So nice place! Very interesting museum. beautiful and spacious halls, interesting paintings, and the child really liked it, and that already means something
This is a lot of fun. We had a great time. Modern art tends to be funky and weird but set aside any preconceived notions and just enjoy it. This is right next door to the Kimbell Museum which is a more traditional museum and collection. We saw both museums in one day and it was very rewarding. The Modern Art museum has free admission on Fridays.
...before any TV series or movies, bring your family, friends, to experience the Modern Art Museum...just the arquitecture is worth the entrance and then you watch art and exhibitions...
We went on 1/2 priced Sunday. Throughly enjoyed that kiddos under 18 are free. We really really loved the museum and all the wonderful artwork they had
My husband and I were looking for a bite to eat before heading to an event at Dickie's Arena. Of course I searched best food near me and I found a gem! Literally this cafe is tucked away inside the Art Museum and did not disappoint. We shared a burger and added a fried egg and bacon. It was sooo good and even a half was filling. The view of sculptures and pond from the Museum was the cherry on top!
Peaceful and beautiful museum with ample and easy parking. Free on fridays and has a beautiful restaurant with view. Love the different exhibitions too.
Ended up staying for hours! This museum us amazing and the whole area is so worth visiting. I love this place and it was literally across the street from the hotel where I was staying while in FW. Definitely a must see it in person.
Great Modern Art Museum. Yhe reflection pool makes the location even more charming. It has half price admission on Sunday.
Absolutely loved MoMa! I wish there were more of Kaws, perhaps also adding Yayoi Kusama & Daniel Arsham. And widening the variety of gift shop
The resent show, Women Painting Women at the Modern was amazing. I really enjoy visiting the Modern. I try to go at least a few times a year. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. Fridays is admission free for the budget minded. I've eaten at the cafe and really enjoyed myself. It makes for a great afternoon for you and your family.
I love the Modern Museum! They have some fantastic traveling exhibits and the rest of the art is amazing too!

Best price of free!! Love that it's no cost. It's a great activity to take the kids to esp during the summer. The exhibits are great and the museum is so clean.
Art films are my favorite genre after biopics making Magnolia at the Modern one of my favorite ways to spend the rare, unscheduled afternoon. There's something so beautifully American about a cool, dark theater on a blazing hot day.
really great museum, and my favorite one in texas. i went to the “women painting women” and while i understand why some people are critical of how graphic it is, there is a warning about how it may not be family friendly so im assuming they knew what they were getting into unless the sign was just recently put up. the exhibit was thought provoking and meaningful. i really enjoyed it and the other more famous peices are also very interesting and cool. place was clean, swept, and front desk was friendly. definitely worth a visit.
Some very classic contemporary art to see here, wrapped in an architectural masterpiece from a Japanese master.
Great Museum in the heart of the Museum District in downtown Fort Worth. This museum is huge. I went from room to room filled with art and sculptures. This was a collection of female artists with female subjects. It was truly an emotional experience as I meandered throughout the museum commenting on each painting. Commenting on how How these painting affected the depths of my heart and soul and my interpretation. It’s a beautiful collection.
We really enjoyed visiting the museum to watch Jazz Fest: a New Orleans Story. The movie provides history and intricate details about the formation and continuation of Jazz Fest, the different types of music which formed jazz, and the multitude of cultures that perform at Jazz Fest. I recommend that anyone who visits the museum watch the movie. It was fabulous and tons from multiple points of view.

I like this museum, they have a great collection of modern art. They have important painting, and the architecture is FANTASTIC. If you are looking a fancy and confortable place for a special dinner, you must going to the restaurant and bar. They have a lake, that you can admire all the bulding. It is awsome. And in may 22 their gonna have a special exhibition about woman artist.
Museum designed by Ando Tadao. Good layout with some hidden passageways to keep exploring the space interesting. Even if you’re not a fan of modern art, it’s worth visiting for the building and the tranquility it offers. There is a restaurant attached to the museum, so go ahead and get some drinks afterwards.

