🗣️ Alhambra: Opiniões
Beautiful tourist attraction, the gardens are amazing and you can get some great photos of all the flowers. The palace itself is incredible and the views from the top are very cool. It can be very busy though so expect queues for some of the areas and there are only a few places to refill water bottles / go to bathroom. Overall it is defiantly a must see!
Alhambra is as spectacular as I remembered and photos can’t do it justice. Being one of the world’s most famous monuments for Islamic architecture and one of the best-preserved palaces of the historic Islamic world, the stalactite-like sculpture and intricate architecture amazes me every time. However there isn’t much information and introduction about all the sites. You need to rent an audio guide at extra cost or do research by yourself .
Ana amazing piece of history that is worth visiting, so many beautiful buildings of architectural interest and historical value. The gardens alone make it worth the visit and the views over Granada are out of this world. Definitely book on line before you go and make sure you take your passport with you or you won't get in! Prices are extremely reasonable for tickets and refreshments and though crowded you will want to spend all day there. The generalife gardens have such wonderful water features it's like stepping into a different world.
It's beautiful. Wear comfy shoes because you need to climb stairs (and the area id also hilly). Difficult to get clear pictures because it's always packed with tourists. The staff are also helpful and speak good English. The souvenir stores inside have comparable price to the ones in the city center, but they sell special books about Alhambra that you can't find in other souvenir stores. Would love to revisit again
I'm surprised that anyone would have anything negative to say about this place. Yes, you have to reserve your tickets ahead of time and yes they will check your ticket at several checkpoints throughout the visit, but this place is absolutely MAJESTIC. It is one of the most beautiful displays of art and architecture I have ever seen. The structure and art are pristinely kept and the visit is very organized. I recommend reading about it before your visit you can truly understand the value of this building and everything about it. Rich in history, rich in details, rich in everything. Don't miss it. Reserve your tickets at least one month in advance, but you can do it way ahead of that. What a beautiful experience!
I CANNOT beg you enough to get a guides tour DO NOT GO without a guide. Alhambra is HUGE and many times I kept thinking we had already been there, both in the gardens and in the actual castle. Plus getting to skip the line is great. Our tour guide was phenomenal and full of information. The 3 hours FLEW by! I would have never been able to appreciate Alhambra to the extent I did if I did not have a tour guide. Worth every penny.
The World Heritage site is wonderful, a unique life experience, but it's best to avoid summer. It gets hot there and there's a lot of walking and climbing stairs. The gardens are beautiful and pleasing. There are ancient ruins, and three palaces, and a mosque that was converted into the church of San Francisco, and which is now a hotel. The parking is controlled and when going back to your car it's a very long uphill walk. There is gravel and dirt you'll walk on at times, and there's a lot of walking, so bring comfortable walking shoes like sneakers. But, all in all, it is well worth the visit.
Wow, wow, wow... This place is just as great as everyone says! I didn't have too high expectations before, but organisation and friendliness of the staff were exceptional. Everyone visiting Granada has to see this place! It costs 14 €, but the place is huge and one can easily spend 3-5 hours here.
A must do. I spent 6 hours there admiring everything (and didn't even get through it all). There are clean toilets and a few snack bars so you can spend the day there comfortably. You should book tickets in advance.
It was really amazing place. We read a lot of nice informations about this place, and we're looking forward to our visit. Started at 9.30 Saturday morning. It was really good time, around noon was busy there, so we had a lot of time to enjoy pretty quiet atmosphere. Recommend to go everywhere, to the gardens, church, museums, everything highly recommend to visit.
The most amazing and beautiful historical site I have ever seen. I had the good fortune to visit Alhambra in the off season (January) and during a covid spike and so the Alhambra was virtually empty.
One of those unique places in the world. Two steps from the city center (it is worth doing the climb on foot even if it has a significant slope). The staff in charge of organizing the visits. they are very nice. There is a night visit that will delight anyone.
Definitely a place to visit. I however do not suggest to walk from town to there as you need all your strength for the big walk around there. The waiting crowd makes you think that the waiting time will be long but it is not the case. Do it! Stunning views! Amazing place!
Absolutely beautiful place and worth every penny! Although poor signage to the palace entrance so we missed our time slot and had to repay for everyone's tickets to be able to see it! Make sure you check your time and familiarise yourself with where the entrance is as the signs are tiny! But lovely lovely place! Well kept, lovely staff, lovely day out!
