🗣️ Los Angeles County Museum of Art: Opinioni
Esperienza fantastica: The Museum of Contemporary Art is one of the iconic symbols of Los Angeles. I was lucky enough to visit the museum at the time of an event. The visit was free because of the performances of the events, and it was very important to see and enjoy these arts. Visited on Public holiday Wait time Up to 10 min Reservation recommended Yes … More
Esperienza fantastica: Amazing place, be prepared to spend HOURS here. There's so much to see and take in. Really happy that I could be there to see the Korean exhibit- it is AMAZING. Would definitely recommend.
Esperienza fantastica: LACMA is definitely one of the best art museums in the US and certainly one of the very top in LA. I still think, in terms of art, the best museums to visit are LACMA and Norton Simon in Pasadena. It’s hard for me to say anything that’s not already been said about LACMA due to how famous it is and where it sits on Miracle Mile and Museum Row. The exhibits are constantly changing, it’s very well organized, extremely clean, and even though there are a lot of people on the grounds it never feels like any room is too crowded aside from a handful of certain famous pieces perhaps. $20 to enter and parking is provided on grounds although depending on the day and time of your visit you may be able to find street parking close. I have been many times over the years and each time there is always something new to see and it seems they’re always doing some sort of expansion as well. There is a ton of square footage to cover so your visit can be as short or as long as you’d like. Everything is professionally done and informative; I highly recommend to any fan of art, museums, or anyone who wants to explore some of the best things Los Angeles has to offer.
Esperienza fantastica: A well maintained museum with an easy to use ticket booking. I am impressed by their COVID precautions. I would love to revisit when more exhibits become available.
Esperienza fantastica: Proof of vaccination required and checked at entrance. Ok a Monday afternoon, the number of visitors in the museums is not too many and was able to keep social distance. A lot of audio tour can now be listened on personal smartphone. Without using the public device. The racing car art piece is special attractive to kids who likes cars. The last show of the day was 4pm when I visited.
Esperienza fantastica: Great space amazing exhibitions. Visited to see Black American Portraits and it was so worth it. Incredible artists were showcased and the gift shop has great books. Catch this exhibit before it closes!! Mickalene Thomas, Amy Sherald, Kehinde Wiley, Carrie Mae Weems among the legendary work in this show.
Esperienza fantastica: Los Angeleno’s County Museum is beautiful place to enjoy an evening with the family. There’s lots of places to stop and appreciate the art displayed. The park area is great to go on walks or have a picnic and enjoy the shied. The restroom as clean and well maintained as well as the park area.
Esperienza fantastica: What a pleasant surprise on a recent trip to Los Angeles. The exhibition (Black impact on hollywood) was fab and it never seemed congested though busy. Plenty of interactive items that were enjoyed by all ages. There is also a high tech movie theater, - think arc light V2 and observation deck for wonderful photos of the city.
Esperienza fantastica: An iconic location to visit if you are visiting Los Angeles. Just sit and relax, have lunch, enjoy the sunshine, and be sure to stay after dark when the lights come on, museums a few yards away, ss well as the la brea tar pits, and the petersen car museum is a block away, parking is free after 6pm or maybe its 8pm now day or night, go see it!!
Esperienza fantastica: LACMA is an iconic museum in L.A with great exhibits. I definitely recommend for everyone to visit it. There is also nice restaurants outside of the museum in case you want to grab a bite to eat or a glass of wine.
Esperienza fantastica: Beautiful museum. Angelenos can get free admission on certain days of the month. You can see that on LACMA’s website. A nice array of modern, old and very abstract art in can walk through or even stand in. There’s about 3/4 floors of exhibits to look through. We spent about 2 hours. You do still have to wear a mask here but they give you one complimentary.
Esperienza fantastica: Pleasant afternoon visiting the modern and contemporary art. There is a hidden gem on the first floor literally behind closed doors. You will see two sets of old doors on the wall with an attendant nearby. You will be lit in and enter a bit of a time travel. Also, don't miss the live action transportation exhibit.
