Esperienza fantastica: Very complete and very interesting museum. I loved.

Esperienza fantastica: It is recommended not to miss this museum for those who like shipping and seafaring. There are many models of ships on display from the beginning to the present day...I see that many people have been deceived by the proximity of the two museums. Of course we watched it too and really liked it. Unfortunately, I don't have a photo of it, because my partner took photos there.

Esperienza fantastica: In Ferrol, two museums dedicated to Naval History and Naval Construction. Even if you don't like museums, I'm sure they will catch your attention. To spend a pleasant moment and with many curiosities to discover. Also to take shelter for a little while if you happen to have a rainy day in Ferrol... which could be... Look at the neoclassical style building, the architecture of Ferrol is one of the good reasons to visit this city.

Esperienza fantastica: Spectacular. A good explanation of the history of shipbuilding techniques. The very clear and didactic panels and the interesting pieces. The remains of the Magdalena a jewel. A must visit in Ferrol next to the Naval.

Esperienza fantastica: It was amazing, we went on a Tuesday because it was closed on Monday. Admission is free and it is worth seeing whether you are from Ferrol/Galicia or if you come from abroad.

Esperienza fantastica: I visited this museum and I can say that I learned a lot about Spanish navigation and its history. A very well stocked museum, with all kinds of objects that help to understand the finning of sailing. Very educational, I recommend it if you pass through Ferrol, a beautiful city.

Rosa Guijo 1 year ago

Esperienza fantastica: We had a little confusion because you enter through the same door as the shipbuilding museum. We went on a Saturday when there is no guided tour, despite that at the exit a volunteer kindly offered to tell us anecdotes and stories about the museum, something that pleased us. The museum is 100% recommendable for its content and the friendliness of the staff, it is also free.

Esperienza fantastica: Awesome!!!! I went with my daughter and 2 people arrived with a guide who was a ship commander, who invited us to join us and we were very happy with his explanations about the museum and its anecdotes. Many thanks to the encyclopedia of the army in flesh and blood. Very kind, 100% recommended museum, and even more so if he is there..... I'll be back!!

Esperienza fantastica: Spectacular museum that we have in Spain, envy of any country that has a naval history. As a great power, we have to be proud of this museum. We visited it on a Sunday, it was free, they explained it to us very well and were very kind. We visited with children. Brilliant.

Esperienza fantastica: Well, whoever comes to Ferrol and does not visit this museum is going to miss a spectacular museum, and those who like history will need two days to be able to see it quietly and soak up everything it offers. Very highly recommended and above, free

Esperienza fantastica: Very interesting museum. Quite large for the size of the city and free. The girl at the entrance is very nice. With the current situation the toilets are closed. Right next to it is the Shipbuilding Museum, but when I went it was closed, so I don't know if it's worth it.

Carlos Gonzalez 2 years ago

Esperienza fantastica: Worth. The one for the army is free and the one for construction costs € 2, € 1 for people over 60 years of age and free for the disabled or those with a disability. Do not miss it.

Esperienza fantastica: It is a historical building, very well preserved. The interior exhibits are very varied in themes and historical periods, with good explanations and dioramas of some historical events. In my opinion, the model ships are most spectacular. Outside, the collection of anchors of different types and periods stands out.

Esperienza fantastica: Incredible. Highly recommended. Also say that it is completely free. Living history of our recent and ancient navy. Anchors, torpedoes, cannons, howitzers, cooking utensils and daily life on board. Incredible models Pretty friendly and attentive people. The only problem is that there are two floors and the second one is not adapted for wheelchairs. Highly recommended.

Esperienza fantastica: Visited several times. Surprising the change of exposure, to see more carefully, for the amount of interesting documentation, rooms very well set. Exciting to see exposed furniture of Minador Tritón linked to my late husband. I only have words of admiration. Unbeatable My congratulations to all those who have participated in its implementation

I recommend it.

Esperienza fantastica: Spectacular place to take your family, partner or friends. It is the first time I have visited this Naval Museum, although I had heard about it and I have to say that I loved it, I would visit it again. They have many different rooms and when you enter you get lost with everything that is there. Admission is free but closes early as they only open at certain hours, inside they have a souvenir shop. Next to it is the other Naval Museum of Construction that has the longest hours but you have to pay entrance. As soon as you enter, you find the different anchors that the different models of ships were carrying, amazing! I never thought that this Museum housed so much history, I was amazed. They have some models recreated with such realism that you can spend minutes and hours seeing every detail of the boats and heavy ships of our ancestors and today. There are some huge scale model ships that will surprise you. It has 2 floors where you will get tired of walking and each room that you enter is a recreated experience or a new world. They have a room dedicated exclusively to the discovery of Christopher Columbus that I really liked, with all the belongings and tools that they carried at that time as well as the 3 wooden caravels of the conquest, the Pinta, the Niña and the Santa María. Beautiful. In another room that I liked a lot, it was also the one with the precision instrumentation that they used to mark on the maps, with compass, rulers and gadgets that will leave you with your mouth open, the Captain's cabin recreated as the reality of those seculums and a room where they keep the torpedoes and missiles, spectacular !!!. I recommend it 101%, believe me; It will not disappoint you and you will repeat the experience as long as you like these things as I do, but I would be wasting your time and knowing a little history of what your ancestors have done, it never hurts to learn and know something new.

Esperienza fantastica: Very rich museum, very well organized, clean and maintained. For those who like naval history this place is perfect! It has several wonderful models from different eras, accessories, maps and even a full-size ship deck. I loved! I do not know if it is free, but I went on a Saturday and did not pay admission. I highly recommend this place!
