🗣️ Kröller-Müller Museum: Opiniões
Absolutely wonderful museum. You can find here very good collection paintings by van Gogh. It is really worth to visit.
Amazing place for Van Gogh collection, the colleagues are friendly and helpful!
The museum is located in the national park, natural and clean. The museum contains 8 exhibition places if I didn’t remember wrong, they contain paintings from 15th century to 19th century, including famous paintings of Van Goph. It’s amazing to look at the paintings so closely. Also, there are some sculptures. I’m not an art guy so I just looked around. The vehicles in the park are the free bicycles, I’m more happy to cycle around in the park, breathe the fresh air when it’s not too hot (hot is not the normal state). I would suggest if you’re going with your friends and have a bus transferring you.
Absolutely wonderful museum with a great collection of art! The building itself was also really nice & I loved how it was surrounded by nature. The whole ride to the museum was a nice experience in itself. Keep in mind that you have to pay an entrance fee for both the park and the museum. But once you’re in the park you can take one of the free white bikes to get to the museum. I had a really nice time!
Van Gogh, Mondrian, Picasso displayed in a very nice location. National art museum and sculpture garden, located in the Hoge Veluwe National Park in Otterlo in the Netherlands. Not easy accessible from Amsterdam by public transport but a visit is for sure worth it. The museum, founded by art collector Helene Kröller-Müller within the extensive grounds of her and her husband's former estate, opened in 1938. The museum has a considerable collection of paintings by Vincent van Gogh, Piet Mondrian, Georges-Pierre Seurat, and Pablo Picasso. 12EUR price for entrace or free entrance included with the Museumkaart.
The fabulous extensive collection of Van Gogh paintings would be enough all on its own, but this museum has much more besides. Also, the café is a nice place to be!
Beautiful collection. Highlight is sculpture garden. Be aware you not only pay entrance to the museum but also a hefty entrance fee for entering the National Park in which the museum is located
It’s such a great museum! I love private collections, because they are a lot more cohesive than regular museums. I’ve been here a few times before and it’s always a joy. I do remember that 40 years ago I could walk on the Jardin d’emaille from Jean Dubuffet, it’s was so magical. It’s s pity these things can’t happen anymore. But it was great to see the work again.
Very exotic places and museum. To enter it it requires the travel by a bicycle around 10 minutes. You can also walk around. For the surrounding areas it is purely the nature. In the museum there are so many collections of the famous painter van gogh, 2nd largest collection of him in Netherlands . You must go there. Before going there there is a really good hotel and restaurant too.
It really is a hidden gem in the middle of a beautiful nature reserve. We knew it had a sculpture garden but hadn't realised it had such an extensive art gallery too which also happens to hold the 2nd biggest collection of Van Gogh's work. The staff were incredibly helpful and very thoughtful, we were given the impression that they genuinely wanted people to share the enjoyment of the artwork here and that for some, it's probably more of a passion than a job.
Must go museum to see Van Gogh. Picasso and other masters and artists. Also take a bike trip through the Dutch sandplains.
What a fantastic museum Van Gogh, Mondrian, Picasso, wow!
Well set out and presented gallery. Great range with interesting early Van Gogh and also including some contemporary pieces from 2022. Perhaps one day is not long enough to take in the museum, the sculptures and the national park. Museum felt very well arranged. We didn't see and were not told about the option of audio guides when we entered and only saw this on leaving
I really don’t have much to say apart from the fact that the museum and all the surrounding it’s incredible. One of the best museum I’ve been in the Netherlands. It’s in the heart of a natural reserve. This is a must see. Interesting collection: Monet, Picasso Van Gogh, Balla just to name few. The only down side I could find (if I have to find something) it’s the overall price: the museum, the access to the park for the person and also the car. It’s very expensive, but anyway worth it. After the visit at the museum I would suggest to take one of the bikes (for free) and ride around the national park.
Really beautiful, the place ia far to the caos of the traffic or cities so you can appreciate the art in the best way, the art is complete and you can fin a big collection of Van Gogh also you can find Monet, Picasso, Cézanne, etc
A Must See Art and Nature collection. Yes it takes 90 minutes to get there, but no other place in Amsterdam can offer what you will find here. Van Gogh close up and in detail. And so much more in the Sculpture Garden. And easy bike rides in a beautiful natural setting. Our second time here and I would come back again.
