🗣️ Museo de San Isidoro: Opinioni
Esperienza fantastica: Very nice and very well maintained we loved it
Esperienza fantastica: We visited the museum on October 7th. The visit was dramatized by the museum guides. Characterized with the clothing of the time, each one embodied a member of the history of León. We loved it; It seemed to us something new, fresh, innovative, it teleports you centuries ago. Something like this should be in more museums and not just at specific times.
Esperienza fantastica: We have been on a dramatized visit to the collegiate church and the San Isidoro museum. Very good experience, with a multitude of data, curiosities, we have found it a super interesting visit and the actors have made us have a great time. Super recommended. I hope they do it continuously.
Esperienza fantastica: Spectacular. A luxury to be able to observe these paintings so closely. Currently 2/3 of the room is closed for restoration or maintenance works, but it is still a "must" visit.
Esperienza fantastica: Spectacular visit. We did the guided tour, the very professional guide. A must if you visit León.
Esperienza fantastica: Romanesque jewel. Worth seeing the Royal Pantheon, the best preserved Romanesque paintings. Just to see them is worth paying the entrance fee. Curious church with heated seats.
Esperienza fantastica: Apart from the Cathedral, the best visit in León. An essential place to soak up the history of this city. Both the crypt, a true wonder, as well as its cloister and the glass of wine from Dña. Urraca, the Holy Grail, make the visit a pleasure for the eyes.
Esperienza fantastica: A building brimming with history, beauty and tradition. Undoubtedly the most appreciated by the Leonese.
Esperienza fantastica: Our private visit to the Collegiate Church of San Isidoro de Leon was incredible. From the first contact by email to the visit itself, it was a pleasure. And it all had to do with our guide Antonio. A historian who loves his profession and the place where he works. His patience, his didactic explanations, the personal anecdotes about his work and above all the enthusiasm with which he showed us the entire artistic ensemble made our visit a unique event. THANKS FROM MY HEART P.D.: do not hesitate to pay more for a private visit to the collegiate church because you are going to enjoy it!
Esperienza fantastica: I liked going to the Sistine Chapel... The life of the Virgin, Passion of Christ and the life of Saint Thomas Aquinas impressive! Then the Pantheon where the twenty three kings rest! I particularly like the Chalice of Doña Urraca. According to some historians, Our Lord Jesus Christ must have drunk from that Chalice. The girls were super friendly. I recommend it to
Esperienza fantastica: It's already the fourth or fifth time I've visited it and it's getting better and better. This time with the restored frescoes of the Chamber of Doña Sancha and, as always, the impressive Royal Pantheon. Everything explained perfectly by the guide Antonio
Esperienza fantastica: Before getting the tickets, keep two things in mind: it is an old building and therefore not adapted for people with disabilities. I have a grade above 75%, I made the visit without problems, but another person with a much lower grade may have problems. If you have mobility problems better call before. Photos cannot be taken. The visit is essential, I do not mess with data, which you can find on the Internet. I have made the complete visit. The guide, a lady with short hair, did not pay attention when she introduced herself, made the visit very interesting and at the same time educational. It lasted an hour and a bit, it became short. We saw the pantheon, several rooms of the building and at the end he explained different aspects of the façade. There is an old man, a beggar, tea opens the door. If you can and this review has been useful to you, give it a coin. Tomorrow you may be the one in need. Cheers
Esperienza fantastica: It is worth visiting the San Isidoro Museum. Very impressive.
Esperienza fantastica: Surprise about the conservation of the paintings, the royal pantheon
Esperienza fantastica: Essential to know the history of León, I recommend the guided tour.
Esperienza fantastica: Highly recommended visit. The guided tour for only 2 euros more (7 euros in total) is 100% worth it. We played with Antonio and the experience has been great. Professionals like him help you better understand how heritage is related to characters and different historical events, so basically you leave wanting to continue learning. Thank you!
