🗣️ Museo Provincial de Pontevedra - Edificio Castelao: Opiniões
Very well, especially the bobbin lace, I would like to return to these crafts that, in addition to being beautiful, relax and keep the mind occupied, the final work is wonderful and is to be saved for other generations
A wonderful experience! The permanent exhibition is very good, and the temporary ones are also good, especially Ruth Matilda Anderson's from 2022.
Excellent, very good exhibits. Everything neat and easy to navigate.
Realmente interessante e uma coleção muito maior do que eu esperava. E o edifício é uma adorável mistura de antigos e novos. Vale a pena visitar!
Totally recommend your visit if you are in Pontevedra or the area. Great place to stop and spend a whole morning or afternoon. Very good organization and reception of visitors. The staff is very friendly and correct. It is a perfect combination between the new and the historic building. Congratulations to the Pontevedra Provincial Council and its director.
I have not been able to see it in its entirety, only a traveling origami exhibition and the part of the permanent exhibition that goes from the Paleolithic to the Roman Empire. I found it very interesting and educational. The exhibit is in very good condition.
Amazing place. Excellent and my congratulations to your administrators and staff. Nothing to envy other important museums, it is up to par. I would visit again. Thank you Pontevedra.
nice visit with various exhibits. Museum with collections of Spanish and Galician art. Decorative arts from the Middle Ages to the 20th century.
Incredible. I have been coming to Pontevedra for 33 years and have never visited any of the Museum's buildings. The Castelao and Sarmiento buildings, which are also connected, house a good collection of Galician art as well as prehistoric art. I'll be back.
It is a great museum if you go to Pontevedra do not forget to visit it. We have been on September 21 has a temporary exhibition on the Galician costume a pass. In addition to the rest of the exhibitions. It's also free and the staff is very friendly. go visit him
I thought it was a great museum. I went to see a temporary exhibition and found that there were several extremely interesting exhibitions. I hope to come back another day
Fantastic! Large, diverse, and beautiful buildings
Great collection in painting. I loved the room dedicated to Castelao. The fusion of the two buildings through a footbridge is very original. You can also see the remains of the Pontevedra wall.
A wonder is the temporary exhibition of Ruth Mathilde Anderson and traditional Galician clothing, as well as the whole Museum itself.
A simple museum to walk through, in our case there was an exhibition of traditional costumes that we loved. As well as an exhibition of prehistoric treasures that kept the little ones entertained. Really recommendable and lovely staff
Very friendly staff, and the spectacular site. The exhibitions that it has are wonderful.
Lovely museum with some nice exhibits, and as a bonus, free entry!
Very cute and well cared for. They have permanent and temporary exhibitions. The staff is very attentive and kind.
Really interesting. A wonderful building, a bit confusing when it comes to following the rooms, because they link 2 buildings and the audio guides are sorely missed. And it takes more than one morning to see everything calmly, but very well. We loved the temporary collection of photographs with mannequin representations of what life was like a century ago in Galicia. My congratulations to the care with which it is made.
Excelente
Several buildings with different rooms, we liked it a lot, totally recommended
Good exhibits, clean and well organized. If you pass through Pontevedra visit it
We were visiting the museum yesterday. Impressive building, modern and well distributed. Spacious and bright rooms, well signposted as to the route and content of each one. Wonderful collections of Galician and Spanish art that make it an essential visit, to lose yourself in time. We left delighted and wanting to return. Its staff and visitor attention of 10.
Exposições extraordinariamente abrangentes com curadoria, legenda e exibida. A acomodação é feita para vários idiomas. Foi uma surpresa deliciosa para descobrir em uma cidade relativamente pequena. Vale várias horas.
I went to the Women Who Opinion Are Dangerous event and the truth is that I was very surprised by the facilities. I discovered some of the exhibits and really enjoyed them. Very friendly security and reception staff. They do a lot of events on the ground floor. Undoubtedly a place to be aware of to enjoy leisure plans
The building is amazing, the exhibits perfect. An unforgettable experience.
Uma visita maravilhosa! Nós apreciamos a ala antropologia e as galerias de arte - bem com curadoria e grandes exposições. Uma das coisas mais legais para fazer em Pontevedra.
Genial
A wonderful and interesting permanent exhibition, with a contemporary art room that holds some wonderful surprises. The well-chosen temporary exhibitions, and together with the other rooms, all the exhibits add charm to the visit and favor this present-past dialogue with the visitor. Whenever I come to Pontevedra it is a must and never disappoints;)
Impressive
I'm a history buff by nature. This place had so much I appreciated and I learned more than I could have by just reading about it in a book. The city is full of such education. I was beyond impressed. This vacation has been so good despite the rain. Yeah, it's been raining for almost a week but the museum is a wonderful place to visit on a rainy day. I seriously enjoyed it.
Wonderful place with sections on the pre-Roman, Roman, and post-Roman history of Galicia. Lots of wonderful artwork from various periods. Could spend several hours here - would highly recommend it.
Worth a visit as it's free entry. It was founded in 1927 but moved to this modern site called the Sarmiento Building. It has lots about Galician art history and a great collection of Spanish art from 18th-20th century. It has five floors in total.
Not many pieces but it is very well presented and interactive.
I wish I had had more time to spend there. It was great.
Modern and diaphanous building, very nice. We only visited the exhibition about the shawls of Manila and the archeology part. Very interesting, well explained but in a simple and short way (perfect to go with children), some facilities can be touched and explored. A shame not to have had more time to see everything that is exposed in the building. Very friendly staff, they helped us choose what part to see with only half an hour of time and going with children.
A must for everyone visiting Pontevedra and even Galicia. It fits both those who already know a bit of Galician art history as well as first visitors. You will definitely go out with a better understanding of Galician culture and its people
This is one of the 6 buildings that make up the Museum of Pontevedra. I was surprised with the interesting goldsmith's collection that is kept there as well as its ethnographic funds. It is located very close to the center of the city, in the old town. Easy access Totally recommended.
Great examples of historic artifacts from the stone age to Roman times, medieval period and beyond.
Free and wonderful
stunnuning architecture
One of the best museums we have been to. Not to be missed.
Gem of a place. The main building itself is beautiful, merging seamlessly with its surroundings, and the exhibitions- both the permanent collection of Galician art and the exhibition of Jose Solla’s work were great. Wonderful way to spend a good few hours! Oh yes, and it’s free! Do not miss.
Lovely gallery space.
A great local museum with many regional paintings and sculptures in a gorgeous building. We went back a second day and loved even more. This is a must visit in Pontevedra.
Excellent museum. Great introduction to Galician Neolithic.
