of stock and I was surprised that more posters or prints were not available. The exhibition is attracting thousands of people each day and it would have been a good opportunity for the museum to raise some revenue. I spoke to various people who were keen to spend some money in the shop but were disappointed. By the way, I found the catalogue on Amazon with another book on the artist.