Esperienza fantastica: An authentic treasure, do not forget to visit it if you have the opportunity. The pantheon does justice to its name of the Romanesque Sistine Chapel. It is surprising how well preserved it is. And among many other treasures that it houses, without a doubt the holy grail hidden in the calid of Doña Urraca, is the only and best documented one that could be the original of the Last Supper. It is very worth it. We chose the guided tour and they explained everything to us divinely. PS: dogs can enter!!!
Esperienza fantastica: The museum is a part of the collegiate complex of San Isidoro and includes a must-see museum, located in the royal palace of kings Fernando I and Sancha. We can admire in it unique jewels of incalculable value such as the Chalice of Doña Urraca, the Ark of the Relics and the Baeza Banner. In one of its chapels you can see the oldest Romanesque bell in Spain and the famous 7th-century rooster that gives its name to the tower. Highlight
Esperienza fantastica: It is one of the most important Romanesque ensembles in Europe that exceeds a thousand years of history. Since its birth in the 10th century, San Isidoro and its Museum have become a tourist and cultural reference for the city of León.
Esperienza positiva: No ???? Foto consentite!
Esperienza fantastica: A place with a lot of history to tell. Not miss it
Esperienza fantastica: Museum next to the Badilica of San Isidoro, accessed from the Plaza de Santo Martino. Visit in which for a small price of € 5 you can see some incredible frescoes of many centuries old with an incredible conservation and the chalice of Doña Urraca. There is also access to the upper part of the wall. Too bad the library was closed for renovations. A must if you are in Leon, PS: let's see if you take a walk upstairs, it's full of cobwebs
Esperienza fantastica: Imposing the Pantheon of the Kings with those frescoes of so many centuries old. Too bad they don't allow them to be photographed. A must for anyone who goes to León. Also the church is spectacular.
Esperienza fantastica: Considered the Sistine Chapel of Romanesque Art. Romanesque works of the most important in Europe. Located in the Royal Collegiate Church of San Isidoro. The Royal Pantheon stands out, with the frescoes on the ceiling, the Chalice of Doña Urraca and, among many others, the campaign of the famous Rooster. Single price ticket: 5 euros Impressive
Esperienza fantastica: A place of history, impressive, not to miss in this beautiful city.
Esperienza fantastica: Beautiful Church and Museum. Lots of frescoes in very good condition from the 22nd century Exteriors beautiful too!
Esperienza fantastica: What to say, I remembered it from my SM History book, year 1964, and I realized what I saw and studied there, I had it before my eyes. A surprise and at the same time a great memory. Do not miss it.
Esperienza fantastica: Place where Kings and infants were buried for a long time, for example: Doña Urraca and Doña Sancha. The burial crypt has wonderful Romanesque paintings, it is known as the Sistine Chapel, a pity that in order to preserve its conservation, photos cannot be taken.
Esperienza fantastica: #VALUE!
Esperienza fantastica: I have been twice, once two years ago with a guide who seemed like the typical bitter teacher reciting the entire speech from memory, who released all the badge and ale; and yesterday, with a wonderful guide who showed that he was passionate about his work and the subject. He told us about Doña Urraca's chalice and the possibility that it is the Holy Grail, the Romanesque paintings, which are considered to be the Sistine chapel of the Romanesque, are very well preserved and are the originals (usually the originals are transferred to a museum and in the original location put a replica). Very interesting and cheap, € 5 admission with guided tours. I think you can only enter with guided tours, I don't know if now with the theme of the covid, or is it always. It is very worth it, very, highly recommended. For photographers, advise that you cannot take photos, neither with a camera nor a mobile phone.
Esperienza fantastica: The museum consists of several rooms where you cannot take photos, such as the Royal Pantheon, the Chalice room, the Treasury of the Kings, the library and Doña Sancha's chamber, although these last two could not be seen. Otherwise quite interesting.
Esperienza fantastica: A must visit, it is the most important place in the city of León. First for the Romanesque paintings that are preserved, for being a royal pantheon, for having the chalice of Doña Urraca and for being the Cradle of Parliamentarism. Admission is worth it and includes a guided tour. You can only photograph the cloister. Be careful because now the location of the entrance has changed due to the works.
