🗣️ Museo Arqueológico de Córdoba: Opiniões
Amazing how ancient is Córdoba and what you can know in this place about this city.
Small archeological museum. One of the buildings has the remains of a Roman theater exposed in the basement. Free entry on Tuesday.
Wow!! Amazing setup especially lower level built over excavated amphitheater. Very creative commitment to Córdobas history.
Small museum, interesting exhibits and friendly staff.
Well-run museum with many fascinating objects. Most descriptions in Spanish and English.
We went there a Tuesday and entrence was for free! Great place!
It's really interesting to see the evolution of Cordoba from prehistory until the present day. They really try to give you a feel of how it would have been to live during all these different ages. And it's free
this is such a great museum! loved it! you learn a lot about cordoba throughout the times!
Great museum that is really well laid out with a full archeological dig on the lower ground floor. Can easily be seen in 1 hour
Short but well done! The roman theatre and archeological finds are well displayed with lots of context.
Deve ver. Bem conceituado e executado; Para uma pequena cidade do sul, trabalho verdadeiramente admirável neste museu. Passagens do porão através de ruínas romanas, com tutoriais de vídeo notáveis e impressionantes.
Situated in the beautiful Palacio de los Páez, a Renaissance building designed by the architect Hernan Ruiz, this museum houses a little known archaeological collection that is undoubtedly one of the best in Spain. Cordoba, which was one of the most important cities of the Iberian Roman Empire, and the largest European capital during the High Middle Ages ( when it was in hands of Moors), is, in itself, an impressive archaeological site that provides wonderful pieces that become part of the superb collection of this museum.
Great museum, very well explained and organized. I got out with a great understanding of Cordoba's history.
A little gem of a museum with artefacts spanning 2,000 years.
Very comprehensive museum, with artifacts from pre-Roman, Roman, Visigothic, Islamic, and so on.
Good museum which is absolutely worth a visit when in Cordoba. Well preserved roman artefacts. Since it is open till 9 p.m., it is super easy to fit in to the schedule. The ruins in the basement of the Roman theatre are amazing ! The coin collection and burial / funerary items are extremely impressive as well.
Amazing empanadas. Must have after your tour.
Great place in Córdoba. Very well done with English translations. Free entry. Don’t miss this.
Admission was free on the Saturday we went. Not sure if this is normal but was a pleasant surprise. They have an amazing collection of artifacts from all periods of Andalucian history from the prehistoric era, to the Iberians, Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Visigoths, and Moors. Most of the information plaques were also in English, which was helpful. Highly recommend a visit here if you are in Córdoba even for a short day trip. Can easily go through in a hour.
Awesome museum with ancient artefacts built over the remains of a Roman theatre that the visitor has access to. Was blown away by it. And it was free!
Have some amazing artifacts a great wander around and written in Spanish and English. Also free when we went in. Fantastic bar outside.
An outstanding museum, located in a beautifully designed building and displaying a wonderful range of artefacts from the various civilisations which have, over the centuries, ruled from Córdoba. Displays are beautifully presented, and the star attraction has to be the excavated remains of the Roman Theatre in the basement area of the museum. Great credit must go to the municipality of Córdoba for keeping this superb attraction open during difficult times for the tourism industry. My wife and I were the only visitors during the hour or so we spent there, and it occurred to us that the fact it remains open reflects well on the commitment of the municipality and staff to ensuring that the history of their city remains accessible to those who wish to explore it. So...not only do I recommend this museum very highly, I actively urge anyone visiting the wonderful city of Córdoba to seek it out and visit.
The staff is very very nice and polite. If you want to know the origin of Cordova, then, it is your place. 60 minutes for visiting is right.
Really good Museum! And on Wednesdays the entrance is free. You learn a lot about the history of Cordoba and how it was in Roman times, how was life inside the houses, artifacts and even some ruins found in excavation. It worth the visit, specially considering that Cordoba is pretty small
Amazing collection of artefacts, very well maintained. Very professional and friendly staff.
Very nice museum, with a lot of interesting artifacts corresponding to the Roman, Islamic, and Christian periods of rule. Bottom level is really cool: a ongoing excavation of a Roman theater. Also, it's cheap! (And free on Wednesdays)
For a free visit, this was well worth the time. Interesting exhibits and quite a lot to see.
Come, see, read and learn. Comprehend and keep living accordingly. So now you know your to do list. What are you waiting for?
We stopped through for an hour the morning we had to leave and it was just about right. Lots of great artifacts and history in great condition in a very nice museum. The old Roman theatre it was built on is very cool to see inside. Highly recommend for something that lots may overlook in the area.
A nice museum with not too many pieces but carefully selected. Free for citizens from the EU.
...a must see to everyone who wants to be introduced in to the magnificent history of Cordoba and Andalusia
Built on top of the theatre ruins, you can walk through part of them in the -1 floor. In 1 and 0 floor you take a look to the past, enjoying different elements during different periods (coins, sculptures and ornaments, cook tools, weapons...), all guided and explained by text next to the exposition (spanish and english) Recommended
Wonderful museum full of artefacts from Cordoba and the surrounding area covering thousands of years of local history. Roman theatre being uncovered on the bottom floor. Marvelous space.
Very informative and entertaining! It's definitely worth a visit.
For a relatively small museum it held many fascinating objects from ancient times. We loved walking through the excavation site of an old Roman theater inside the museum.
Museo arqueologico cordoba
Very nice museum with great presentations like 3d visualization of the roman theater/ruins and coins observable via magnifying glass.
Museum showing various objects and artefacts from differrent time periods. There was a section with some mosaics which was closed now.
Very interesting if you want to understand the history of Andalucia. The fact that it's a small museum actually improves the experience because it let's you enough time to read the exclamations which are rightly dosed.
Very good museum. Go there and scheduled 3 hours minimum if you like to read. Free entry !
Is a great museum to see the timeline of the city! Loved it! It has a great collection and definitely worths visiting!!
Really interesting. It's built on the ruins of the roman theatre so you get to go underneath to see them. Also an interesting history of the city.