Impressive collection of classic and contemporary art. A must see for an art-lover! Located in a nice park, so one could combine a visit to the museum with hiking or a bike ride in the nature reserve.
Great museum and expositions. There's a cafeteria area and also access to outdoors garden
Great experience with tons of Van Gogh and other cool paintings. The staff is really nice. And the outside parc of the museum is amazing (probably even better in summer).
Very beautiful museum located in wonderful national park. Moreover it has quite big collection of various interesting arts from different time periods. Recommend to visit!
Great museum, lots to see not only van Gogh, modern art and more, take your time, the museum alone is easy 2 hour or more, the sculpture garden is nice many to see it can take 3 hour or more, so take your time, the staff is very friendly, they can tell about the art you see, so ask them, is very nice outing with your partner, family, friends or alone, the museum is situated in a nature park the park is great to see but if you want see both better take 2 days one day for each
Awesome museum, great collection of art, especially Van Gogh. I also love the way how they give information to people and how they lead you through the exposition. Another one cool thing is that museum is located in the middle of national park and windows are like another one paintings, so beautiful nature. They also have one of the biggest sculpture park in Europe, so if you like modern sculpture, it’s definitely worth to visit. And museum is easily accessible from Arnhem station, so if you don’t have a car, that’s not a problem (we traveled there from Cologne without any problems).
Sometimes it is worth watching the other guests. Loved the fake tree. The view from 87m over the park is amazing. The 200+ steps a bit scary!. Seeing the van Gogh's sunny picture s make me happy. Only seen half of the garden of statues. You need more than a full day to see it all.
Totally unknown of, totally unexpected, totally awesome. A museum to visit and to enjoy. Among other must-sees, the second largest collection of Van Gogh paintings? Can't be missed! And the Garden is spectacular too. The restaurant-cafeteria inside the museum offers delicious food in a very relaxing and airy open space. Thank you!
Always love to visit here. Nice spacious museum. Just the right size for a few hours. Beautiful sculpture garden (limited during winter due to protective covers) Nice gift shop, nice lunchroom, including outdoor seating's
One of the best museums with a second largest collection of Van Gogh in the world + an expansive sculpture park. All of this is inside the beautiful Hoge Veluwe National park. You can drive through the park and leave your car at a museum parking lot. But the best is to leave the car at the park entrance and hop on a free white bicycle. A bike ride through the park’s forest, dunes and meadows is an absolute delight. Inside the museum there is a nice cantina where they make a delicious apple pie.
Absolutely worth the trip! We went on a rainy Monday and felt like we had the place to ourselves. Some amazing artworks from some of my favourites, with a huge and cleverly hung collection of Van Gogh. Excellent sculpture garden too. Great little gift shop, quiet cafe and free lockers. Just do it!! We took the train from Amsterdam and two buses. It was really easy and the driver of the second bus even waited for us to buy our tickets at the gate and then continued through to drop us at the closest entrance :)
Amazing & unbelievable place to visit! You are driving through the forest & appear in the beautiful place full of art. It’s like another reality))) Huge park with many stone sculptures, interesting art-objects, beautiful nature, so impressive connecting of all that!!! You can lay on a grass under masterpiece))))) Museum is amazing- Van Gogh, Manet, Renoir, Picasso, Radon and many other world wide famous artists. Unfortunately we came nearly 14:00 & spent there only 3 hours, so didn’t see everything, so hope to visit it again!!! Great place!!!
Very enjoyed our visit to the museum. The size of the Van Gogh collection is also quite manageable for a 5 year old and you get get a nice treat in the museums cafe afterwards. Worth going there on a nice day so you can borrow one of the bikes for a trip around the area too. If not a bike you can have a walk and discover the park by foot.
This is a rating for the sculpture garden because we didn't even make it into the museum!! Loved walking around, especially through the back and up to the lookout, which is actually a part of the collection too. If you're willing to climb the stairs (not for those with vertigo) you get a great view of the park. The museum has free lockers, free use of toilets and lends out pushchairs. All good stuff ☺
