Neanderthal exhibition not to be missed. Claiming the Neanderthal culture. Essential.

The museum has impressed me. It is very well organized. It explains the history of the municipality and the region in general in a didactic and very entertaining way, making the most of the exhibits. It is perfect to visit with children.

I have also been coming here since I was very little. I used to come with my father to admire the different archaeological exhibitions. The treatment of the guides and receptionists is great and always friendly. Also highlight the security service, which is always there when they are needed.

A very beautiful exhibition of objects found in the region of Murcia, and an excellent chronological journey of the evolution of the human species. You can spend a good two hours there. The explanation panels are only in Spanish. During my visit the Roman section was under construction but the visit was still worth the detour. Free museum.

Great museum, with a lot of Iberian architecture, it's good to know about historical objects and moments

Great museum with a wide variety of pieces from the Palaeolithic to the Visigothic era. The best are the representations of sites, caves or houses from different periods. They also have temporary exhibitions, right now of Neanderthals and heraldic shields. In addition, admission is free, a great success, because culture has to be accessible to everyone and everyone's heritage is exhibited here.

Bem apresentado. Muito central. A única desvantagem para nós não era nada em inglês. Mas quando na Espanha ...

It is a treasure of Murcia. Incredible all the archaeological samples, the detailed layout from prehistory to the Roman era. Very well documented and explained. Any qualifier is insufficient to express how well accomplished it is. It is of a wealth and an splendid organization. incomparable experience

A fantastic place where you can spend a few hours immersing yourself in the Argaric culture. The history of man from the Palaeolithic to the Visigothic period in the region of Murcia. The sites you discover are incredible, such as the Iberian sanctuary of light or the Roman baths of Fortuna. The exhibition on the Neanderthals of the year 2022 is incredible. Admission is free.

Another jewel that is not sufficiently valued. We have attended the temporary exhibition on the Neanderthals and the discoveries of the Sima de Las Palomas site (until September 25). Safety pin. And today we have discovered the coin room, a new room where the different coins that have circulated in Murcia throughout its history are exhibited (I cannot help but say that, in the time of the Wolf King, our currency was the equivalent of modern euro). A visual and technological marvel.

Free museum. Very beautiful and very interesting. Very complete, very well presented. We really enjoyed this family visit. The only regret for us French who do not speak Spanish is not to understand the explanations written on the labels of the windows. A brochure translated into French would be a plus... I highly recommend this museum in Murcia.

the building It is very nice and the staff is very friendly. The registry is not extensive, but both the permanent and temporary collections were very well explained. A luck to coincide with the temporary exhibition of Neanderthals. Super interesting and interactive A must to understand where we come from. The visit is contextualized and is also free.

Highly recommended to learn about the origins of humanity in the region of Murcia and as a suggestion I would like to say that it would be interesting to put arrows on the ground to follow a circuit

Impressive the archaeological heritage of the region of Murcia. The temporary exhibition on Neanderthal man with the latest research that annihilates received ideas and a real gem, you must devote at least 2 afternoons to this museum open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. or devote a full day to it

We visited the "Ancestors" exhibition as a group with an honorary guide, Ignacio Martín, who made me change my preconceived idea of those "ancestors" of ours. I recommend it

We organized the Renaviplant congress at their facilities last week and it was a success. Drexco's catering at the Entrance Garden during the three days of celebration was spectacular and very professional. Congratulations

They do it very well, very interesting. Despite not being very big, you can see the interest and affection for his work

It is very complete and is very well distributed. The visit is not long or heavy. In addition, everything is clean, well lit and perfectly explained. When I have to go through Murcia again I will come again if I can. View is mandatory.

Cute little archaeological museum, entrance free. My kind of price. Didn't try the cafe but reputedly very good. The museum gives a lot of information concerning the formation of Murcian from palaeolithic times right through Roman occupation. Nice little stop in Murcia.

Annet Cruz Vázquez 3 years ago

Free Museum, where a large sample of archaeological pieces and information on evolution is exhibited. There is also an exhibition on the consequences of looting. We visited with the children and they loved it. I recommend it.

One of the best museums in all of Murcia along with Saltillo. Admission is free to all audiences and there are four floors to have fun learning history. Essential not only for tourists, but for all Marciano who wants to know about its origin. In addition, it hosts a lot of temporary exhibitions, such as the photos, which are amazing!

Love, love, love (full disclosure: I am an archaeologist). :) I love the archaeology museums in Spain, and this is another good destination. A thorough ground-floor exhibit covering the prehistoric and early historic periods from the region, continuing upstairs into the Roman period. Lots of information panels (Spanish only), dioramas, and nicely displayed artifacts. The special exhibit room is on the top floor and is usually quite interesting as well. Overall, a great place to visit for any length of time (it's free entry), and catch a taste of the long history of habitation in this area!