Beautiful, lovely place with such an interesting mix of religious and general history. If it's your first time visiting, being in a guided tour is a great help to get an overview of the context of the grounds as well as to touch on everything there is to see. There are both public and ticketed areas, so feel free to come to the free areas and enjoy the views. It can get busy and if you want the best photo opportunities, come during the offseason and come early. The gardens, one of the newer parts of the space, were especially beautiful to a flower lover like me.
If you are visiting for the first time, it’s great to see. Keep in mind to pay for entry before hand as this makes the process much easier. There is an option to rent a headset for €6 each (comes with only one ear piece per headset) this explains to you the history of where you are and in each building and garden area. This option would be best for if you dont want to spend money on a tour guide.
No word can describe how amazing the Alhambra is! Incomparable to any other palace I’ve been to! The palaces, gardens, view from top, the walk to and from, everything is amazing ! Just buy beforehand the ticket because queuing isn’t always possible! The visit takes at least 4h
If you come to visit Granada then a day at Alhambra is a must. For warmer Summer weather season, plan for a very early start time. Trust me, You’ll walk hours on end and it gets progressively more crowded later in the day. There are places to get snacks, refreshments and souvenirs. But if you bring snacks in that’s okay too. It is mostly an outdoor experience. The palace is gorgeous you’ll want to plan your visit there too. They have entry times very organized by ticket reservations. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring sunglasses and SPF. This entire visit was so breathtaking!
Plan on visiting this world heritage site when you are in the area! It’s an amazing place with rich history and distinctive architecture, as well as it’s amazing and expansive gardens. You will see panoramic views from here of the surrounding town and mountains, too. Don’t miss the Nasrid Palace when you visit. Be sure to get tickets online in advance for the palace, as they sell out quickly and you must have a definite time scheduled to see that. We spent about 3 hours walking around. It is a large site, so wear comfortable shoes and carry along some water with you. There are very few options for food or snacks, so plan on taking some with you. You can drive up to Alhambra and park there for a fee, or you can take a bus up there from downtown. We are happy that we put this on our schedule!
Marvellous place! Stunning architectural solutions. Must see but preferably during spring or autumn when temperatures are not soaring around 40 degrees Celsius. We bought tickets in advance for a guided toir, but not sure it was the best choice. See photo attached. Don't forget your passport, or photo ID. The ticket is only valid together with your id. If I would go again, probably I would choose the self-paced, audio guide.
A very impressive place with rich culture, artistic designs and extraordinary artwork. The inside and outside are so very different and contrast in my opinion. It is quite a big place to explore so a few hours are needed to visit it. Also quite some walking. Online ticket booking is strongly recommended if you don’t want to wait in a long line at the entrance under the hot sun.
Wow! Definitely reserve your tickets prior to arriving in Granada. We enjoyed every part of the Alhambra. Amazing palace, gardens , grounds. Bring water and know that if you want to see the whole Alhambra be prepared to walk. Also be prepared for a lot of people. One of the great palaces in Spain
Must see during your visit to Andalusia. beautiful palaces and gardens, impressive structures and wonderful views. parking available close by, although quite expensive (2.5 euro per hour). worth visiting with a guide who will explain the history of this place. the entire complex is about 3 hours of sightseeing at a normal pace
One of the most incredible places I've ever seen for art, culture, architecture and history. Absolutely beautiful and so rich in history. Make sure you research about purchasing tickets and buy them well in advance. I wanted to do the night tour too but tickets sold out very quickly (2 months in advance). We got the general tickets for the palaces and gardens as well as the audio guide (guide was an extra 6 euros you can purchase when you're there).
What an incredible item to check off the bucket list! This is unlike other places you'll think of going (granted I haven't been to many international points of interest) but this has so many layers of history it's almost overwhelming. I suggest getting a group or private guide to walk you through things as there is a lot. If you have time to read up on Washington Irving, it will help give a bit more understanding of recent history. That said the palace itself is spectacular. How the building integrates culture, art, and math is pretty spectacular and as the compound has been occupied by multiple groups there are stark changes to the architecture. There are a few well placed shops, snack stops, but wear walking shoes and bring a reusable bottle of water. There's also a hotel and higher end restaurant on the property but if you don't feel the need to splurge you're not too far away from town. It was an experience I will never forget!!
