They do not allow photographs. That was a disappointment.

Wonderful museum super worthwhile going to visit Artnouvea & Art Deco
#VALUE!
Nice Museum with stained glass windows and small art exhibition. Don't forget to see it from the river at night.
The most amazing and beautiful museum I have ever been in
Beautiful building so glad it was adopted and brought back to use. Many pieces on display from famous designers and the interior is fabulous.
Stunning museum. As soon as you walk in and turn your head slightly upwards the roof will have your jaw dropping to the floor. Plus, right now there is an exhibition of drawings by Dalí inspired by Dante's Divide Comedy which is just spectacular. The permanent collection of art déco and art nouveau is also well-worth the visit.
Not a huge fan of Art-Nouveau and Art-Deco, so the art inside was a little underwhelming. However, the building itself is worth the ticket. The colored light that makes it inside through the 20th century glass façade is amazing
A perfect museum to visit if you like Art Nouveau jewellery and statuary. The building and its stained glass are stunning too. Minimum of 1 hour needed for a visit.
Fantastic museum with Art Nouveau and Art Deco items. The building itself is worth coming to for itself!
It's an amazing museum in every sense. The items are displayed tastefully and with great lighting, the rooms are very well organised and the ambience is superb. The café is amazing, since you can enjoy a tasty treat with great views by the Casa Lis glass balcony. What's more there always is a side expo which is renewed every once in a while, and they are always great. It's really a great experience.
Enjoyed this museum's collection as well as the building itself. Particularly liked what I'll call the 'dancing room' where dozens of figurines are displayed while period music plays to set the mood.
Really enjoyable little Art Deco museum. Probably one of my favorite museums simply because this guy had wonderful taste. Very little in the way of paintings. Mostly glass, bronze, mixed media, jewelry, etc. Lots of clowns and circus themes, ballerinas, dolls and glassware. Definitely worth the price of admission. Only problem, no photos, flash or otherwise. :-(
Best art display of my stay. I loved it. Lots of beautifully crafted Lalique etc, and the tearoom was an art installation in itself. Just go, then tell me I'm wrong!!
Great place to see Art sculptures, pictures, dolls, vase and more made of ivory, marble or porcelain. Art who were made in 18th and 19th century. Very interesting. Very colourful.
I loved the museum, but don't understand why they don't allow you to take pictures. The building is a master's piece, and has an interesting art collection
Impressive villa and art nouveau collection. Not the kind of museum you would expect to find in the historical centre of Salamanca, but well worth the visit.
Truly brilliant small museum. If you like Art Deco this is a must. It includes the most elegant portrayals of the art form in every way and a delightful porcelain doll exhibition. Beautifully displayed in a magnificent building with stained glass atrium worth the €6 alone. But wait the hidden gem is the cafe. Situated at the rear, in the period stained glass conservatory, one is taken back to the 1920s.
An incredible small museum. Full of artdeco and art nouveau pieces that well display the breadth and depth of the periods and art forms. An amazing stained glass central ceiling!! Usually a temporary exhibit as well. A unique period themed cafe/restaurant is attached so you can enjoy a coffee or a wine with a decent selection of light foods. Unfortunately, they do not allow photographs to be taken inside the museum but oh the memories!
Fantastic content. Great presentation. Massive collections of dolls and glass. Superb bronzes. Can you spot the 1955 Picasso, though? Cheers all
A truly wonderful collection of exquisite objects. The quality and beauty of many of the exhibits is amazing. Also the design and layout of the place has been done to great effect. We were very impressed.
Beautiful building with amazing and extensive displays of Art Nouveau. The coffee area is very beautiful! A must if you go to Salamanca!
