Hash Marihuana & Hemp Museum in Amsterdam

Very informative and detailed, even though the space is small, there’s a lot to see and listen to over the audio which has several languages. It’s also one ticket for 2 museums so don’t forget about the second museum which includes a lot of the industrial uses for hemp. We also got free samples of hemp seed tea from the store Hempstory between the two museums

Nicely compact. Even though I don't smoke, it's still an important museum to behold. There are so many things, good products, car doors even made out from hemp. We need to show respect to this material and so we do by visiting this museum. I am much more wiser now than I was about hemp and the substance.

Really interesting Museum, I can reccomend for everyone interested in Hemp and Marijuana. I is also suitable for people with wrong or little knowledge about these topics in order to inform them correctly about Marijuana and Hemp. It is pretty cheap and the staff is very nice, when we visited there was no wait and we could enter right away. A free audio guide in different languages is included.

This place is amazing! I wasn't expecting so much in the beginning, but all the information is just amazing, I did learn a lot, there are so many things we don't know about this topic, was really nice! I highly recommend it

Ok Museu, provavelmente um pouco pequeno demais para justificar o ingresso de US $ 10, porque passei por isso em apenas 15 minutos, depois voltei pela segunda vez para arrastar minha visita a 30 minutos vendo as exibições que pulei O tour de áudio é bom e informativo. Um bom museu com muitas informações interessantes sobre a maconha e o cânhamo, a história de seu uso e os desenvolvimentos políticos. Você obtém uma pequena coisa do alto -falante como parte do preço do ingresso, onde pode escolher um idioma e obter informações sobre coisas diferentes relacionadas à maconha em todo o museu. Muitas informações interessantes relacionadas a diferentes aspectos. Às vezes, a informação falada era um pouco longa e eu perdi o foco, mas parar o áudio sempre foi uma opção. No geral, uma ótima experiência no museu, definitivamente recomendaria ir aqui se você estiver em Amsterdã.

Tour muito interessante e bom guiado (guia de áudio em vários idiomas). Você conhece a história da produção e uso do cânhamo. Além disso, diferentes aspectos culturais sobre maconha são explicados. Tudo isso está arredondado ao enfrentar situações políticas atuais na Europa e na América do Norte. Este museu é o único lugar na Holanda, onde as plantas de cânhamo crescidas são mostradas durante o crescimento (com proteção da tela). Definitivamente vale a pena uma visita.

The Hash Marihuana & Hemp Museum plus its Gallery are places where you can learn a lot about the Cannabis plant and what kind of history it has. Some facts were pretty surprising to hear. If you're really interested in the Cannabis plant and everything associated with it that's the place to go. The Museum and the Gallery offer a pretty informative audio guided tour. In Addition you only have to pay once and can visit both the Museum and Gallery. They are 50m (165ft) apart.

Visited this museum on 5/21/22. It really gave me an appreciation for the benefits of cannabis (especially medicinal) and how it does not deserve the bad reputation it sometimes has. Great history aspects of how past civilizations used cannabis and harvested it. The hemp exhibits are in a separate nearby building from the cannabis exhibits and feature some of the equipment used in harvesting hemp. Spent about 1 1/2 hours at the whole museum.

The museum was small, but interesting and gave so much information about marihuana throughout the history. You can borrow for priced include little machine which talk you though the museum. You can also able to see real growing marijuana, but due to security reason, I do not want to share on here. for extra info: You can get an extra ticket with this museum to the hemp gallery (next to this one about 2-3 flats)

Best place in Amsterdam! The tour guide did an amazing job at getting everyone to feel safe and happy and made me and my girlfriend laugh for hours after the museum

Super fun experience! You learn a lot (please check the quotes of famous people on the wall by the plants, absolutely hilarious). Exhibition is in two parts, a museum and a gallery, vedy well laid out. Right amount of information, worth the price (generally inexpensive). In addition, you get a discount for any purchases in their shop which offer a wide selection of seeds, oils, and many more.

Very interesting museum in 2 parts. Lots of information with the audioguide available in many different languages. For a small sized museum there was a lot to see and learn about. Certainly worth the very cheap price of 9€ per ticket ! Defenitly recommand if you are visiting Amsterdam ! Shows you that 1 plant can do so many things and that there is so much more to it than just calling it a 'drug'.

O museu não é imperdível, mas pode ser interessante se você já estiver na área e não tiver nada melhor para fazer.