This place was amazing!!! The architectural design of the building was phenomenal. It really felt like I was in a "art" museum. And it was free. There's another museum nearby 2 withing walking distance that we visited at the same time. And they are also free on certain days.
Came on a Sunday and the admission was free. Only half exhibitions were available but I liked it. Friendly staff and beautiful architecture.
Half price admission Sunday! What an unexpected blessing. Had a quiet walk through the exhibit and explored the amazing installment of Sean Scully: shape of ideas. Looks like my significant other got the idea to propose here along the catwalk upstairs! Wow! Memorable and peaceful experience! Would definitely come back and view different people's work.
I came on Friday and enjoyed free admission. The museum is spacious and has a very artsy vibe. I spent an hour and a half to view all the exhibitions. The museum is located in the Cultural District, so you can easily combine visits to other museums too.
A great way to spend an afternoon. So many interesting pieces of art on display here more than just paintings. Love the creativity and the whole aesthetic is overall really pleasant. Definitely worth the trip !
This is one of my most favorite places to visit in Fort Wort. The Modern art museum, designed by the architect Tadao Ando, is a marvel. I would describe it as the most beautiful wall that ever hung art. It's incredible that simple materials like concrete, glass, and metal could be arranged in such a majestic but also serene way. And I'm sure some imagine the Modern is a "one time visit" kind of place, but I disagree. Depending on the time of day, the light coming in, transforms the atmosphere of the buildling. I didn't know congrete, glass, and metal could be so many different colors depending on the light hitting it. And the lake that hugs the side of the building, does a great job reflecting the beauty of the architecture. The lake is there to subtlety remind everyone, that this building, is art too.
I've been to this muesum twice and I've loved it both times. They always have some crazy exhibit. Beautiful muesum, and it's in the middle of a bunch of other museums so you can visit so many things and make it a date or a fun day out! They have a small cafe located in this muesum. Its adorable and of course priced at what you'd expect. It is 50% on most sundays but suggest always calling or verifying online. This is a 2 floor muesum and has a beautiful outdoor area available via the cafe.
I really like the restaurant at the Modern, the food is fresh and tasty. They have a great selection and good drinks. Im a fan of their shistos, they are not covered in anything, just some light flavoring. Their quinoa is addicting. The best part is being able to walk off your meal by visiting the museum. Especially on their free days. The restaurant can be a bit pretentious but with the great views and delicious food, i can handle ;)
Great museum. Love to be able to see some of the works of art that thou only see in books but can view them up close and personal. You can see the dimensions in a painting that you can't see if you're just looking at a photo.
A few of Monet's paintings. While looking room to room through the display, I had a $3 audio device to listen, at my leisure, to the Monet story of the paintings. I felt emotion in his paintings and then rested from the experience while grabbing a coffee and hearing beautifully played classical music ( I believe I was told from the later 1800's). While passing between buildings, there were several umbrellas set aside to save us from the constant misting and rain. I visited the gift shop, with too many creative items to list here. One thing I took home was a Monet inspired sleep mask.
Amazing place, the building is stunning, the art, the permanent exhibition, the location, parking, the mirror pool...... you can go every weekend and enjoy a quiet place just to take a break from daily life, floors are hard so wear some comfy shoes. Enjoy the place, its beautiful. Usually free on Sundays but thats about to change for the summer, check the website.
This museum is great! They had pieces from well known authors such as Pablo Picasso and Andy Warhol! The rest of the art was obviously carefully and thoughtfully chosen. It was a delight to see! The parking was plentiful and free. The price was more than reasonable at ten dollars per person (students and military get a great discount). If you enjoy art, museums, and/or art museums, then I strongly recommend you check this place out!
I’m à member to this museum. That’s how much I love it! It’s absolutely beautiful. They always have different things going on! Admission usually depends on the exhibit but usually affordable. I go very often&always enjoy my time here.
