Historic and beautiful place

A branch of the Frans Halsmuseum in this location mainly shows modern art. Every so often there is a new exhibition. Staff is very helpful and welcoming.

A very nice place to stay.

Location Hal has been really nice to visit for 3 years, in between, with your museum pass. Ticket eur 16 is a lot for Hal, but you can also do Hof. Nowadays there is also more attention for modern art...of course always against the old art.

Another surprising exhibition "May it also be beautiful?" more interesting and varied than John Constable in Teylers

This separate location of the Franshalsmuseum has its own program, mostly contemporary or art from the near past. Now, until January 10, 2021, there is a particularly beautiful exhibition about Haarlem impressionists and realists. Which certainly deserves five stars.

Lots of beauty and good themes in this museum, it is definitely worth a visit. An additional advantage is that there are rarely lines at the door and it is not so busy inside that you cannot enjoy all the beauty in a relaxed manner.

Always nice to walk around in this great museum among the Haarlem artists from the 17th century. You cannot miss the annual "museum in bloom": a feast for the eyes and the nose.

Have! This Frans Hals museum is a gem, placed on the large square 'Groote Markt'

Very beautiful paintings, nice location of old houses and meat hall transformed into a museum. Fresh young staff, large room downstairs and upstairs with a separate niche for relaxing and a 'hub' where you can 'participate', perform activities, fun.

Nice museum with pleasant atmosphere. You should not miss the intro video in the beginning! Very well done. Nice staff too.

Beautifully situated in this historic building, the annex of the Frans Hals museum. Nice place on the big market in the heart of Haarlem. A visit is very rewarding for young and old.

Although small, an excellent exhibition A global table. Amazing social sculpture Exchange values on the table. I was honoured to meet the artist Shelley Sacks whom explained the making of. The dialogue with visitors who where invited to sit around the table was interesting and enriching. I will make sure this social art work will travel to Belgium, preferably to Leuven.

See the current show with video works by Patricia Kaersenhout and an installation by Shelley Sacks, among others. A powerful, moving and politically apposite exhibition.

Interesting small museum with often fascinating exhibitions ..

Nice mix of new and older modern art. Just check in advance what the offer is. If you have a museum card, that is of course less important.
