Remarkable motor vehicle museum. Huge, so allow 3-4 hours at least to enjoy the vehicles. Massive range of cars and bikes, covering innovation over the decades. A must-see attraction, regardless of whether you love cars - it's really interesting, with something for everyone.
One of the most interesting museums regarding cars. Check the schedule because at 17:00 they are closing
Wow. An extensive collection built up over many years with information in English and Dutch. Tracing the history of the motor car. Art and design on wheels. I spent about 3 hours going through the museum but could have taken longer. The purpose built premises flows well, exhibits are well presented and there is an excellent cafe. It’s not just cars there are also paintings/ prints and other memorabilia. Plenty of parking. Whether you are interested in cars if not this is an excellent day out.
Very beautiful museum, the collection (which is tremendous, you can easily spend a few hours) as well as the architecture. Restaurant is ok.
It's cars cars cars. Never saw so many old-timer and custom cars in one place. There is one plane on display and a few motorcycles but that is just a side note. Currently (until September 4th) there is "F1 Legends" with 7 antique and original race cars from champs like Fangio. If you visit purely for this exhibition, you'll miss the true heart of the permanent exhibition. The museum is quite large and has multiple racing cars and their history on offer. If you really want to go to the nitty gritty, 3-4hrs quickly go by. Whatever your pace, you end up in a beautifully replicated Dutch market square with real shopping displays. You can buy typical Dutch 20th century candy (f.e. "real" liquorice), do this before leaving the square, it's the only place! Last but not least: the museum shop. The items for sale are quite pricey (70€ for a poloshirt) but it's the real thing and official team apparel, quality included. No Chinese knock-offs. It is wise to decide beforehand if you are willing to splash your cash because once in the shop it takes great resolve to walk away!
Amazing. Liked the special for the F1, but also amazing the "standard" museum. Definitely worth a visit. There are historical vehicles, amazing reconstructions, real used racing cars, concept cars and even more. It's possible to enter with the Dutch museum card
One of the best automotive museum I've ever been to. Great collection of vehicles from 1800s. Good piece of history. Loved my time here. You will get to see vintage cars from movies and cars owned by famous personalities. Loved it.
One of the best museums in The Hague.. you need at least 2 hours to visit this and if you love cars, you would need more time.. Don’t miss it
Excellent venue for a work event. Much praise and thanks to the historian that managed to squeeze in a 4 hour tour into around 90 minutes. Food was lovely also.
One of the best car collections out there. The design of the building is amazing too.
An absolutely amazing museum. The building itself is very impressive from the outside, and once you step inside you are treated with some fascinating cars, tracing the history of of the automobile. Apart from the extensive collection of cars, there is also art and memorabilia that are worth seeing. The cafe is also beautiful and has good food. Definitely worth a visit if you're interested in cars and give yourself at least three hours (I spent over four).
The number 1, best Motor Car museum I've ever visited in my 55 years. Such an amazing array of vehicle from the 19th century through to the 21st century.
Offers a vibrant collection of cars. Storytelling style explaining the history associated with each car! Definitely recommend
A lot of very old cars but they also have some newer Le mans and other race cars which I found extremely cool. Very nice building as well, a good museum overall.
Great collection of cars and vehicles. I was in the museum for nearly three hours and still had could have taken longer. Very well presented and can highly recommend.
A must see for petrolheads. Impressive collection of beautiful automobiles showing the entire history.
Amazing museum! Loved it! Highly recommended to anyone enthusiastic about cars history, or tech history in general.
Interesting exhibition, expect to spend 2+ hours. Nice cafe at the end of it.
Amazingly rich collection, in a nice building, with proper spacing. Not just cars, but anything car related, not just for car enthusiasts. Hard to make it in two hours, I would rather plan three. Dutch museumcard is accepted, but the parking is seven euros. Getting close to the closing hours it was impossible to get the attention of the waiters, so we gave up on the restaurant, although it looked nice.
Automobile Museum with quite many cars, from the beginning of the automobiles era, to present time. Takes at least 2hrs to watch each exponate properly. Some pieces are extremely rare !! Mercedes-Benz 500K Spezial Roadster Packard 840 Deluxe Sport Phaeton Hispano-Suiza H6B Dual Phaeton
Amazing show. Huge amount of money spent for a unique collection of cars the order of display was a bit fuzzy to me, the ticket 2021 costs 16euros with NO museum card (they do NOT accept it!), but I must say it's totally worth it. Parking lot available, and if you have an old old car you can park it outside, in front, in total display! Loads of loud kiddos but if you are not bothered it's all right. Bar at the end/beginning always kinda full, better to book in advance. The entire tour took us around 2 hours. It's huuuge.
This is a huge museum and any car lover should visit this once in their life. I have never seen this many beautiful cars in one place. The information they add about all the cars is a big plus. Will definitely go back!
Great museum for car lovers, Good Restaurant, Car Parking in underground with a lot of parking spots, Friendly staffs, Free with museumkaart, Wheel-chair friendly. Not a kid friendly ( < 5 years old ) as they won't find any playing stuffs anywhere. In each floor, there are a lot of history to ready with and you would be amazed when you read about each and every car of those days. I would definitely go again. You should start from second floor to start the journey with vehicles with horses to slowly see how it was getting upgraded from 1600s to 2000.
An amazing and surprising collection of rare vehicles, ranging from all decades to types of engine to manufacturer and all throughout. A highle recommendable experience not only for car lovers but also for admirers of human ingenuity.
CAR Lovers. Go for it. It will make your day. Well maintained museum with great collection of cars. You need to start from 2nd floor and come down to have a time travel and evolution of motor industry (specially 4 wheelers). It has a under ground car park for 6eur. It has a small cafe inside for quick bites and beer. Parking is just out side the museum for smooth Wheel chair access to museum. It takes atleast 3 hours to do a decent tour of the museum. For car lovers, you can easily spend the entire day. Accessible by museum card. No prior reservation required.
Somehow this museum turned me into an old car enthusiast Absolutely amazing collection! From horse buggies to Elvis' Cadillac, to cars from The Godfather, to Sreve McQueen's Baja, they have it all. Every room we went to made my jaw drop. We spent so much time here, so many floors and rooms, all filled with different vehicles that you absolutely must see.
Unexpectedly different car, and related, museum meticulously presented in a bespoke building on manicured grounds. Perdect for the whole family. Easily accessible, spacious and unobtrusively staffed ready to help. We visited with an infant in a pram and a toddler and it was still enjoyable. There was even a quiet nook to feed the littlest one. The collection is amazing and ranges from artworks/games to statues and 300 years old coaches. Of course there are vehicles but they are the most eclectic and unique examples. Many are one of a kind or unrestored pieces of automotive history. From the 19th century to the 1960s (most from before 1940s). Cars I never knew existed present tastefully and given the room and background they deserve. I cannot think of a better way to spend a few hours. Certainly worth a second or third look. Insider tip: bring a car that is 40 years old or more and you can park in front of the entrance for free!
Very exciting to take a tour among these old cars. You will need minimum 3-4 hours to see everything. If you want to read every information and see every little thing, it can be easily a whole day program. Information is available in Dutch and English too. I'm amazed. Thank you Louwman Museum for the experience. :)