I went on the annual "open museums day" and there was a long line to get in. They were very strict about taking photos - NONE allowed! The museum is larger than it appears with two levels. The regular price for admission is 4€ and the building is owned by the city and the art work is from a private collector who bequeathed it to his hometown. That town and the town of Salamanca apparently have an agreement to display the artwork in Casa Lis. There is quite a nice exhibit of art nouveau crystal, art deco figurines/small statues, paintings, and a vast antique doll collection (on the 2nd floor). Don't visit if you are scared of Chuckie.....some of those dolls are frightening to see. On the other hand, if you fancy late 19th century and early 20th century dolls, it's very interesting to visit. There is a beautiful art nouveau cafe at the back of the ground floor with a beautiful view of the river side of Salamanca. I'm told you don't have to pay to access the cafe.
I think this is a lovely compact museum but what’s breathtaking is the stainless glass ceiling. When you walked in to the hall you’ll be greeted by oceanic feel or skyline feel of glass ceiling. It creates such wonderful ambiance and calming effects. We have to come back the sit down in the hall on the way out. Be mindful, no photography is allowed apart from the cafe. Entrance in April 2019 is €4. To be honest, this is more worth it than the university.
You can see uncommon works by Miro, Dali, and Picasso. Their collection of Art Nouveau and Art Deco items is unbelievable, including furniture, small sculptures, dolls, and jewelry. No picures aloud inside.
Small, bright really nice. Half price for seniors. Did not see dining room. Must pay to get into museum to eat. Spent an hour strolling around.
The stained glass here is absolutely amazing! The exhibits are cool as well, and well worth the 4 euros to get in. It's free some days so check before you go!
Spectacular venue, you must visit as pictures are forbidden inside. Great collection of fine arts from porcelain to stones. The patio view from the cafe to the back side of Old Town Salamanca is worth it. Stop by at the gift shop as the options are just one of its kind.
Love it! Best 0lace to come when it is hot outside and enjoy the moment of history and art.
Very beautiful. Needs to be visited if you go to Salamanca.
Stunning building with beautiful stained glass foyer, lovely pieces of art nouveau and art deco works, don't miss the gorgeous 1920's style cafe, good coffee and real hot chocolate. Very reasonable prices. Entrance is only 4Euros.
Beautiful Art Nouveau and Art Déco Museum. A must-see for fans of art from that period. Lots of beautiful items on display. And of course the building itself is a magnificent example of architecture.
A fantastic collection of manly art nouveau sculptures, objects, glassware and much more. You will need to put aside at least one and a half hours or more to see this collection. The Café is good for coffee, tea or a light meal.
You shouldn't miss this out. Beautiful little palace art Deco style with a breathtaking coloured glass ceiling. You can spend 3 hours easily and enjoy an appetizer in the nice café. You'll feel like you are in the 20's. The entrance is 4 or 5 Euros and it's worth it. The gift shop is also quite interesting.
A must see in Salamnaca build in early 20th century, beautiful collection of paintings, toys, dolls, jewellery, pots and more, there's even a skitch by Picasso, the building its self is marvellous with beautiful painted windows that has the painter's signature. And thr cafe us just lovely, nice collection of cafe's and variant dishes. You can't take photos in the galleries but it's allowed at the cafe.
This Museum don't seem much from the outside but it is an amazing building on the 'back', the view to the river. It is quite complete and representative of the Art Nouveau y Deco. Very nice inside, sith a small shop before the exit.
Small but beautiful museum with art nouveau/deco period..many interesting sculptures and arts..no picture/video allowed.. but at beautiful stained glass window cafe offers art nouveau interior where you could take as many picture/video...worth visiting!!!
A must visit while in Barcelona. This is a condo for the rich design by Gaud.
This is a great museum. Much greater for women ;) . I loved the house and its decoration. Its cafe is unbelievably beautiful and the prices are also much lower than the street prices. While we were visiting, there was an exhibition of los grabados de Goya. It was, by only itself, priceless. Must visit place in Salamanca. You cannot take photos inside but below is a foto from the cafe.
A grand place to visit, don't miss the grand front doors. Take time to soak up the atmosphere in the cafe. One of the most beautiful museums I have visited with exquisite collections. Not too fussed about the doll collections.