Esperienza fantastica: I loved all diversity in art. Definitely one of the most memorable museums I have visited. The staff was friendly and the view was amazing. I will be swinging by anytime I’m in LA!
Esperienza fantastica: Free for L.A. County residents, weekdays after 3 pm with valid ID. Otherwise $25 for adults. The exhibits are across two buildings, one has 3 floors (2nd floor is currently under renovation). Exhibits are quite eclectic: fashionable dresses, classic paintings, modern paintings, artifacts, and sculptures. You'll see Picasso's next to Diego Rivera next to Andy Warhol
Esperienza fantastica: enjoyed the richard serra steel sculpture very much... i am used to the circular style but the one here snakes about the room... the Colombia archeologicsl objects in gold/copper were really nice... and the alecander mcqueen fashion exhibit was nice too... there were many other intetesting items. the museum staff was very helpful at all times.
Esperienza fantastica: I haven't been in here for awhile but on my recent visit I had an amazing time. I was reminded of how much I enjoy coming to Lacma. The atmosphere is so relaxing and peaceful. I saw the latest Barbara Kruger exhibit which was an amazing experience. I was so impressed how they managed to accommodate all her large scale works. The collections they have for modern art is very decent. I do wish they'd bring back more of John Baldassari's work. But I'm hoping that'll comeback once the new building is done. Regardless, it's a great museum and is a lovely way to spend your day at.
Esperienza fantastica: Excellent place to visit at night, we went here in a rather hurried schedule so could not devote to it, the time it deserved. The lights are pretty cool. La La Land feels, go urban lights! Pro tip: do check out a few pics from insta or Google reviews before you click and post yours on the Gram! Many cool angles can be captured
Esperienza fantastica: I remember going to LACMA in high school and it was okay. Going as an adult, I have a greater appreciation for all of the exhibits, especially the film exhibits. There is so much to do and see! I love being able to stand feet away from actual Star Wars props, Academy Awards, handwritten scripts, and so much more. Plan to spend a few hours here!
Esperienza fantastica: If you aren’t really a fan of art and architecture…. I guarantee you’ll become one after visiting this museum. A place where art is used to create effects, express ideas, and emotions….. show structures and infrastructures. It showcases the presence of art in every aspect of our lives….whether it’s clothing, utensils, roadways, cinema, speech, paintings, monuments…etc. It makes you realize how art is present in EVERY aspect of our lives…. And how, without art/architecture…. Nothing really was possible. Los Angeles county residents get free entry during certain hours, and parking was $18.
Esperienza fantastica: Great stop for a date night or to just unwind. There are food options available on site so don't be afraid to come an hour or so before your scheduled time to grab a bite to eat. Parking is available in the deck for a fee.
Esperienza fantastica: By far the biggest AND the best contemporary art gallery in LA. The building itself is an architectural masterpiece and the curating is second to none with fantastic shows on rotation alongside an impressive permanent collection. Can get mega busy on the weekends so defo worth booking ahead.
Esperienza fantastica: Bellissimo.
Altamente raccomandato!
Esperienza fantastica: An awesome way to spend an evening or date night. It’s a small museum but i really entrenched myself in the exhibits and it took me 3 1/2 to four hours. But I had time to kill and normally it would take less. All of the exhibits are awesome and I was surprised by the inclusion of an exhibit by Barbara Kruger, I felt this museum doesn’t fit her theme. Nevertheless, this is a must visit in LA even if you have only the slightest interest in art. LA county residents get in free.
Esperienza fantastica: One of the highlights of any visit to Los Angeles, LACMA is an excellent curator of modern art. You start of the third floor with their permanent collection of modern art and then travel down to floors two and one with their special exhibits, each unique and interesting. More special exhibits are on display in the second building. Don't miss the Ai Weiwei sculpture of the Chinese zodiac, the Levitated Mass sculpture, and Urban Lights (best experienced at night) outside as well. You have to purchase tickets in advance on the website. They do not sell them on site any more unless you are a reciprocal member or from outside the US.
