Our House Amsterdam

Hands down, this was one of the coolest experiences that my husband and I had during our latest trip to Amsterdam. Whether you are a fan of house/electronic music or just a music fan in general, this is your place to go. We will definitely be going back the next time we’re in Amsterdam.

Epic tour. Superb host! The enthusiasm and drive can only be achieve by sheer passion, nothing more. You will be taken back to the genesis of how the music all started. You’ll get history lessons on some of the famous artists and the hardware they first used. You can even play around with hardware and make your own beats, learn about the different cultures and festivals of music. It’s just simply amazing. Very glad my wife and I didn’t skip this. Highly recommended when your in Amsterdam. Looking forward to returning again!

Very interactive experience with fun presentations. You get to learn how to mix your own music and check out various tools/equipment used throughout the timeline of electronic music. At the end you can enjoy a small dance party with your group while you're taken through all the different types of electronic music of each decade

This isn't your typical exhibition hall, this goes above and beyond. Be ready for a profoundly captivating visual, strong, intelligent experience and lower yourself into the historical backdrop of house music. I had goosebumps during the preshow and we had a smaller than normal rave toward the end. This was composed during the pandemic, this is your best next elective for clubbing and you learn something at the same time! Incredible experience and we had loads of tomfoolery! The historical center offers wonderful experiences throughout the entire existence of electronic dance music and is outfitted with the most recent 4D-sound innovation. The intuitive visit takes you through the entire extent of dance music and the tomfoolery part is that you can really attempt to learn it yourself! We will return a subsequent time!

This place is fantastic! Really well thought through exhibits, lovely staff (who are great for a chat!) excellent presentation and of course Jack the house master himself who brings a lot of life and fun to the experience. I had a great time playing with the "worlds largest sequencer" and found the exhibits very interesting. I only wish the time inside could be a bit longer as there is a lot to get through. Me and my partner enjoyed the mini-rave at the end... (although a lot of the other geusts seemed dumbfounded.... lol!)... respect to Jack for keeping the energy alive!! Overall, this museum is a really neat concept and well executed. I would love to visit again sometime

This place provides an excellent history of house music that dates back from the 70s to what it is today. As a fan of EDM, the museum gives a very satisfying experience of being at a rave with a touch of a typical museum of history. I highly recommend this place even if you're not a fan of this kind of music, because it provides the non-fan a better understanding on how house music is very connected to today's main stream music. I would give this place 6 stars if I could!

I had an amazing time at Our House & I would highly recommend it to everyone in Amsterdam, whether you love EDM or not! The production quality was fantastic — they had noise canceling headphones at the interactive exhibits, vibrant LED screens, and a 4D immersive experience at the end. Staff members were enthusiastic and willing to help or answer questions throughout the experience which was a nice added touch. From the other reviews it sounds like more exhibits are being added soon, can’t wait to see them next time I’m in town! I think more detailed information will be a welcomed improvement.

Our House museum was one of the highlights during my time in Amsterdam! The interactive exhibits and artifacts from EDM’s iconic history really blew my mind! I loved it here and would visit again in a heartbeat

There are big stupid things you can do in Amsterdam. Not coming here is one of them.

Our House is THE museum to visit in Amsterdam. I went with a few of my friends, and we had a fantastic time! I learned so much about the history and culture of EDM, and my appreciation for the music grew immensely. It is interactive, informational, and immensely fun! Thanks for all those who helped put it together. The EDM community applauds you!

Absolutely loved my visit today, would give way more stars if I could. Great addition you need to add to your trip if you love house music- will certainly return again and happily spend most of the day at the experience. Lots to see and do, fantastic immersive way to learn about all things house. Would have loved to have longer for the session it absolutely flew by.

Great mix of the history of dance music and learning how it's made (including with some hands on games). I could go back again and again and would still have loads to do. Looking forward to when their online shop opens as they didn't have the jumper I wanted in my size

visited the exhibition with my two grown up kids, and we loved it. The exhibition covers the history of electronic music - we learned a lot, including about its origins in Chicago and Detroit. The tracks they used at all the (interactive) exhibitions were excellent, we felt like we spent 90minutes in a club!

Really really enjoyed it! The museum is one of a kind - literally the first ever EDM museum. The exhibition is very interactive, you can learn about the history and genres of house/EDM music and is a must for music lovers! The shop with merch/books etc. is amazing and you can really tell that the people behind "Our House" put a lot of effort and love into it!

What an amazing experience!! Totally blown away by the intro, 4D-ending and everything in between. Great interactive exhibitions throughout the venue. Great vibe and you'll leave the place finding yourself searching for festival tickets on your phone!