Esperienza fantastica: Another jewel of León. One of the best preserved Romanesque places, such as the old pantheon of the Leonese royalty and the cradle of the birth of parliamentarism. The visit is obligatorily guided. There are quite a few visiting hours. 1 hour long. Cost: 5 euros as of 08/2020. They allowed us to enter with a pet, which is greatly appreciated. They do not allow taking photos except of the cloister. The photo of the pantheon is a photo made of the exterior poster. They are currently remodeling the museum to expand it.
Esperienza fantastica: The pantheon is magnificent. The ceiling frescoes can be said to be the Renaissance Sistine Chapel. I particularly liked the last room of the visit, and I enjoyed the boxes, specifically the one with the hares, which for me represent a magnificent and very detailed work of goldsmithing
Esperienza fantastica: Spectacular. If you go through the Spanish city of León you don't have to miss it. The Pantheon of the Leonese kings is a jewel of the Romanesque and the chalice of Doña Urraca is a real wonder. Together with the Cathedral of León, the Museum of San Isidoro is a must see in León. It is very worth it.
Esperienza fantastica: It has many interesting things, essential the Romanesque paintings (extremely impressive) and the chalice of Doña Urraca (possible chalice of the last supper). In addition to more museum pieces and the building itself. All visits are guided, and we miss free visits, or more time to be able to observe everything they have.
Esperienza fantastica: The place is exceptional with unique Romanesque paintings and some objects of singular value, such as Doña Urraca's chalice. You can only do a guided tour (one hour long) and the explanations are excellent: clear, enjoyable, rigorous ... And everything, admission and guide, for only five euros.
Esperienza fantastica: If you pass through León, visit more than recommended! The chalice of Doña Urraca and the Romanesque paintings of the Royal Pantheon deserve a lot! For something he receives the name of the Sistine Chapel of Spanish Romanesque painting !!!! Almost an hour of very interesting guided tour and only € 5 entrance! Thanks to the guide Enrique Blanco who made the visit much more interesting! Magnificent explanation!
Esperienza fantastica: You can not miss this essential visit to León to visit especially its frescoes on the ceiling. The super friendly guide and everything very well explained in detail and attentive.
Esperienza fantastica: What you find inside is spectacular. The visit is only guided and the guide is absolutely professional and charming. It lasts about 55min and costs 5 e. The last visit at 13 o'clock. Totally recommended
Esperienza fantastica: A fantastic museum, with some beautiful and unique frescoes in the pantheon of the kings. The rooms that can be visited and the tower have real treasures that are worth visiting. Not only doña Urraca's glass, presumably the Holy Grail, the weather vane or the singers are also spectacular.
Esperienza fantastica: Congratulations, Leon. What a wonderful visit. The guides are exceptional and the conservation of the admirable heritage. When Ruth and her partner have made us look at the frescoes that were on our heads, everything has come to life. The legend of the Holy Grail has been exciting. I recommend everyone to visit. Thank you.
Esperienza fantastica: Fantastico
Esperienza fantastica: Simply spectacular... a must if you pass through León
Esperienza fantastica: The English tour was great! Fun and interesting, takes about an hour, big thanks to our guide. Highly recommend it to everyone.
Esperienza fantastica: Library is great.
Esperienza fantastica: Magnificent works of art are exhibited, from the original gilded rooster, the incunabula books and especially the Romanesque frescoes of the pantheon of the kings. A marvel. The guide can be improved, let's say not very nice.
Esperienza fantastica: One of the most beautiful things in the city. This museum is a real gem. The unique option of the guided tour only is very well thought out, it would have been a shame to miss some details, perhaps distracted by the incredible beauty of this museum. The only pity is the impossibility of taking pictures inside.
Esperienza fantastica: Must visit for its frescoes of the Pantheon of the Kings and the history of the Chalice of Mrs. Urraca that studies bring their origin to the Holy Grail.
Esperienza fantastica: Absolutely spectacular, a real gem. The frescoes are wonderful, I was able to see one of a Leonese mastiff. You cannot come to León and not take the guided tour of the museum and pantheon. I thought it was a very cheap price, considering that it is a very professional guided tour. Shocking