I waited for one year to visit the Alhambra, even if I live just a few kilometers away. Since we are moving to Madrid, it had be now or never. What a fantastic experience, it was truly magnificent and awe-inspiring! Aside from the incredible hot temperature of the current heat wave, everything was in my opinion perfect. When you're in Granada, you're most likely here to visit the Alhambra anyway, but if you're not, do not miss it!
What an amazing place, a royal city and citadel. It's a huge complex of Moorish & Spanish renaissance palaces (six of them), fortress, gardens, baths, and churches. The original fortress and palace was built in the 11th century and later ruler continually modified the site over the next 600 years. The major construction which gives the complex it's distinctive character took place in the 14th century. A wonderful historical site.
This was an absolutely stunning place! I highly recommend visiting this if you ever visit Granada. The architecture is breathtaking and I’m completely amazed at the attention to detail these architects and artisans provided to build such a masterpiece. We used a guide to tour the grounds, which I definitely recommend because you will be provided with a rich history and fun facts.
Great place for families and solo trips. An standard pass it’s like 14€, but you can get a guide for a deeper experience. Nice views of Granada city. Seen the water of the gardens reminds me of how my thoughts flow through my mind. Tickets should de bought in advance in order to avoid crowds and queues.
One of must visit places in Granada and specially if you are exploring Spain for the first time. the Islamic dated historical place is full of beauty and awe inspiring moments. You can marvel the architect, the garden designs and the surrounding scenes. If you are planning to visit, advice is to book your tickets in advance, wear comfy shoes and have a good camera
Absolutely beautiful place, amazing to see the architecture and scale of the place. Would recommend buying the full park ticket including the gardens etc. as they are stunning. In June there were roses in bloom, oranges in the trees, and lilies in the water. Delightful.
Absolutely incredible place. Breathtaking. It’s splendour and it’s Islamic history is clear for all to see. As is the insane view of the city. Only issue is the audio feed of the tour guide wasn’t of great quality but otherwise he was so friendly and helpful and I think appreciative of feedback and questions. Visited on Weekday Reservation recommended Yes … More
Absolutely wonderful. Got a guided tour that was supposed to take 3 hours, but ended up being almost 4 hours because we had a great guide that showed us so many things. Loved the architecture, nature, and the water elements. Interesting to see the mixture of styles and decoration throughout the ages with multiple religions and groups occupying the space. Beautiful place. We got there around 13:00 for a 15:00 tour, letting us get good parking and have a leisurely lunch before hand. It can be quite a few miles of walking, but not too many steps unless you want to go into the towers. Plenty of water fill-up stations so bring a bottle to keep hydrated. While there are a lot of shady parts, some portions have you in the sun a bitm
Absolutely magical place. We enjoyed our trip so much. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area but make sure you pack comfortable shoes cause you will walk a lot :)
Amazing place .. so much beauty and history. We visited in March the weather was beautiful so we enjoyed the walk around the gardens. The architecture was amazing so beautiful!! Must see. This despite the fact that our guide was not that good, limited historical knowledge and very bad English that we hardly understood half of what she was saying.. yet the experience was amazing.. a must do when in Spain.
Alhambra on UNESCO World Heritage List, an absolute must see. A fantastic experience that takes you through well-kept gardens, castles of history, wealth and power. I guess that any season is a good time to visit, but my choice was Spring, which is good timing to visit the beautiful flowering gardens, crowed but still ok and sunny but not too warm. I didn’t go on a guided tour, which gave me time to enjoy it in my own pace. And I booked the ticket a month in advance.
Really enjoyed getting to see this. My husband and I had a really nice time learning the history and getting to see the gardens. It was crowded but not nearly as bad as it probably is in the summer. If you are in Spain it's a must see!
An incredible experience to be able to wander through such a well preserved area of such historic significant. The architecture and surrounding scenery defy description. A must-see. Be prepared to walk a lot and climb some stairs for the best views!
Stunning place. The palace is beautiful in all senses. It takes about 4 hours to walk through the most places at the hill. We didn't pick the audio guide since we were not interested in the detailed information if every corner. We just wanted to be mesmerized by the palace and its architecture.
This may be the most amazing experience I have had while touring historical locations/ Museums. I was speechless the entire time. I highly recommend visiting while in Granada. Do a little research about the palace and the Kings before going. It made it even cooler for us when we visited. Also, I highly recommend getting the audio guide. It helped visualize the palace more. Such an incredible experience.