It was a really nice experience and we got a free tour from the employer. It was very interesting to learn a bit more about what you smoke. If u visit don’t forget the PhotoBooth! I can really recommend.

Very cool place. You can learn a lot about weed and different drugs. Also, they provide free audio guides in many languages. Update: went there a second time. Very nice place. I would still highly recommend to visit it

Actually i was surprised with the museum. Its a betaiful collection of pieces related to weed culture and a nice interative way to navegate through the pieces. I recommend this to you if you are new at the weed culture and want to know more about, in a cientifically or sociality way! The museum gives a lot of information about weed. As an experieced smooker, i have to say that i still learn some new things! If you are thinking about use weed, its also nice visit this museum before or even during the trip! I smoked outside just before enter and had thr best experience i could get.

The staff were super friendly and the museum was fascinating! Definitely worth the visit - especially since the price (€9) includes visitation to two museums. Fun for a 1.5 hour activity and the adjoining Sensi Seeds shop was super cool and reasonably priced!

Great museum, definitely worth the entrance fee. Had some really interesting items and in the photos are a few of my favourite. They have an interesting piece of Howard Marks memorabilia which was particularly interesting to me. This would be a good place to bring someone who has a tainted or negative image of cannabis/hemp.

Arrived in Amsterdam first thing this morning. Wanted to see a few coffee shops and some museums on our first day and stumbled across this. Fascinating to see all the great uses of hemp through history. Enjoyed learning a bit about the history of hemp and marihuana and exhibits on offer.

Lovely museum off the beaten track, provide audio guide, very welcoming friendly staff. Educational, I definitely learnt a few new nuggets of information.

I got new knowledge about the good and bad sides of marijuana. And i really like the audio guide, it was very helpful for me. Value for money. The sensai seeds shop inside the museum have a good collection of seeds, and the salesman have good product knowledge and soo friendly

Lots of info. I loved the Hemp Museum more! They display various uses of Hemp and explains how friendly the use of Hemp is to the environment... surprisingly it’s used to make some parts of BMW and Mercedes vehicles

Interesting museum! The Hash Marihuana and Hemp Museum will provide you with everything you’d want to know about the cannabis plant and its use cases throughout the ages. It will open your mind to all the possibilities that this magical plant has to offer. This typical Amsterdam museum gives a good global historical perspective on the appreciation of cannabis, political activism and the medical background of marijuana. It is located on the “Oudezijds Achterburgwal” in the Red Light District and actually consists of two separate buildings: the museum and the gallery.

Very nice place, a lot of information about the history of marihuana and why it was used and what it was used for. (for example: clothing, car parts, shoes, guitars, seets etc.) You will learn about the history. Of what country's used hemp of marihuana the most, also how hash is made and such.

This museum is a fantastic way to learn about the cannabis plant. The displays are well throughout and informitive. The tickets to the experience include a two part tour through cannabis history and manufacturing. While the whole experience only takes an hour and a half, it's a entertaining peak into cannabis culture!

Extremely instructive museum. There are audio-guides in different languages. We've learned a lot about marijuana, the history of hemp and the use of it. Really loved the "We Are Mary Jane" exhibition. Worth our money !

Great little museum, worth a look even if you've never partaken in the green life, cheap to enter and audio guides in various languages, lots of history to hear and read!

Great place, lots of great information and pictures. Loved the live grow. Didn't use the handheld information device much but was a nice touch if we'd have had more time. Staff were friendly and fun people. Wouldn't go again just us because wasn't huge so feel I have seen it now but was a great experience and we feel happy to have gone, would probably take friends/family and highly recommend to everyone.

Another unique museum Amsterdam has to offer. I learnt a lot and I will definitely recommend you to visit this small museum. They provide you accurate information about this incredible plant. I feel more museums like this should be open to promote drug education.

Really nice, we learned lots of new information. The museum was really interactive and audioguides are included in multiple languages. We even took free photos on our way out! I recommend to everyone, smokers or not

I visited the museum in the late evening and was able to get in right before the cut off! It's best to tour this little museum after making yourself familiar with one of the many cafes in Amsterdam I was quite zooted as I toured the various parts of the museum and really enjoyed the audio guide! It was very informative and although the place is small, there is still quite a bit to read, learn and trinkets to be amused by all around. Also, I'm happy I went in the evening about an hour before closing, because I didn't have to deal with any lines or an annoying amount of tourists. Basically had the whole place to myself to explore!