Esperienza fantastica: Currently LACMA is undergoing massive rebuilding that is to be completed in 2024 but the museums is still worth a visit in the interim. You need to book tickets in advance on the internet. I like to start my visit with a Sunny and yummy meal at Ray’s restaurant in the plaza. They museum is particularly agressive about rotating its collection so each visit is a joyous adventure. I love it here and never miss an opportunity to visit!
Esperienza fantastica: This was on my bucket list. I’m so glad I was able to see this in person. The formation of the lights satisfied my OCD.. I love abstract art.. the beauty of free expression. With so much Darkness in life, take me to the lights isn’t a death sentence here. It’s giving vintage beauty. I wish I could’ve gotten night pictures also. The palm trees are a beautiful touch. I’ve seen people pull up and park to take pictures but it’s plenty of meter parking on the streets near by. We visited on a Sunday and didn’t have to pay the meter. The weather was nice and breezy.
Esperienza fantastica: A pretty cool lights display! This lights art installation is amazing and worth the visit to this place. It really lights up our spirits too! Only drawback is that you can never take a picture without any people walking amongst these lights, since this place is super popular and will have tons of people visiting it at any time of the day. But the best time to see this grandeur is after dark, once the lights are on and shining bright!!Pleasant afternoon visiting the modern and contemporary art. There is a hidden gem on the first floor literally behind closed doors. You will see two sets of old doors on the wall with an attendant nearby. You will be lit in and enter a bit of a time travel. I would love to revisit when more exhibits become available.Such a awesome experience! 2 side with one side having multiple.floors. suggest usi g the escalator to go to the top.floor and work way down. Staff was awesome in explaining some.of the art and ways to appreciate it more. It's connected to the academy museum but that's a separate charge. Parking is a little steep but it's the city. Buy the tickets online as you have to reserve a time slot.
Esperienza fantastica: #VALUE!
Esperienza fantastica: Unmissable! Impeccable as always! Must buy tickets in advance, and bring covid vaccines certificate. Be prepared to spend 4+ hours here, starting from top to bottom. The store was a little disappointing, too small and crowded. I love museum stores, yet missed this one in account of the huge line!
Esperienza fantastica: Fantastic! The exhibition of Yoshitomo Nara is so thorough and such a feast to eyes. You can see not only the never-before-exhibited idea sketches, sculptures but also his latest painting that is done in 2020. Just a bit lost looking for the entrance to the museum after having tickets checked since the exit is just next to the escalator and no one/clear sign telling me where I should head to.
Esperienza fantastica: We went to see the Obama Potrait exhibit. Also saw the African American Photographer tour as well. Parking lot is minimum & costs $18-20. They did have Parking attendants, you can leave your keys with. Wefinally found them after a couple of laps around the garage ( I suggest they wear Bright vests lol) Best bet for Us is to Lyft/ Uber next time VACCINATED CARD Needed & Masks! Good Covid Protocol Used. Helpful & Friendly Staff! Loved the Exhibits! Check it our before it leaves.
Esperienza fantastica: The first time was going, and it was for the Studio Ghibli exhibit. It's a beautiful place. There weren't any lines, but if there were, they were well prepared for it. I checked out a couple of other rooms, such as the backdrop exhibit, which was interesting, and I think I went to the main exhibit that was full of the academy associated things. All in all, a very welcomed experience. I suggest going for sure.

Esperienza fantastica: The large number of Picasso's works, and above all, the exhibition of Yoshitomo Nara, who used all the floors, was a masterpiece. When I visited, it was just on display for the Black American Portrait. Especially the work depicting Mr. Obama was wonderful. Currently, due to the influence of covid19, you cannot enter without a vaccination certificate.
Esperienza fantastica: After the tar pits, we went next door to LACMA, which I personally enjoyed more than the tar pits. This museum was filled with incredible artwork, new and old. I personally didn’t take photos of the art, or at least not very many, but I did take some photos in some of the larger exhibits. A few of them wound up being my favorite photos of the trip! Since I don’t have very many photos of the wonderful artwork in this museum, I can only encourage you to go in and check it out for yourself! This museum is vast, beautiful, and filled with amazing pieces. At the very least, you should go there so that you can ride the enormous elevator.
