🗣️ Musée Magritte Museum: Opiniões
As an avid magritte scholar and fan, loved this museum. I travelled to Brussels to see it so I am biased.
I really liked the visit of Magritte Museum. The visit is well organised. After clearing security and dropping your belongings in the free cloakroom, you are guided towards the several visits (three choices at the time I visited). The visit is structured chronologically and goes over the life of the painter and ends with the Magritte gift shop. There's a 'general' gift shop at the exit of the museum.
A real treat for art lovers or even those curious about surrealism. The exhibit takes you through the life of René Magritte and many examples of his works. While his most famous paintings are in large museums, this museum helps you to better understand his paintings. Titles are in Dutch, French, and English but the quotes are only in French with small plaques containing Dutch translations. Nothing a translator app couldn’t solve. The museum has toilets, free lockers, and a nice gift shop
Szép kiálitás ! This made me think a lot and have some interesting conversations about the absurdities which are the seeming norms in forms of older "Beaux Arts". It showcases the phases through which the artist and others of his time went through in the twentieth century. Philosophical quotes which make one ponder about everything and nothing.
Brussels is great for museum and Margritte Museum was a great choice. Getting inside takes a little bit long and I would say price could have been cheaper. However, we looked starting from to floor and walking down to exit works great. Great selections
Nice! Original works of Magritte
Very informative, beautifully presented and with a rich catalog. A must.
One of the best fine art Museum, I know! Unsere beste Empfehlung! Our best recommendation ! Have a looooong and deeeeeeep look!
Absolutely breathtaking museum experience honoring one of the best artists in the world.
Boa galeria. Poderia ter mais traduções em inglês. Muito para ver de um artista prolífico, que eu acho bastante engraçado em sua nomeação de peças.
A slightly different style of art museum from the Musées Royaux des Beaux-Arts de Belgique. I actually like this more. It's got a bizarre, strong-style, dream-like taste in every painting.
You can’t miss this museum. Imperdible! Visited on Public holiday … More
Superb museum/gallery of the great man's work. Learnt so much about him and saw a great selection of his work, spanning his entire life. It wasn't too crowded, and was well laid out. I had a bit of an issue with the lighting of the pictures until I realised it encourages people to stand in a semicircle around the paintings so all get a good view, then realised it was genius!
An amazing museum. We enjoyed the paintings and the stories behind them so much. The staff is very nice as well.
Perfect! I loved it! I super recommend to go there
One of the best collections I have ever seen! It made the whole museum complex worth to visit!
René Magritte has been one of my favourite artists ever. His art has always been a great inspiration for me. I believe his paintings have soooo many and complex meanings to decipher. His art is rich in messages and there are many stories behind his works. Hence, I was beyond happy that I could visit the René Magritte Museum in Brussels and could have an amazing experience! It is worth to discover the museum shop, too.
I’m a big fan of Magritte’s art and creative method, so it was a dream come true to see his paintings. Plus they had a special exhibition “Dali x Magritte”, and I knocked off two in one day
An extensive and well curated exhibit detailing Magritte’s life chronologically, and the interesting details behind many pieces. Getting an audio guide was really helpful. However, you should know that many of Magritte’s more iconic pieces are not at this museum.
I never get bored of seeing magritte s painting. Been here 3 times when I visited Brussels. To be able to study his style thru transition of period, thinking process, humour, sarcasm. A true artist.
The exposition was absolutely stunning! It was really well planned and chronologically organised. I deeply suggest to have the tour with the audio-guide, otherwise you’ll probably feel lost in front of the complexity of Magritte’s simpleness! Maybe they could improve the wheelchair service, but it was still fine! Really nice gift-shop too!
An excellent access to the work and the art of Magritte Visiting by floors covering different periods of the artist production Interesting focus on its most well-known master pieces Make sure to visit the shop full of funny goodies linked to Magritte work
Loved this museum so so much. I found the layout and storytelling throughout was very creative. I really got to understand René Magritte and his artwork. I entered hardly knowing Magritte and walked away a fan!
Really cool museum! It shows the entire life and work of Magritte, and does it very well! To me personally Magritte was much more interesting than the other collections.
Really well organised museum and lovely pieces! Although they may not be the most famous ones, here you learn about the development of the artist and appreciate other marvellous paintings that you didn't know you may love! This museum was not packed and had the proper time and space to enjoy all the details I wanted. The lighting was dark but made the environment really interesting and pleasant. Here you the poasibility to store our heavy backpacks and thick coats for free in the lockers at the entrance. I highly recommend you come here if you're a student, I paid as little as €3.00 or so, whereas adult price is around €10, but worth it!
The design of Magritte Museum is stylish and mysterious like his artworks! Highly recommend to rental Audioguide 3-4€!
Magritte museum is without a doubt one of the most interesting museums I've visited. The works of Magritte are both unique and interesting on many levels. The art range is wide and really encourages the viewer to think. They also have a film that is very rich of information about Magritte's birth and life. Very recommended for anyone interested in arts.
Fabulous place I go there every time I’m in Brussels . Always come away with something new.
Fantastic atmosphere in a modern museum! Chronological levels and interesting narrations about almost all pieces of art. The security control could have been less annoying.
It's a great way to immerse yourself in the work of the artist. You don't need to pay the full ticket to visit all the museum, you can buy a separate ticket just for this part. It took me 2 hours to visit all the floors.
Amazing masterpieces of Magritte are here. If you like art you should visit this museum
The museum has many of original Magritte's works and some that is inspired by it. It has three floors and it's cosy and compact. The museum shop has very nice items for Magritte fans. Recommended if you are in Brussels.
Well worth the ticket price. Especially after seeing the temporary exhibitions in the atominium
Great paintings, notes, pictures and drafts from all 3 seasons of Magritte. Unfortunately though his most famous creations are not here. Admission though is quite fair for the content of the expo.
Magritte's impressive collection is not only made of paintings. If you are interested in advertising from the 20th century or new artistic movements, you have to go here
The entrance of €10 is a bit much, but the exhibition is beautifully designed.
Love this museum! Great selection of art walking you through the artistic evolution of the artist and his contemporaries. The movie at the end is the cherry in top!
8 euros for adults, don't recommend the 4 euro audio guide because you don't really learn much. Paintings are top notch. Surrealist art is stuff anyone can appreciate because it's more modern and less abstract. I recommend watching a YouTube video about surrealist art before coming because there is no explanation there, only paintings.
In half dark halls, you can gaze at the art of an amazing artist. To understand better the work, I recommend to take an audio guide at the entrance. It's a must visit!
Pretty good museum, it starts from the third floor and you have to go downstairs, it has an explanation of what was Magritte going through and it has several discounts for teenagers, elders and students
Nice exposition. 3 floors of pictures. Very close to Central station. For those who love this artist this museum is must visit. Photo is allowed without flash.
A chronological presentation of the artist's life, his circle, style evolution in a broader context of history & artistic movements. Plenty of documents, aside from his works. You can either stop by for a brief tour, if pressed for time, or spend a few hours - equally worthwhile. Do not miss the museum shop!!
It's a quite small museum but you must visit and see the artworks of Brussel's best artist! The gift shop is excellent
very good museum!!Fantastic master piece! It is definitely worth 13 euros ticket!
Magritte Museum is part of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts of Begium. Located in the heart of Brussels this museum shows a complete vision of this great surrealist artist. Don't miss it!
