🗣️ Joan Miró Foundation: Opiniões
Great exhibits. Beautiful building with nice views of the city. Amazing garden next to it. Only problem was waiting an hour for the 150 bus in both directions! It's supposed to run every 20 min.
Very friendly, There are Miro's lithograph for sale and all the staff are fantastic.
Set in a beautiful park on top of the hill, this is a dream come true for all lovers of Miró. Breathtaking in so many ways. It is an absolute must-see.
So glad i managed to visit this museum on their open day due to the La Mercè festival. Such a refreshing experience as the museum showcased his abstract/surrealist art. This is a contrast to all the renaissance/impressionism art that i have seen thus far in Barcelona. The audio guide is free & also easy to use (bring your earpieces for this)! The place was also very accessible due to the Montjuic Funicular & the roof terrance offered great views of the city. This is a museum not to be missed!
Great museum. Well curated, plus beautiful views of Barcelona! An hour is fine, but you'll want much more time. The surrounding area in Mt Juic is a great place to walk/hike, whether up to the Olympic stadiums and on to the castle or down to the Museum Nacional.
A terrific experience viewing his beautiful works of art. The foundation is in a nice part of the park with great views of the city and it's very easy to get to from the metro.
Laid back and friendly. We enjoyed the building as well as the art works. Good location for Montjuic too. Cafe restaurant on site. Great views over Barcelona.
What a man and what art he created. A wonderful exhibition to celebrate this amazing artist.
A wonderful museum with a nice roof top full of sculptures. The Cafe was pleasant as well.
Very nice also the restaurant was not overpriced. I liked the experience. Though the audioguide was online and you have to bring your own earphone. Amenities wise they are complete. Also its near to the cable cars.
Will never regret to spend €7 (student ticket) for this 2h-ish journey. Miró’s “artwork” defo brings a new understanding of art to audience. With the descriptions throughout the exhibits, I learnt about his family story and his inspiration to create the works that he created. There is also another temporary exhibit when I visited which is small but fun. If you’re carrying a bag, there’re quite a lot of lockers for visitors to use in which you have to put a €1 coin and get it back afterwards.
Nice café, we had a great time at the museum. Thoroughly recommend even though there is not much of his later work.
While not for everyone. Clearly an important and influential artist to Barcelona and Spain. A pleasant stroll to admire and reflect. Tip: bring headphones and scan the QR code to listen to an audio commentary as you walk through the exhibit. Tip2: enjoy Cava in the cafe. Lol
Amazing artist, there is a saying inside the museum from a Japanese collector, that Miro is a bridge from east to west. Miro is amazing colorful making you feel and think about the world Don't miss it
Great collection of Joan Miro. Highly recommend!
Great exhibition! Personal items and pictures, early Miro work! Worth to visit.
Stunning building with a stunning architecture, great views over BCN, and beautiful, creativity invoking art by one of the legends. What more can you ask for? I would recommend it to anyone - combine it with a walk around the area and a drink in a place nearby.
Beautiful museum focussed on the works of Joan Miro and their friends. +a beautiful view on the city. Spacious and well balanced. Has a little cafeteria for fresh coffee and a little bite.
Riveting half-day out - such eclectic mix of art styles, all fascinating. The huge textile pieces and the mercury fountain were particularly interesting and different from anything I've seen before. The place is pretty big and has a fantastic view of the city.
The Joan Miró fundation was created by Miró himself. I really enjoyed being able to meet and explore his work on 'his' spacial design, since it open the door to a different dimension of the artist.
Wonderful place to learn about the incredible work of Miró. A must visit in Barcelona (it's got beautiful views of the city too!)
I don't think it is a "must see" place when you're visiting Barcelona, but definitely interesting one, especially if you like modern art. The building itself in my opinion is an architectural marvel. Joan Miro was an artist who definitely had an impact on how Barcelona looks like now, so his museum is definitely a place to consider visiting.
A wonderful display of Miro's work along with his ideological motivations. The gallery is situated on top of the Montjuïc hill and is easily accessible but the metro and taking the funicular (free transfer). There is a free audio guide that gives more information and insight into some of the works. Apart from the lack of seating to admire and ponder, this is a great place to appreciate Miro's works of genius.
This was the highlight of our trip to Barcelona. A wonderful overview of Miro's work, I felt I really learned a lot about him. Great information on the little cards next to the pieces. Very nice building and a great little cafe and shop. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in the area.
Outstanding museum the best in Barcelona imo. Full of wonderful pieces of art from Miro . Worth a trip to Montiuij.
One of my favorite museums now. The building is pretty and well designed, and you get a nice view too. I love Joan Miró's work!
Great example of how museum can be a designed space and organized in the same time. Love the beautiful layout and all the amazing views of the city.
Beautiful museum with great views of Barcelona. Joan Miró was more versatile than I realized. Paintings, sculptures, tapestries with stunning colors and memorable designs. Café was good too. Add reasonably priced tickets and free street parking. Well worth a visit!
A great modern art museum that features the work of Joan Miró and other artists. Joan Miró donated many of his works to this museum (Miró was alive when construction began in 1975). Exhibits here range from breathtaking to provocative. It is one of my favorite sites in Barcelona, and if I was a Barcelona resident, I would visit this museum often.
If you like abstract art, this is the place for you. There are descriptions of the paintings, which makes it more clear and interesting. There are big paintings, very famous. It is a lovely place to try to understand more the author.
You don't know how to explain these works, less than 50% of the chance that it makes you feeling "that make sense", the rest is that "I really know nothing about modern art...", But they are nice color combination and looks interesting even from a ordinary person like myself. The artist want to search something that not limited to the existed painting ways which can be understand and at least he showed his own world and universal. And the museum designed well, and the last, not forget visit the BE when it comes to the last, you can make your own collage and put them there. Lol
Built during the life of the artist himself, this white building, filled with natural light through high windows hosts some of Mirò's best masterpieces. Paintings are paired with smaller and very large sculptures, inside and outside (in small gardens and on the roof). The audioguide is pretty thorough and well organised. There is also a small shop and a restaurant where you can also have small sandwiches. You can't enter the exhibition with a backpack but there are lockers you can leave your things in. Definitely worth a visit!
Finally went to this museum and I really enjoyed it. If you like abstract art, you will love Juan Miró's work and this museum. What made me even happier is that we can take pictures and videos of pretty much everything. The staff was very friendly as well (unlike most other museums were everyone is grumpy and mad for no reason!!) The view is amazing and it's worth spending time and having a coffee in the terrace with a view of Barcelona.
