🗣️ Northern Maritime Museum: Opinioni
Esperienza fantastica: A fine place. Partially closed.
Esperienza fantastica: A very wonderful collection located in an old building. I suggest you visit.
Esperienza fantastica: Interesting exhibitions in a beautiful building
Esperienza fantastica: Incredibile, deve visitare il museo. Ci sono così tante informazioni sulla schiavitù e sono stato commosso dalla collezione e dalle storie. Sempre più persone dovrebbero visitare questo, ne vale la pena.
Esperienza fantastica: Very interesting for people with an interest in old ships. Recommended!!
Esperienza fantastica: Very nice and bigger than I expected
Esperienza fantastica: Beautiful building and excellent exhibitions. The renovated museum will be an asset to Groningen residents and tourists. Co-organizer of Winterwelvaart, only one day unfortunately. Very interesting lecture to attend.
Esperienza fantastica: I liked it very much!
Esperienza fantastica: Looks very small from the outside but is super large, beautiful collection about the history of shipping in the Northern Netherlands
Esperienza fantastica: It smelled of my childhood, as a sailor's daughter! Lovely stroll through the old building, and viewed the beautiful exhibition. Worth the effort!
Esperienza fantastica: It's a beautiful museum, even if you're not into ships and boats. The building itself is well worth a visit.
Esperienza fantastica: Wonderful collection housed in two old houses, worth the visit alone. €4.50 entry for seniors. A must visit when in Groningen!!
Esperienza fantastica: A nice museum if you like shipping traffic, there the history is nicely shown how it used to be. The pictures hanging there tell a story.
Esperienza fantastica: Small-scale but very nice museum, a combination about shipping but also local history of the city and the region.
Esperienza fantastica: I didn't expect this museum to be so much fun. Quite big, lots of information. Not easily accessible for people with limited mobility.
Esperienza fantastica: A very nice and informative museum which is situated in a fantastic old building and which can be reached through a curious view in the middle of a street. Top of the bill was a conversation with a super nice sweet enthusiastic employee who was preparing a new exhibition. She also said that the museum will be renamed in the future and will also focus on old Groningen, including the fantastically beautiful old building in which the museum is located. Highly recommended when you visit Groningen.
Esperienza fantastica: The exhibition is super interesting, unexpectedly many exhibits. The house in which the museum is located is at least as impressive. Worth seeing!
Esperienza fantastica: A great museum to visit. Perhaps it would have been more interesting for me if the signs had also been in English, but it is understandable that it was not the case. Otherwise an Audio tour or something similar would be a great addition. Regardless of the minor issues I faced, it was great to see the museum either way, and they have a website that gives details on some of the pieces.
Esperienza fantastica: Small is beautiful. Ideal for children. Fine detective booklet with the possibility to read but also with a picture of what you are looking for. Our boys (8+) really enjoyed it. Up and down the stairs also made the detective feeling stronger. Therefore unfortunately not suitable for the disabled. We have skipped the temporary exhibition in the basement on the theme of the sea and death. Seemed less suitable for the boys.
Esperienza fantastica: There is a sign at the cash register with a webpage of the museum. You can read extra information per room
Esperienza fantastica: Interesting museum about shipping. There is a lot to marvel at on a tour of the old houses. Multi-lingual signage would have been nice, but it was easy to get by.
Esperienza fantastica: I recommend everyone to visit. A huge number of exhibits, with descriptions of local life and navigation.
Esperienza fantastica: Thr museum goes in to great detail, especially in regards to the old woodworking processes. It can be seen in about an hour and doesn't cost much.
Esperienza fantastica: I don't know much about ships but I still liked it. Many details about that kind of things, which would be even more interesting for those that know about that kind of things.
Esperienza fantastica: In the middle of the city, in a small side street, is the Northern Maritime Museum. The museum is located in one of the oldest buildings in Groningen and this in itself is worth a visit (especially the top floor is beautiful). The collection provides an overview of shipping in the North of the Netherlands, from old excavated fishing boats, whaling to the present, ending at a beautiful full wheelhouse saved from a wrecked cargo ship. Wonderful small museum.
Esperienza fantastica: Located in beautiful medieval house in the city center. Great to learn about local history and great for kids.
Esperienza fantastica: A gigantic exhibition spread over two buildings and three floors. Very friendly reception by the lady at the cash register. Should you look at yourself when you are in Groningen and have a little time. Great.
Esperienza fantastica: totally awesome place if u like ships
Esperienza fantastica: Lovely building and walk through Dutch naval history. Needs more than 1 visit and more information in English.
Esperienza fantastica: Great museum if you like boats and or shipping. There is a nice route through a couple of centuries-old buildings that you regularly do not know where you are. There is also so much to see. You have to love the smell of old rope and diesel. Personally finds this much better than the Groningen museum. And worth a visit for the old building alone
Esperienza fantastica: Nice overview of shipping for the Northern Netherlands from the Bronze Age to the present. Housed in 3 medieval buildings. Special attention to the VOC and whaling. Top notch!
Esperienza fantastica: The maritime museum is very worth seeing
Esperienza fantastica: cute littlet museum. no English signs.
Esperienza fantastica: Nice if you like this sort of place.
Esperienza fantastica: Beautiful.
Esperienza fantastica: Amazing museum. It has a great setup and alot of awesome pieces of history
Esperienza fantastica: Very nice. Not only the exhibits of the museum, but also the building itself left a great impression.
Esperienza fantastica: A small but very interesting museum
Esperienza fantastica: Very interesting and well organized museum!
Esperienza fantastica: I visit a museum every week and travel all over the country for that. Every museum has something to offer me. Usually a visit of 2 hours is sufficient, but you have museums where you can not get bored. This certainly applies to the Northern Maritime Museum. No fewer than 18 rooms in two centuries-old, beautifully restored buildings show our shipping history in the North. The museum shows a complete overview of shipping through the ages with extra attention to the glorious years of the VOC and whaling. As soon as you enter the museum you can smell oil. Right next to the entrance is a room with real, antique ship engines. They were once powered by steam, now by electricity. Mighty to see them in action. As mentioned, there is a lot to see and experience in the museum. This museum is also fun for children. But the buildings in which the museum is housed are also very beautiful. The beautiful fireplaces are striking. The very modest entrance fee is also striking. In short, I highly recommend this museum.
Esperienza fantastica: Good historical museum about British Maritime.
Esperienza fantastica: A very beautiful museum! I recommend!
Esperienza fantastica: Nice, interesting museum with a nice interactive journey for kids as well
Esperienza fantastica: Beautiful, extensive museum in an impressive building, it is much larger than it seems at first!
Esperienza fantastica: History of the city and maritime
Esperienza fantastica: Do you Like Boats Ships and marine culture This cool museum has itall about the Dutch Maritime History Fun and interesting exhibitions, and loads of items to touch and explore And it's all set in one of the oldest buildings in Groningen They also have other stuff then boatsI highly recommend you to go here
