🗣️ Cozumel Musem: Opiniões
A great little (air-conditioned) museum that tells you the history of Cozumel. All placards are in both Spanish and English. I think the entry fee was 4 dollars. On the 2nd floor it has a gift shop and a restaurant with a beautiful view of beach and bay.
A place you must visit!
Interesting history of the island
Excellent local museum well laid out and covers Cozumel history (natural and political) with lots of graphics and easy to understand presentations.
Well Done
Great place to go have breakfast. I love the eggs bendic with bacon
Nice, neat and clean. It is like taking a journey in the history of the island. The guided tour is the best. A must when you visit Cozumel. Update: the view from the terrace restaurant is awesome!
Recently renovated, well labeled in Spanish and English, helpful staff, interesting look into Cozumel history.
Very interesting things you will learn about Cozumel in this museum. You can also eat great food while contemplating an amazing ocean view
Very informative. Great graphics and layout. Visiting arts exhibits upstairs.
We were last here in 2011! The museum has been remodeled and update. It looks great and there is a bunch to learn. The children enjoyed themselves and learned as well. No play areas for toddlers or younger, but there is a variety of interactive exhibits for children and adults.
Huge museum. Spent most of the day there. Very interesting
Museum was very informative. Had some difficulty with some exhibits w/o English translations. But I learned a lot about the Cozumel and Mayan history and culture. I had lunch at the museum restaurant. Mixed Pad Thai was AMAZING! 2 for 1 Happy Hour drink options were good also for me as a non-drinker. Staff was so extra accommodating, including a "cooling cloth" and individual fan for my comfort. I would definitely give the dining experience 10+! The view and artwork just complimented this awesome dining experience. A tad bit pricey but worth every pesos!!
Restaurant upstairs is sort of hidden from the street, nice view, not too expensive for breakfast. On your way out you can take a look at the art without having to pay
Nice museum. Lots of local art. And artifacts. The restaurant on the roof has the best view.. And great food. The breakfast are superb.
We enjoyed our private English speaking guide and alot of interesting facts about Mexico and artifacts
Limpo e bem definido. Ultrapassa a história física e cultural da ilha. Definitivamente recomendo para os fãs de história ou museu.
Awesomeness. The BEST view in the island ❤. No better place for breakfast -I like it here and "Waffle House"
Amazing museum and delish restaurant upstairs! Super friendly and attentive staff here, A+!
Really great exhibition, very detailed history of the culture and location. Spacious, clean and modern.
Excellent experience! Our guide, Oscar, was very knowledgeable and helpful. This tiny museum is unexpectedly neat and quite high-tech. The entrance cost is definitely worth the causes its supports. (I didn't take photos because I enjoyed the tour, my husband took a million photos)
This museum is located right on the boardwalk. Ther is AC. You will learn about the mayan history and the different gods, the flora and fauna. You will see artifacts, replicas, models. There are interactive installations as well as life size model of a Mayan house. Very well kept museum.
We went only to the restaurant for a breakfast and it was a great experience. I loved the view and food and service were excellent! I got free refills of coffee and pastry was warm and tasty.
If like me, you haven't been to this museum in a long time you must go! It's got new interactive exhibits and is a wonderful way to learn the history of the island, industry, people, flora and fauna.
Excelente place to go. There you can find all information you must know about to the island.
Visited this museum and I have to be honest, I wasn't expecting much but to my surprise we were met at the entrance by an English speaking guide who took the time to walk us through the entire museum. We spent 2 hours learning about the history of the area and of the island!
Really nice museum, a lot bigger than we thought!
It is a beautiful place to visit and watch the sunset from the restaurant.I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and was even given wet towels to cool off the heat ❤️ Thank you very much to everyone who works there, they are helpful people, especially Luján or Guadalupe, I do not remember her name, I'm sorry. But YOU MUST VISIT THAT BEAUTIFUL PLACE.
Super interesting and nice tour! If you like to soak up into the culture
WOW! If what you like to do when you visit a new place is to go to museums, GET TO THIS MUSEUM. The restaurant was closed, there was no gift shop but the exhibits were extensive and spectacular, including a reproduction of one of the very rare Mayan codices. With a free fine arts museum on the second floor.
Good service. I believe they have a different price for their menu for tourist. Good food. Like the margarita. Seafood menu is authentic mexican. Friendly staff. Museum on the ground floor. Nice ocean view from the terrace. Great way to relax and see boats, locals, tourists, and cruise ships passing by.
The owners create all of their own jewelry they are their personal designs they have the best prices in town I highly suggest the museum shop to the right when you walk in the museum and the food upstairs is delicious. My custom designed gold mermaid was designed by Hugo and is a one-of-a-kind I love her so much thank you again Maki and Hugo with love Sarah
This quaint little museum has Mayan antiquities from the island that could be in the British National Museum. A wonderful tour given by staff. A lovely restaurant overlooking the sea. Its a great way to spend a few hours during a cloudburst.
Excellent place where you can learn a lot about the local culture, the entrance fee is cheap and you can choose whether or not to have a tour.
amazing view! tried 5 different breakfast menu items and they were all delivious!
Such a great place. Friendly staff. Credit cards accepted.
This is an excellent museum and our tour guide was fantastic. Highly recommend visiting if you find yourself in Cozumel and are shopped out looking for some history and culture.
The Cozumel Museum is a must see for those interested in Maya culture and archaeological finds.
One of the nicest museums. The exhibits are very well done and have signage in Spanish and English. It covers the local ecology (marine and terrestrial), culture, and Spanish contact.
A very good museum, and rather overlooked. Not crowded, very informative, with excellent permanent and temporary exhibitions. Skip Margaritaville. Come here.
